Welcome to Spring Grove Dental! I often get asked, Why would anyone want to be a dentist? Going down the memory lane, as a kid I remember spending a lot of time in the dental chair that experience naturally made me curious about the profession. As I grew older, I was not only attracted to the autonomy and independence of the profession but also was attracted to the challenge of taking something that is perceived to be so unpleasant , making it into a positive and rewarding experience for the patients.
My core practice value: Making positive experiences through patient-centric dentistry. This drives the entire experience in our office. From the time you walk into our practice, Its All About You. Our approach is to help individualize care for each patient, in the manner in which the patient seeks. There is simply not only one way or only one option to get that perfect smile!! Education and mutually respectful communication are the foundations of successful outcomes and we strive to practice that every day in our office. With about 20 years of clinical experience, I still get great joy every day helping people get the treatment they need in an empowering and more pleasant manner than they would have ever perceived.
Where did my journey begin? My dental education began at the BVP Dental College in India. After 7 years of practicing in Mumbai, India, I immigrated to the United States. I graduated from the University of California, School of Dentistry in San Francisco in 2008 and augmented that education with a residency in Advanced General Dentistry from the University of Pacific in Stockton, CA. After living and practicing in St. Louis, Minneapolis and Tucson, we moved to Indiana in 2015 and have called the Hoosier state our home since. I love and enjoy caring for my patients in the broader Richmond community- you guys are awesome and I am humbled by the love and support you guys have shown me. Besides dentistry, I love being a mom to my kids Vihaan and Akshara, I love travelling and making wonderful memories with my family, exploring the natural beauty in Indiana, watching movies and sometimes just doing nothing (if my kids will let me!!)
I absolutely LOVE working with and being able to serve our patients. They make this job fun, and it is great getting to know them and their families. Also, our team is the best! Each person here is very good at what they do, absolutely want to do the best things they can for the patients, and work very well together. In her spare time, you will find Becky enjoying a number of crafts such as crocheting, cross-stitch, and painting. She also enjoys volunteering with young singles, teaching, playing with her grandkids, and traveling.
Hi, I am Casey and I am the dental hygienist at Spring Grove Dental. I grew up here in Wayne County and went to Northeastern. In 2012 I graduated from the University of Cincinnati with an associate in Dental Hygiene. I enjoy spending time with and getting to know my patients. I take pride in educating my patients on how good oral hygiene can result in improved quality of life. We've only been to the office once but so far the staff are friendly and the office is very clean. I felt very comfortable being a new patient. I also feel that her work will get me to my dental goals and needs. She took time to explain everything they were doing to me as well as building a dental plan to fix my teeth. My son said he liked it there too. I would recommend this dentist to my family and friends!

I've been to Dr. Shoba twice now, for exams and fillings. My fillings were quick and nearly painless, and I was informed of every step. As a patient, Dr. Shoba and her staff make you feel very comfortable. You can tell they all work hard to create an environment of care and respect. I am happy to support an office like this.

They are kind, caring and knowledgeable. Willing to accommodate in any way possible. Explain everything and keep you informed from beginning to end. We've had some bad experiences in the past, and we will never change dentists again. Everyone is amazing!!!

From the time you meet Becky or Paul at the front door, Vanessa for your initial consult, and Dr. Shoba for your procedure they make you feel like family! This group of amazing people always go above and beyond. They are fun, relatable, and truly care about not just teeth but people in general. Oh, my kids love them too! Win win for my whole family! Another great visit! Casey did a great job of cleaning my teeth! She also let me know that it had been almost two years since they had put fluoride on my teeth, so I decided to have that done. Dr Shoba did a thorough examination of my teeth, did a little work to smooth a spot on my cap, then put on the fluoride. Thank you for taking great care of my teeth! As usual, Becky did a great job of checking me in and out, taking my payment and scheduling my next appointment. All of your cheerfulness makes for a very enjoyable visit! See you the next time!

Very professional and very flexible in case of emergencies. I also feel like family there. It was nice recently to get my teeth cleaned and then take a couple minutes sharing pictures back and forth of the staff's and my remarkable children and grandchildren. Good dental care; good friends.
