At Spinnaker Pediatric Dentistry, we are much more than a dental practice that happens to see children; our dentists are true pediatric dental care providers. Many dentists will accept children as patients, but few dentists are dedicated to kids dentistry specifically. At our practice, everything we do is geared toward kidsexclusively.

From the moment your babys first tooth appears, we are here to help your child with all their dental needs and goals. Whether its a routine cleaning, a dental emergency, or a complicated treatment, we are always ready with compassionate and expert care.
To that end, we are happy to provide several sedation options for your kid. These include laughing gas, conscious sedation, and general anesthesia. Additionally, we consistently use gentle techniques and advanced technology to make every treatment as pain-free as possible.
As pediatric dentists dedicated to kids oral health, Drs. Cooper and Day also offer cosmetic dentistry for children. We realize its important to their self-esteem for kids to look their best. Our special treatments, including pediatric crowns and tooth-colored fillings, help your childs smile stay healthy and beautiful. As always, our cosmetic dental services are gentle and tailored especially for kids.
Being a parent myself, I know how important it is to choose the right dentist to trust with your childs oral health. It is my goal to provide the best care possible in an environment that is comfortable and non-threatening. I am always pleased when a child leaves our office knowing that there is nothing to fear when going to the dentist.
In accordance with my Eagle Scout pledge to give back to Scouting all it has given to me I have been a Cub Scout leader since my oldest son entered the Pack.To relax, I enjoy such activities as camping, flying small aircraft, watching movies while completing puzzles, and of course, sailing!
Born in California, Dr. Day moved around the country with her family growing up, living in California, Virginia and Tennessee. She attended Duke University and majored in English with every intention of becoming a high school teacher. After college she followed a passion for adventure and spent three years teaching English in Miyagi, Japan. Life took unexpected turns and there she met her husband Justin from Somerset, England and started thinking about dentistry as a career. She returned to America and graduated at the top of her dental school class from University of Tennessee Health Science Center. Always loving working with children, she went on to study pediatric dentistry at University of Illinois at Chicago earning a Masters Degree in Oral Sciences. She is a diplomat of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. She loves working with the team at Spinnaker and our dedication to the highest quality dental care for children.
Following her husbands English passion for cool temperate weather, she moved to Oregon to practice pediatric dentistry. She enjoys gardening, cooking, and exploring the outdoors with her husband and young son. Her family is very happy to have settled into Salem and you can often find them at one of Salems many parks on the weekends.

Dr. Cooper has seen all of our kids. Recently he performed a maxillary frenectomy on our two year old. The anesthesiologist and Dr. Cooper did a wonderful job.

Dr Cooper and his staff are always amazing... but today they went above and beyond! My daughter fell this afternoon and chipped her front tooth and they got her in right away to fix it. As always, I'm so appreciative of Dr Cooper and everyone on his team!

Always a great visit with Dr Cooper! All the staff make kids feel special and comfortable! The front office staff are so kind and friendly! Spinnaker makes it easy for parents to take their kids to the dentist!

The initial arrival environment is calm, supportive. The staff are professional, kind, and gently firm when they need to be to get things accomplished. I've had nothing but positive experiences with them with multiple children of different ages.

Our daughter had an appointment with Dr Day and her assistant today. They were great and made her feel right at home. I'm not sure why, but she gets really scared when we bring her to our dentist. I'm so glad they referred her here, as it's super kid-friendly. Everyone was very nice! Our daughter left with a smile on her face. Thanks guys!

By far the best dental experience I've ever had. Getting in for an appointment was very easy. The staff was very good and dealt with my daughter very well. It was her first time at five years old and she was not so willing to work with them but they we're very good at making her feel more at ease. Dr Cooper has a very good bedside manner and got my very shy daughter to talk and work with them. They worked with us when my daughter needed urgent work done and I felt they really went the extra mile thru the entire process.

Great atmosphere for kids, they are very patient with difficult/ shy/scared kids. Dr Cooper is wonderful at explaining cares for the kids in the future as well a what to look out for.
