Dr. Betz and his assistant were amazing. I was a bit nervous, but Dr. Betz reassured me he would be done before realized and that he would take care of me. And boy was he right. He had numbed me up and extracted two wisdom teeth within 10 minutes, TOPS. The ladies at the front desk were also very nice. Overall great experience and a great team.

Dr Betz and his dental assistant were FANTASTIC! I have absolutely no complaints about either of them or the care I received. The front office staff however are very typical of medical and dental practices. The staff are told to do things and follow a certain way that is set forth by an administrator or the physician in charge of the practice. Instead of having staff with critical thinking skills and the ability to reason and problem solve, they mimic robots. I'm sure on a personal level these same staff members are great individuals but their skills with patients are often lacking. In my experiences and in my instance with this practice it is money and billing that are the issue. The staff are instructed to collect money or bill a certain way even when it isn't appropriate or makes it feel like a shakedown. My issue was minor and resolved itself at the time of this review and in no way reflects the excellent care I received. I sincerely hope someone takes notice of my review and attempts to remember how they wouldn't want to be treated when they are educating the front office staff...or any staff for that matter. The care of the patient and the administrative part of the patient experience should be similar. In my case it would have made a 4 star experience become a 5 star experience!

1st off. They absolutely don't believe in pain management. State of Michigan recommends Norco after oral surgery! Look it up. Didn't care if my 14 yr old daughter was in pain or not. 4 teeth pulled, $2800 AND they want their money up front. Fine, put it on a credit card after being told insurance will reimburse within 2-4weeks. 6 weeks later, 2 phone calls, and interest on the 2800! Found my check would be coming from a 3rd party. The whole concept of paying for insurance is so I don't have to deal with this. They have circumvented this and put all the risk and responsibility on the patient, insurance or not. On top of all that! They write the check to my 14 yr old daughter! Idiots! The whole experience was just bad business. Never going back

Highly recommend! My visit was very comforting and most importantly effective. I was having a difficult time expressing my feelings regarding how kind and concerned Dr. Jeffrey Mc Fadden was toward me. After reading his response to an unfavorable review, I feel convinced that this Dr. sincerely cares for his patients. (Such a classy apology)

Not recommended. Permanent numbness/paralysis as a result of procedure with no suggestions for remedy.

Specialized Surgeons is a great place to receive professional and courteous service. Dr. McFadden is the most kind and understanding surgeon. He understood my family member's fear of needles and pain. He is extremely patient and caring. I highly recommend Dr. McFadden especially for wisdom teeth removal.

Absolutely amazing experience, highly recommend. Had wisdom teeth extracted and the doctor & entire staff were so kind and professional. No pain or swelling afterwards, recovery was fast and easy. Many thanks for this wonderful experience. Do not hesitate to come here if dental work gives you anxiety.

Had my wisdom tooth pulled and this was the first time going to the dentist and not being in unbearable pain. I will recommend everyone I know to go here for their dentistry needs.

Dr McFadden and the nurses working on my wisdom teeth extraction were great. Very kind and helpful, answered my concerns, and when I had a complication when I got home they got me right back in and got me sorted again quickly and with compassion.

Very kind and considerate staff. Doctor/Surgeon was very thorough with his explanation of procedure, and I felt no pain. I would highly recommend these folks!

Update: Dr Betz called and apologized personally. Took almost 4 mths to get an appointment. Waited 1.5 hours in the car was told they didn't have my referral or my paperwork. I had called the day befor to make sure they had everything and they said they did. He was seen on July 14th after paying $200 for an x-rays was told the tooth could not be exposed it had traveled 2 spaces back that they would contact orthodontist to to see how to proceed. Saw orthodontist 2 weeks later Dr never contacted them, orthodontist recommended extracting tooth. I call to make that appointment and was told he has to 1st speak with orthodontist and they would call me next day. Called today was told someone will call me Wednesday. I am extremely upset my son goes back to school in 2 weeks. I am very disappointed and upset.

I've been here twice for for procedures in both times have been fantastic. The staff is friendly and informative and Dr Betz is a very relatable, down-to-earth guy.

I was very nervous going to my appointment. I recently started to have high blood pressure and panic attacks. Anyone with panic attacks knows that they feel trapped in places that they cannot leave quickly. They were wonderful when I explained what was going on. Took their time with me.

Hands down the best oral surgeons bad staff out there I have very high anxiety with dentists period and this office here is the best awesome great fantastic if I could give 100 stars I would thanks you so much

Dr. Betz was amazing with my wisdom teeth procedure and was super funny and nice, but when I called up crying because I was in so much pain and needed something more than the Ibuprofen they prescribed me, their staff told me I was "going to be in pain" and it took my mom and dad to convince them to prescribe me Norco.

My son had oral surgery today with Dr. McFadden, surgery went well. I received a follow-up call from the office inquiring about my son's status. I was told to bring him back, in route (I live 25-30) minutes away, I received 3-4 calls asking how far away I was. The last call I received was from Dr. McFadden himself, asking me to check and see how bad my son is bleeding, after I responded, he told me he had patients waiting for him at his Howell office. I offered to meet him there, he told instead to "hurry up," and he'd wait around a little longer. I DO NOT recommend coming here nor will I or my son ever set foot in his office. After this whole ordeal, one star would be too kind.

Dr. Betz was very nice and him and assistant Anna(I think it was Anna) were amazing. Made me very comfortable before having my upper wisdom teeth out. Would definitely recommend :)

My tooth broke off and I needed an emergency extraction to remove the roots from my jaw. The staff was really nice and professional, but it was a also a relaxing enviroment. If you get recommended to come here, you can feel confident your at a good place.

Most professional and helpful business I've ever been to. The entire staff are extremely knowledgeable. I felt like a VIP for each of my trips. Dr. McFadden was concise and professional for my entire stay with him. I can't recommend this place enough.
