Dr. Gerald Spencer has been setting the highest standards of excellence in orthodontics for more than 30 years and uses the most advanced techniques available today. An Oklahoma native, Dr. Spencer earned his undergraduate degree from Oklahoma State University (Deans Honor Roll) before earning his dental degree from the University of Missouri at Kansas City. He then continued his education by completing a specialized residency in orthodontics, also at UMKC.
Through his advanced training and testing, Dr. Spencer is board-certified and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics, a distinction held by less than 25% of practicing orthodontists. He has completed specialized courses to become certified by the American Board of Pain Management and has published articles in peer-reviewed orthodontic journals. Dr. Spencer is also a member in other leading orthodontic organizations including the American Association of Orthodontists and the American Association of Functional Orthodontics. In recognition of his experience and judgment, Dr. Spencer was personally appointed by Missouris governor to the Missouri State Dental Board, where he served as president in his fifth year.
Dr. Spencer is well-known as a warm and considerate professional who provides exceptional treatment results. He supports his local community and is also a volunteer with the Virginia Brown Community Orthodontic Partnership. Dr. Spencer is also known for his comical and witty nature, this makes treatment both productive and entertaining.

Our staff is trained and skilled, and we strive to provide energetic and fun-loving service to each patient. Our patient coordinators are all certified orthodontic assistants with expanded-functions certification, and our office staff has years of experience in treating patients with the highest level of care. We strive to stay abreast of the very latest in technology and advances by regularly attending continuing education courses and seminars.

Deena has been the financial coordinator and insurance guru for more than 16 years. Anyone who has had the pleasure to meet her, knows of her outgoing, cheerful personality. She always brings the sunshine to the office.
Deena is the proud mother of two sons, Cameron and Caleb, better known as the Venters Bros Lawn Pros. She enjoys spending time with her husband Galen, but does have to compete with his love of golf! (You never know; maybe he'll end up at the Masters!)
Trudy has carried her orthodontic certification for more than 11 years, but is considered our magician. If something needs to be fixed, ordered, or created, she does it all! Without her, it would all go up in smoke. If you are lucky enough to catch a glimpse of Trudy before she flies into action, her quick smile and fun personality will dizzy up your day.
Evelyn is one of our certified orthodontic assistants and has been with us for more than nine years. Don't let her petite size fool you; she can eat twice her weight in chips and salsa at El Tap! Her innocent smile can be deceiving as she can be quite sneaky and loves pulling pranks. She has earned the nickname; Evil-lyn (from He-Man) but she is definitely far from evil (just feisty)!
Treasure is truly one of the famous gems on our team and a certified orthodontic assistant. X marked the spot when she landed here more than eight years ago. You can't miss this tall blonde, flashing her pearly whites as she is working hard. She cherishes the many friendships she has developed with her patients. Somewhat quiet, she may appear shy but in reality she is very outgoing and funny.
Our British Import (as some call her) is married to Jim (retired Air Force) and they have one son Gage, one daughter Bryton, and three spoiled dogs named Winston, Maggie, and Fagin. We have learned that many words don't translate well from England to the States. When she told us once she had to get her suitcase out of her boot, we thought she was crazy; how did she get her suitcase INTO her boot? Well, she didn't; her boot was the trunk of her car!
Christie is our scheduling coordinator and Master Cookie Maker! She has been with us for more than five years. Her contagious smile is a comforting welcome when entering our office (along with the smell of her fresh-baked cookies).
You would never guess it, with her calm and soothing nature, but she is the mother of four children who keep her running in all directions. Her daughter Kelsie and her sons CJ, Zane, and Trace are her pride and joy, and she feels being a mother is the most rewarding job available (other than working with all of us of course)!
Randi has been a certified orthodontic assistant for more than four years. We consider her the flavor of our team. She is rarely left without a quick response; she's fast on her toes. She keeps everyone entertained with her vibrant personality. Youll have to catch her on the fly thoughshe's always on the run to see whom she can help next. This truly makes her an asset to our team!

Mrs. Robin is probably the sweetest person I've ever met. I really did enjoy this place and the people that work here. I had troubles with a few things but nothing that the staff didn't help me with instantly. Would absolutely recommend Dr. Spencer and Dr. Vaughn to anyone.

Dr. Spencer and his staff are the greatest. They gave us a stellar orthodontic experience for three of our children. The retainers they use are top of the line - I didn't realize that until our fourth son needed braces. We had moved away so we went with a new orthodontist. Big mistake! I had not appreciated the exemplar care we had received at Spencer Ortho until we had to struggle at the hands of another. At the end of the experience, the new ortho gave our son flimsy retainers that cracked in half in two nights. I called Dr Spencer and cried for help. I drove 1.5 hours to drop off my son's molds...Dr Spencer mailed the new retainers back and they are STURDY! Our sons all have their retainers from Dr Spencer. Our oldest has had his retainers, which he wears every night, for ten years!!! The quality of product, result, and care are unbeatable at Spencer Orthodontics!!

They did a great job straightening my daughter's teeth. Everyone is highly qualified and professional there. We never had to wait to be seen and when any issues happened with the braces they were always very prompt with getting back to us.

Dr. Spencer and his staff are hands down amazing! The most friendly and uplifting office I've experienced. Every question I had about my case was answered thoroughly and my input was valued by all staff. I'm a dental hygienist so please trust me when I say that Dr Spencer is top notch in his field!

Had my braces done as a teeenager, left with a permanent retainer in... it broke twice. Each time being charge to fix it, on top of that it's not keeping my teeth inlinement anyways so now they want to charge for a re-treatment. ...

Doctor Spencer and staff are the best. They did mine and my husbands braces and now treating one of our daughters. The special part is they can still remember when I was pregnant with her and seeing her after she was born and now she is a patient. They are very friendly and take time to get to know you and your family.
