Dr. Dan Perry grew up in Mobileand graduated from McGill-Toolen High School in 1986. He earned a Bachelor of Science in biology from Spring Hill College in 1990. Dr. Perryattended the University of Alabama School of Dentistry, and obtainedhis Doctorate of Dental Medicine in 1995.
Dr. Perry moved back to his hometown and joined the practice of Dr. Harry Coker in 1997, so he could learnunder one of the most renowned clinicians in the state and establishhis knowledge base in restorative and cosmetic dentistry. Under the guidance of Dr. Coker and his partner, Dr. Bud Rogers, Dr. Perry was able to practiceand perform extensive restorativeprocedures at an early age. His mentorsguidance also enabled Dr. Perry toobtain the finest continuing education available duringhis formative years. Dr. Perry completed courses under Dr.Pete Dawson, Dr.Frank Spear, and The Pankey Institute, to name a few.
Dr. Perry has maintained an active membership in the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry since 2000. He is amember of the Pankey Institute Alumni Association, one the nations foremost centers of continuing education, based in Miami. In 2004, he was nominated for membership in the Chicago-based American Equilibration Society, an organization devoted to the study of occlusion and its effects on the dentition and supporting structures. Dr. Perry is also a member of the American Dental Association, Alabama Dental Association, and the Mobile Area Dental Society, and he maintains an active membership in the Chicago Dental Society.
In 2015, Dr. Perry moved into his current office at 4863 Old Shell Roada facility that allows him to provide optimal patient care. Dr. Perry and his staff consistently seek the finest continuing dental education in order expand their knowledge and keep up with the latest techniques and materials. Dr. Perry incorporated CEREC technology athis office in 2012, which providedthe ability to use digital impression techniques and CAD-CAM technology to fabricate crowns in the course ofa single visit. Dr. Perry also includes the treatment of TMJ dysfunction and obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) to his list of services.
Dr. Perry maintains an active general dentistry practice with an emphasis on restorative and cosmetic dentistry as well as dental implants. He welcomes new patients for both restorative needs and routine care.
I have worked with Dr. Perry for more than nineteen years and love being part of such a great team. I love being part of our patients lives. Its a great feeling to build relationships with people while helping them improve their dental and overall health. Our patients deserve the best care, and thats what Dr. Perry and our team provide. Were professional, experienced, and always focused on patient comfort. I work with patients: cleaning their teeth, providing periodontal therapy, and taking impressions and radiographs. A lot of my time is spent teaching people how to take control of their dental health. We review good home dental hygiene, nutrition, and how to develop healthy habits. In addition to oral hygiene care, I provide chairside assistance. I also order supplies, sterilize tools and equipment, and handle lab work. My time away from work usually involves being with family and friends. I also love gardening, nature walks, and bicycling.
I love our patients: getting to know each, helping to fulfill their dental needs, and earning their trust and friendship. Dr. Perry is kind and gentle, as are my coworkers, and we want our patients to know how important they are to us. Well always care for them like family and do everything possible to keep them smiling! I work in the clinic to set up and break down the operatories, keep everything organized and stocked, and prep rooms for procedures. I also greet and seat patients, prepare them for their procedure, and explain what will happen. Sitting chairside, I assist Dr. Perry with clinical procedures while making sure our patient is comfortable and relaxed. I love a patients smiles and words of thanks at the end of a visit! I have been Dr. Perrys chairside assistant for roughly two years and love patient care while learning new materials and techniques. I particularly love resin bonding and CEREC procedures. When Im not working, I enjoy cooking, volunteering with my friends, and bartending at a farm-to-table restaurant. I also like playing with my dogs and cats, being with my family, going to church, bumming rides on airplanes, and kickboxing.
