Growing up, James Speckman enjoyed working with his hands. Although he was initially drawn to becoming a carpenter, Jim had a family dentist that completed preventive orthodontics on him and influenced him to return to school to become a dentist himself.
He graduated from the University of Florida College of Dentistry in 1985. After briefly living in Rhode Island, Dr. Speckman and his wife moved to California in 1988 to open his own private practice. He continues to take about one hundred hours of continuing education each year and is a member of the following professional organizations:
You will probably notice Dr. Speckmans love for everything Gators he says that he bleeds orange and blue! Although he was born in New York, Dr. Speckman grew up between Ohio and Florida, where many of his family still lives. In his spare time, Dr. Speckman plays basketball 3 times a week. He also enjoys golfing, fishing and sailing.

Best dentist and dental office in the United States of America. Have been going there for 22 years. Excellent work. Never feel cheated. Dr. Speckman and staff have always treated us like family.

I've been going to Dr Speckman for probably more than 20 years. Besides him and his office staff being very professional, they also take the time to get to know you and are very friendly.

I have been seeing Dr. Speckman and his staff for the last year and a half and what I really like about them is the fact they can do most everything in house. From cleanings to implants. They always seem to be in a good mood and work well together. Thank you Dr Speckman and crew!

I had my first appt yesterday with Dr. Speckman's dental care office. It was great, (almost) painless, and very detailed. Both Megan and Dr. Speckman explained what they were doing through-out and everything went well.

If you're looking for a professional, honest dentist, Dr Speckman is the one to go to. I've been seeing him for 30 years and I love him and his office staff. During the coronavirus their safety protocols are exceptional. Once a month they have Saturday morning appointments . I drive from Simi Valley to Ventura because once you find a great dentist you don't want to give them up.

Dr. Speckman has been our dentist for years, and he is great. Friendly and takes the time to explain things. We highly recommend him, and his staff is very friendly and makes you feel comfortable. At the end of the day he calls you to see how you are doing and if you have any questions after a procedure, I've never had a dentist do that!

Dr. Speckman and his staff are great. We have been coming to him for years and have recommended him to several of our friends and family. They make you feel relaxed and do a great job. The hygenist has "angle hands"!

I had been in a ton of pain with an issue I was having with my gums. I called Dr. Speckman at 9am and he got me in at noon the same day. Dr. Speckman called me personally at 6:30pm just to see how I was doing, unbelievable. I've never had this experience with a dentist. Thank you Dr. Speckman and Staff!
