Dr. Purcell continues to publish articles in peer-reviewed journals in the area of dental implants and is an editor for the 'International Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Implants,' the worlds foremost dental implant scientific journal and the official journal of the Academy of Osseointegration. Dr. Purcell teaches at The Ohio State University School of Dentistry and lectures nationally in the area of dental implants and dental prosthodontics. Dr. Purcell also runs Spectrum Dental Society, a continuing education AGD Certified study club dedicated to providing high-level education to area dentistsand has a lecture facility attached to and affiliated with Spectrum Dental & Prosthodontics.
Dr. Mizumoto is a graduate of the Advanced Prosthodontic Program at The Ohio State University. He has published numerous research manuscripts and was the 2019 recipient of the prestigious Tylman Research Award through the American Academy of Fixed Prosthodontics. Dr. Mizumoto has achieved board-certification and diplomate status through the American Board of Prosthodontics, an achievement that only 25% of all prosthodontists obtain, and is a Fellow in the American College of Prosthodontists. He is one of three board-certified prosthodontists in the entire state of Ohio who maintains a full-time, private practice. He is a member of the American Academy of Fixed Prosthodontics, the American College of Prosthodontists, American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the Spectrum Dental Society and the SFUMATO chapter of the Seattle Study Club. He currently serves as the Treasurer for the Boucher Prosthodontic Conference and is on the editorial board for the ACP Messenger. He has lectured locally, nationally, and internationally on various topics in Prosthodontics.
In 2007, he was accepted to the Advanced Prosthodontics program at The Ohio State University, where he received his Specialty Certificate and Masters of Science Degree. As a resident, he was awarded the prestigious Astra Tech IIS Award for his research in implant dentistry. Following his prosthodontic residency, Dr. Abdelhamed continued his training in the implant-prosthetic fellowship program at OSU. His passion for implant dentistry then led him to the University of Maryland where he completed a surgical implant fellowship. In 2013, he returned to Columbus and has been in private practice since. He was also appointed as a part time faculty member in the Ohio State University Advanced Prosthodontics Program.

First, 5 stars is good for the internet but I would give Dr. Mizumoto and all the staff at spectrum dental a billion stars from the sky. My situation was lengthy but well worth the wait! I wasn't able to look people in the eye anymore and I was eating unhealthy food because I couldn't chew anything hard or tough. Dr. Mizumoto designed a full set of prosthetic teeth for me and each visit I felt more welcomed, he and his staff are amazing! So kind, gentle and concerned for the well-being of there patients. While writing this, I'm tearing up just thinking of the endless possibilities of where my life can take me now. With the most beautiful smile and being able to eat health is a fantastic feeling!! To anyone who needs this kind of service done from 1 implant to several or all, I highly recommend Dr. Mizumoto!! and the staff at spectrum! They SAVED and changed my life! If you are truly looking for the very best, you must go and see Ryan Mizumoto and the folks at Spectrum. They are perfectionists- dedicated to making things 100% the very best they can be! I took my mother there for dental implants and it was literally the very best experience one could ask for! She says they feel like her very own teeth, they look perfect, and took years off her appearance! I've never written a public review before- but Dr. Mizumoto and Spectrum definitely earned it!

Dr Ryan M Mizumoto came highly recommended by my periodontal dentist here in Cincinnati, Ohio. My periodontist knew how much I had been through in the hands of a not so qualified dentist that had caused me pain, mental anguish, and an inability to chew properly for a period of 6 years. How I wish I had gone to Dr Ryan M Mizumoto from the start! It would have saved me years of agony. I was a very complicated case, and he was my last hope. His attention and compassion to my needs showed from day one, not only did he listen but also provided me with several options. I received outstanding service including gentle care. The staff was very friendly, respectful, caring, and courteous of my time as well. In my case having a keen eye for detail was important for me to function normally. He delivered beyond my expectations. Not only can I return to my going out in public to a restaurant and order my favorite foods, but I also love showing off my beautiful new Hollywood smile. Not once was I mislead and I will always be grateful to him for giving me back my dignity. It took several trips, and it was well worth the time. He has my highest respect and has gained a forever client. Trust me, I have seen many dentists in my lifetime this one is a keeper! You will not regret it. PS: Besides his professionalism and friendliness he also has a great sense of humor!

When I first came to Spectrum I was unable to obtain the care I needed in Michigan. I was reffered by a prior patient and when I met with the staff they were able to explain everything in detail from billing to the procedure and recovery process so I knew what to expect. Everything was done exactly as discussed and with an unexpected occurrence they handled it promptly and effectively! I now have a smile I am confident in and reflect the professionalism I require in my field of work. I have already referred several people and will continue to do so. I could not be more pleased with my experience at Spectrum Dental and Prosthodontics. Dr. Mizumoto and his team performed a total mouth restoration, a procedure which required 1+ years of treatment. Throughout the entire process I was always treated professionally and always left the office with fully functional temporary crowns and bridges, and I couldn't be more pleased with the final product! I live about 1000 miles away on the other side of the country and in spite of the distance, I still get on a plane to come here for my major dental work (prosthesis) because Dr. Ryan Mizumoto and team are worth it. Having been to countless dentists and specialists over the years (I lost count at about 20), I've found that it is rare in this profession for a practitioner to (1) not insist to do work that is unnecessary, (2) not do substantial work that is outside of their specialization, and (3) consistently do excellent work. These are the first three in a long list of reasons why I come here.

Dr. Percell goes above and beyond. I would recommend him highly. I am even considering going to him, even though he is out of network for my dental insurance. I paid out of pocket for him before. He and his staff are worth it.

This is a wonderful dental practice. Dr. Mizumoto & his staff are incredible. The entire experience could not have been better...everything was explained fully prior to treatment, appointments always started on time, staff members were happy and made me feel comfortable and welcome. Dr. Mizumoto even called me once after treatment to check on me! My veneers look beautiful, and I've gotten so many compliments. I loved everything about this experience and I'm so glad I chose this practice.

My wife and I would highly recommend Spectrum Dental. If your looking for a friendly and professional environment , this is it. Most of all, highly competent. Dr. Mizumoto and staff are the best. My wife started with them 2 1/2 years ago to do a complete dental repair. Dr.Mizumoto and staff were very compassionate and kind. She just finished and love's the result. She gets so many compliments saying how beautiful her teeth are. They took the time to make sure all was perfect, which is appreciated. We had spent years trying to find the right Dentist, (bad dental experiences) and I can tell you that Dr. Mizumoto was worth waiting for. If your looking for just a dental office, or something more extensive that only a prosthodontist is qualified for such as Dr. Mizumoto, I would highly recommend them...she's got her smile back!!

I was very embarrassed and self-conscious of my smile. My choice to go to Spectrum for an evaluation/treatment recommendation was one of the best decisions I ever made! While it was hard to bite the bullet & find out about the process, every step since then has been well explained, comfortable and professionally performed. From the initial extractions to the fitting & placement of the prosthetics - I couldn't be more pleased. Everyone here was very nice however I did not have a positive experience. I was recommended by my oral surgeons office because my fairly new dental implant was loose. They drilled though my crown to tighten it. A couple days later my filling fell out. Previously my instructions were I did not need to come back. When I came back they refilled the filling. Two more days it fell out again and since it was a Friday night I called after hours and Dr. Mohamed said he wasn't surprised because it was a temporary filling which was news to me.I was rescheduled the next week and once again was given a temporary plug and I felt like they thought I was a nuisance. The assistant said it's not like it will cause any pain because it was a prosthetic tooth. Yes but I don't like having food stuck in the big hole. I called again when it fell out again and they said they would get back to me to see if I needed a new crown. No one ever called so I went to a general dentist who filled the tooth and that was almost a month ago and I have had no problems with it. I think maybe they just wanted me to pay for a new crown. I will not be coming back.

Dr.Ryan Mizumoto has to be one of the very best prosthodontists in the world! We are most fortunate to have someone of his extraordinary talent here in central Ohio! His knowledge and expertise can only be exceeded by his remarkable patience, perseverance, and kindness! My case was very difficult and traumatic due to a childhood accident. To top it all off he brought a most talented ceramist, Ray Yon, on board to work side by side with him at Spectrum Dental. Together they persevered accepting nothing less than perfection in creating a beautiful smile for me. As I listened in my chair I could hear that same professional expertise and kindness being extended to everyone! I am so happy and so grateful!!!

When I first started my journey two years ago I had horrible teeth because partially of hereditary and hygiene issues. At forty years old I decided it was time. I got to have in my opinion the best in the business which is Ryan Mizumoto. He knows his stuff and is always accommodating. He set me up with a incredible smile which I love having. The ability to eat just about anything I want is also great. They helped me get my self esteem up and I smile alot now. I recommend everyone and anyone wanting the absolute best in prosthodontics to get in touch with Ryan. He will absolutely do his best with each and every patient. Also being where they are located and the hours, it is very convenient and easy to get to the location. Thank you Ryan!

Ever since my late twenties I was not able to afford good dental care. By my mid-thirties, all of my teeth were pulled, except for six on the bottom front. My mouth looked terrible. I felt terrible. I lost nearly a hundred pounds because I couldn't chew and was depressed all the time. I was not able to wear dentures comfortably anymore. My dad offered to help pay for implants & we were referred to Dr. Ryan Mizumoto. It was the BEST thing that could ever happen! Dr. Mizumoto is so knowledgeable about dentistry. Not only did he make me the perfect teeth, he was able to help me understand other questions about my oral concerns. Meeting him has been a huge blessing. I can eat & I have gained back all the weight I lost when I was not able. I am confident when I smile. Dr. Mizumoto and his assistant Ann, have always been so great, friendly and not judgemental. I appreciate them and the other staff. I have nothing but positive things to say. They CHANGED MY LIFE. Thank you!

I went through years of problems from an accident I was in where I suffered trauma to my face and mouth. I ended up having numerous dental implants after crowns and posts did not work. That took me on a 6 year journey of implants failing and attempts to try them again. It came to a point where my dentist and implant specialist could not figure out what to do, This is where Dr Mizumoto came into the picture. After 6 years of riding a dental roller coaster he came up with the solution in a matter of weeks!!! I was so pleased with everyone at the office, Every employee I had encounters with was wonderful! Dr. Ryan Mizumoto is the best! We had talked to 4 other prosthodontists but Dr. Mizumoto was way above everyone else. We knew that from the first 5 minutes we met him. So we drive almost 4 hours to get here. We wanted a professional and someone who loves his work and takes pride in what he does. Dr. Mizumoto is that man. The team who supports him is great - - they are all so caring and concerned about you and it is real and honest because they pick the best assistants to work here. Most of them have worked somewhere else and that tells you a lot. The front office staff is great too, they make it happen for Dr. Mizumoto and the other doctors here. Dr. Mizumoto is professional, caring, listens well, and responsive to your concerns. He is honest and does not try to get you to do something that does not make sense. I can only say that if you have any issues which involve teeth, implants, dentures, or other problems this man is a superior dentist who deserves 10 stars, not 5. He is "our dentist" now, even though it takes a full day of our time to see him. It's worth it to us. Thank you Ryan for what you did for me, salamat po.
