Dr. Khurana is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. She earned her dental degree from the University of Maryland and attended New York Universitys College of Dentistry for her specialty training. At NYU, Dr. Khurana supervised undergraduate dental students and provided treatment in complex cases involving patients with special needs.
To this day, she maintains a profound interest in her work with children and adults who have rare health conditions, syndromes, and genetic disorders. She enthusiastically collaborates with other dental and medical specialists, including occupational and speech therapists, to ensure that every patient receives the best comprehensive care possible.
Dr. Khurana is not only a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, she is also an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) and Diplomate of the American Board of Laser Surgery.
As a mother of two young children herself, she draws from her personal experiences to cultivate a safe, supportive and loving relationship for her patients; nurturing the mother and infant dyad. Dr. Khurana finds so much joy in helping mothers and their babies and looks forward to helping in any way she can.
After receiving her Certificate in Pediatric Dentistry, Dr. Khurana spent several years providing exceptional care to underserved children in New Orleans, Louisiana. Her experience there shaped Dr. Khuranas approach to patient-focused care, where a patients needs, preferences, and beliefs are respected at all times.
Over the years, Dr. Khurana has made every effort to extend her services to those in need even overseas! She has traveled extensively to India and countries in West and South Africa, where she has volunteered in dental and family health clinics.
Dr. Khurana is married to her high school sweetheart, Jason. Together, they are enjoying the excitement of raising their awesome son and daughter. Aside from her children, her dogs and dentistry, Dr. Khuranas hobbies include world traveling and extreme sports (from sky diving and rock climbing to great white shark diving you name it, shes tried it). She enjoys running, biking, yoga and is also an avid skier.
Dr. Nirali Mehta was born and raised in beautiful Northern Virginia. She received her undergraduate degree at Virginia Tech, in Blacksburg, Virginia (Go Hokies!) before moving to Glendale, Arizona, where she earned her dental degree at Midwestern University. During her time at Midwestern, Dr. Nirali proudly received the Dean's award for general dentistry. She was also able to complete a dental mission trip to the country of Tonga where she treated local patients in need. Also, she volunteered with multiple philanthropic organizations, and continues to do so whenever she can.
Although Dr. Nirali enjoyed her time in Arizona chasing her career goals, she always knew she wanted to return home to Virginia where she would be surrounded by her amazing friends and family. Dr. Niralis love for pediatric dentistry is ever-growing, and she prides herself on having a comprehensive and gentle outlook when treating patients.
In her free time, she loves making memories with her friends and family, especially watching and attending local sporting events. Dr. Nirali also has a passion for music, travel and loves classic movies. She is so excited to be a part of the Sporting Smiles team!
As a skilled, board certified orthodontic provider, Dr. Monica Dinh is committed to providing patients with the highest quality of orthodontic care. Born and raised in Northern Virginia, Dr. Dinh graduated from the College of William & Mary with a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience; she earned her Doctorate from Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry, and specialized in Orthodontics and Dento-Facial Orthopedics at Nova Southeastern University. During her residency, Dr. Dinh also received her Master of Science Degree.
Dr. Dinh has gone through orthodontic treatment herself, using headgear and rubberbands, which has given her a first-hand understanding of what challenges may arise from being in braces as a teenager. She recognizes the value orthodontics has on one's facial appearance and self-confidence long after the braces are removed.
Dr. Dinh enjoys serving her community, volunteering her time with the Virginia Missions of Mercy Project and Give Kids a Smile. She is a current member of the American Association of Orthodontics, Southern Association of Orthodontics, Virginia Association of Orthodontics as well as the Northern Virginia Dental Society. Similar to her own positive experience with braces, Dr. Dinhs goal is to make her patients treatment fun and comfortable. Outside of the office, she enjoys spin class, wedding planning, trying out fun, new recipes, playing her dan tranh (a Vietnamese 16 stringed instrument), spending quality time with friends and family (which include all 17 cousins!) and she is an oyster enthusiast!

The dentists here are so kind and caring. They make sure that your kids are comfortable and relaxed. They don't rush, make sure that the kids are numb, and the kids don't even see it coming. My kids don't stress over the dentist because of their amazing service. The billing is easy and they provide estimates up front. My twins have been getting their dental work done here since they were 6 years old (they're 10 now). I highly recommend Sporting Smiles!!

When covid hit they tried to limit family members that went back with patients (tried to only allow 1 parent back with the child), which was smart. They had a hand sanitizer station set up. Again, good idea. 2.5 years later they are attempting to do the same thing. My wife was told she could not bring the other 2 kids back today. Then the suggestion of our 7 year old watching our 1.5 year old was throw out like that's a normal thing. She asked questions assuming it was a covid policy but was told they just want to limit people in the office because it is easier on the dentist. The 7 year old was then allowed to go back with the 5 year old but that didn't work. Finally, after much back and forth my wife was told she could go back with the kids. They were then forced to use hand sanitizer as someone watched. As a family, we try to plan out the appointments so only 1 kid has to go with the parents. However, it doesn't always work out that way. We are not paying a baby sitter to then go to a dentist appointment. We will be looking for a new dentist as I'm over the non-sense at the office. It's a shame because the dentists are great.

Sporting smiles is like a second family to us! They treat us like family every time and Viv the pug makes every visit enjoyable and comforting! Dr. Natasha and Dr. Dinh are both amazing, I couldn't be more pleased with their expertise, customer service and for always going above and beyond to ensure our kiddos are comfortable and leave with a smile ! Vivian and Tracy are such an excellent therapy team! We are so grateful for Vivian's cuddles. She helped ease my little girl's nerves and provided just the perfect environment for her extractions. She couldn't have even thought about sitting for her appointment without Vivian's support.

Best pediatric dentist in Virginia! A big thank you to Dr Khurana and your amazing staff. After our visit today Cameron cheerfully announced that going to the dentist is now one of his favorite things to do! He can't wait to go back. You are kind, caring and gentle. You have a way of connecting with him in a warm and respectful way. His trust in you and your staff makes us all smile. : ) I so wish I could have had such a wonderful experience when I was a kid.

This is hands down the best place you could take your kids for dental care. Don't think twice. Not only is the staff amazing but they have thought of EVERYTHING to make you have a wonderful experience.They even have a therapy pup! Vivienne snuggled my son and he didn't even realize he had as about to have a tooth removed. Vivienne calmed me as a parent! My son was looking forward to his next visit and I think that speaks volumes to our experience there. Run...don't walk...but maybe go for a walk with Vivienne

Today my son had to get two fillings and he was a bit nervous. Vivian the pug came and cuddled with him for the whole procedure. He's almost 12 and it was such a nice experience for him and he didn't even have to share his nervousness, he was just given the sweet dog came to snuggle pug him.

We love Sporting Smiles! With twins, I am unable to be in both rooms during the appointment. My daughter, who was going to the room alone, was a bit nervous prior to the appointment. So thankful that Vivian and her mom Tracy were there to make my daughter feel so comfortable. It turned out to be a great appointment! They even gave us cards with Vivian's picture on it to take home. Thanks for going the extra mile to make the little ones feel comfortable.

This was my son's (age 4) first procedure in regards to dentistry and I couldn't have asked for a better place. I absolutely love this office. I wish they worked on adults as well! The entire team is kind, patient and really speak to the children. Bonus, Vivian the Pug! Both my son and I were thrilled to have her there for support. Just a great experience all around and would definitely recommend this office to anyone looking for a pediatric dentist.

Dr. K and the entire Sporting Smiles team are AMAZING! If you are looking for a dental practice for your children this is the place. Everyone here is super friendly and they make you feel right at home. they make the appointments so easy and fun for my kids that they never want to leave and get sad when they have to wait 6 months before they get to go again. An added bonus is they do orthodontics in house too! A one stop shop it can't get any better than that.

I usually have so much anxiety when I go to the dentist but all of the staff in the office was so warm and reassuring. I loved everything about the experience, there was even a service dog, Vivian, to help with my dentist jitters. Thank you so much to the staff for helping me get my teeth clean and help me put together a great post care plan! The compassion and care that I received from Dr. Nirali and Dr. Khurana was unmatched. Highly recommend!!

I brought my very nervous 6 year old yesterday. After a traumatizing experience at another dentist we were a bundle of nerves. I can't say enough great things about our experience. From the minute we entered the front desk staff was very warm and polite. My daughter was introduced to Vivian the therapy pug. They allowed Vivian to stay through our entire visit comforting my daughter. They explained everything and were patient and kind. They had her smiling throughout every part of her appointment. This office is amazing. They truly cared about making the appointment as easy and stress free as possible. My daughter who was terrified of going to the dentist now loves the dentist and can't wait to come back. We will definitely be a forever patient. Thank you to all the staff at Sporting Smiles for being the best at what you do.

This is absolutely the BEST Pediatric Dental office ever!!! Dr K and her staff are amazing. We've never felt more comfortable, taken care or this at ease at any other Drs office. And we absolutely love Vivian the Pug service dog. She has helped our daughter through several appointments and we love her.

Callie refused to make an initial appointment unless I had insurance present. Since I drive a lot for work I handle a lot of business while going from one place to the next. I just call back with all insurance info. Nope.... She would not accommodate me... i kept asking her if I didn't have insurance.

This is the best pediatric dentistry in the area! We love the doctors and staff. The front desk staff are so pleasant and helpful. Dr. Khurana is simply amazing with children. Every hygienist we have come across shows that they really love their job. This makes visits so easy especially for younger children.

Absolutely love this place! Took my 2.5 year old daughter for her first visit today. Everyone was super friendly with both her and myself. She loved every second of it. The encouragement everyone kept giving her made it such a positive experience.
