During your routine exam at Spring Arbor Dental, either an experienced hygienist or your Jackson, MI dentist will thoroughly clean your teeth. About once a year, x-rays will be performed so we can assess the health of your teeth, bite, and jaw.

Dr. Di Jiang received her dental degree and Masters degree from China Medical University in 1987 and 1993, respectively. After graduation, she practiced and taught dentistry at Dalian Medical University for almost nine years. She came to State University of New York at Buffalo, School of Dental Medicine in 1996 and completed a two-year masters program in Oral Medicine in 1998. During her graduate study in Buffalo, she was awarded the Mark Diamond Fund and The American College of Prosthodontists/Proctor & Gamble Research Fellowship in Complete Denture Prosthodontics. She moved to Michigan, where she worked as a researcher in the Department of Periodontics and Oral Medicine at the University of Michigan School of Dentistry for several years. She then attended her residency program in the Department of Cardiology, Restorative Science, and Endodontics. She completed a three-year masters program in Restorative Dentistry in 2008. Dr. Jiang serves as an Adjunct Faculty member at the University of Michigan, School of Dentistry as a clinical assistant professor and clinical instructor. She also practices dentistry in private dental offices. She started work in this office with Dr. Carpenter in 2009. Dr. Jiang is a member of the American Dental Association and Michigan Dental Association. As a general dentist, her career has mostly focused on preventive dentistry, cosmetic dentistry, and endodontics. She is very well trained and experienced in restorative dentistry, especially cosmetic dentistry. She is also trained in dental implants, root canal therapy, extractions, crowns and bridges, inlays and onlays, partials and dentures, pediatric dentistry, and periodontal tissue management. She believes strongly in educating patients about healthy lifestyles and disease prevention. Dr. Jiang is a mother of two children. She spends most of her leisure time with her family and enjoys cooking, outdoor activities, and travel.

Dr. Amanda was born and raised in southeast Michigan. She completed her Bachelors of Science at Oakland University. After undergraduate, she taught Anatomy and Physiology at Baker College before entering dental school. She attended the University of Michigan School of Dentistry and graduated in 2015. Because of her passion for dentistry and teaching, Dr. Amanda is a Clinical Assistant Professor at UMSOD, where she teaches and mentors future dentists.

Always keeping up with the latest in continuing education, Dr. Amanda strives to learn about the newest literature and advances in dentistry. An example of such education is using Botox and dermal fillers for therapeutic and cosmetic purposes. Dr. A was certified through the American Academy of Facial Esthetics and is eager to help a plethora of patients, ranging from wanting to smoothen fine lines and wrinkles to treating patients who suffer from clenching/grinding and tension headaches.
