I attended Western Washington University, where I earned my Bachelor of Science in zoology. I went on to attend Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston, where I graduated with my Doctorate of Dental Medicine.
I am dedicated to continuing my education to make sure that I am as uptodate with the latest advances in dentistry as possible.I strive to keep abreast of new techniques, procedures, and materials as they become available. I am currently training to treat sleep apnea more effectivelyin my patients.I am a certified ClearCorrect dental provider and a member of the American Dental Association (ADA), Washington State Dental Association, and Pierce County Dental Association.
My wife, Dr. Anna Spencer, and I welcomed ourfirst child, Mila, in April 2016. Weare also the proud parents of two loving and crazycocker spaniels, Daisy and Porter! I grew up in Sumner, and I am so proud to be serving the communities that have supported me throughout the years.
When I am away from the practice, I enjoy hiking and being outdoors, exercising and staying healthy, working in the yard, and especially snow skiing.I am a music lover and have played the guitar most of my life. In my free time, I volunteer with the Medical Teams Internationals Mobile Dental clinics program.
I am originally from Raleigh, North Carolina, and attended the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, where I received my Bachelor of Science and certificate in dental hygiene. Ireceived my Doctorate of Dental Medicine from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston.
Having received a high-quality education, I like to focus my energy on providing a gentle approach to treatment so my patients feel more relaxed and excited about receiving dental care. I love helping patients improve and maintain their dental health, and I know that their self-esteem and overall physical health will greatly benefit from the care I provide.
I am currently involved with education courses in obstructive sleep apnea and how it affects our overall health. I want to help my patients with their overall full-body health and do whatever I can to help them live longer and healthier lives. Staying on top of current dental and medical advances is so imporant in order for me to provide my patients with the latest treatment options that are less invasive, longer lasting, and therapeutic to their overall well-being.
I am a member of the American Dental Association, the Washington State Dental Association, and the Pierce County Dental Association, and part of a local study group called Interdisciplinary Study Group Northwest in Puyallup. Over the years, I have been honored to receive recognition in my field by receiving the Quintessence Award for Academic Achievement in 2006, and a certificate of recognition for clinical excellence in implant restorations from the American Academy of Implant Dentistry.
I enjoy spending time with my husband, Dr. Dan Spencer, our daughter Mila and our two cocker spaniels, Daisy and Porter. I also like traveling, scuba diving, taking my dogs hiking, watching movies, and spending time with my family and friends. It will be Annelyse's friendly voice you hear when you call our Graham office. Shell help you schedule visits and will greet and check you in when you arrive. Annelyse will also verify your insurance benefits and update your records. When shes not working, Annelyse enjoys spending time with her family and her cats and she's an avid cook!
April will assist you with financial matters. She will help you understand your insurance estimate and what your responsibility is. Shell also walk you through financing options and secure pre-authorization for treatment. Outside of work, April is a huge sports fan. She also loves naps, watching movies, and walking her mini-schnauzer, Olive.
Kelly will help you during your visits to the Graham office by working chairside to assist the doctor, make sure you are comfortable during your visit as well as answer any questions that you may have. Kelly enjoys spending her free time with her husband Kyle and their four children. She enjoys hiking and going on adventures with her family and their golden retriver, Duke.
Lindas goal is to help you take control of your smiles health. She offers thorough, gentle cleanings, which focus on your unique dental issues. Linda will teach you the best way to keep your mouth clean and healthy. She loves seeing clean smiles at recall visits! During her time off, Linda enjoys being with her husband, four adult children, and two grandsons.
Andrea's gentle and caring personality is a hit with her patients as she takes the best possible care of their teeth, gums and overall health. Andrea will make sure that you are comfortable during your visit and will do a thorough job educating you about your dental needs and oral hygiene. In her spare time, Andrea enjoys spending time with her family and traveling with her fiance.

Left a voicemail to see about emergency appointments. No call was returned. I know this doesn't reflect the quality of the staff, but it's good to know. I guess make sure you keep calling until someone answers?

So, second time in. If I don't respond to email. That does not mean I have a appointment. Scheduling problem. Courteous but inefficient to maintain customer schedule. Also canceling back to back children appointments is more than frustrating. Weeks of Deconflicting wasted on your business. Good Day to you...

Was in the market for a dentist closer to my home for me and my little girl, who's going to need cleaning soon. I don't think I would recommend this place for new patients. They're probably great once you get established, but I tried for an entire year to make an appointment here, and just ran up against issue after issue. For the first cleaning in June, I had to reschedule, so I called 2 weeks in advance and was told they're next available appointment was in September. I understand, offices get busy, so I just scheduled for December and kept my 6-month cleaning with my previous dentist. I received a call last week asking me to call about my insurance. I work 12-hour night shifts, so usually by the time I'm awake and going, offices are closed. I remembered the morning of my appointment their message, but figured I would just take my insurance cards with me and it would be no big deal. Well, apparently it was a big deal. When I arrived, the very professional front desk staff informed me that I could either pay a $375 cash fee for a cleaning that day, or we could cancel my appointment because my insurance was maxed out. I informed them that I had a secondary insurance with my new job, but they said that it would have had to have been set up and verified beforehand. I've gone to a great many dental and doctor's appointments, as well as worked for several different medical offices, and I've never known one where you couldn't set up the information at the time of the appointment, especially when I had the cards in hand. A frustrating experience. I understand that it was partially my fault, but I'm an exhausted ICU nurse and I don't have time or energy to keep fighting for an appointment here.

I have never stuck around for a long time with a dentist because I have trust issues. Been coming here for 3 years and counting. I don't trust anyone else but Dr Spencer! I never have pain with the numbing application. I had so many issues with my teeth when I first came here and he has fixed all of them. I have no issues with my teeth since seeing him. The front office staff and the hygienist are all so friendly. I will never leave this place and I am so happy I have found my forever dental team

Dr. Spencer is a great dentist. I have been going here for years and now my mother also sees Dr. Spencer. I have had a terrible fear of dentists in the past and did not seek dental care on a regular basis as I should have. Dr. Spencer and his wonderful staff have helped ease my fears and concerns. I now have been regularly making it to all my appointments and cleanings. If you are looking for a great dentist, this is the place to go.
