Dr Holena and her staff are excellent! They are very relaxed and kind. Our anxious daughter is no longer anxious when going to the dentist. Thank you Special Care Smiles!

My 14 month old son had his first dental appointment and cleaning this past week and it went great! Dr. Holena took time to answer all of our questions and address any concerns that we had. I didn't feel like we were being rushed and she was thorough with her examination and description of his dental anatomy for his age. I am extremely pleased to have found a great dentist for our son!

If this woman offered me FREE dental services for a lifetime I'd say NEVER. This is supposed to be about knowing how to meet those with challenges in a special way. These are mentally disabled people. My son had an appointment but my daughter came home with Covid. I would never be so reckless and selfish as to go out in public knowing I could spread Covid and make someone sick or kill someone. We were in the process of getting new cell service so I didn't call. She didn't want to hear anything. She said she would not see my son because anyone who does a no show is banned from making an appointment. I tried to explain. It wasn't my son's fault. Why take it out on him?? Charge me a cancelation fee or whatever and move on with life. She said: "no lady your son is not coming here. You should've found a way. It sets the standard for what kind of patient you're gonna be." She was so nasty. and so mean spirited. Her tone and phone manner is from hell. My suggestion is, don't do it to yourself. Do NOT take a special needs person to this practice. She is too mean and impatient to work with special needs kids. Or adults. God only knows if she talked to me the way she did, God only knows what she says to her patients who don't know to come back and tell. She did me a favor. I am soooo glad that my son didn't have to experience her. Find another special needs dentist. She gives women in business, which I always try to patronize, a bad name.

We've waited for the appointment for the 6 weeks referred by pediatric dentist as the place where the root canal procedure can be done for the child. The front desk person was very welcoming and nice, but this is only positive thing I can say in my evaluation of the place and doctor. Our experience was not great least to say... For once, all we had is another evaluation and no plan for treatment but sending out us to Philadelphia like the only place where the root canal could be done with sedation specialist... We've been told that there is only one specialist for the whole state of PA who will do sedation and root canal and we might wait for awhile even to get that other appointment... I called the insurance provider to find out if that would be true that there is only one person would be serving procedure we need within our network... I got 7 pages of addresses of dental professionals who can do the work and I don't have to drive 45 min to them as I did to Dr. Holena. No, not happy with recommendations or the way we were treated. My child has shade of autism, and yes I felt the doctor has no patience or experience of dealing with him, even though he has very minor case. She went on saying that sometimes our wish to save a tooth is not the right decision... Well, let me say that I am deciding what is good and what is not for something which will affect my child's health for years to come. I didn't feel that we've been listened to, but experienced rather pushy attitude for the doctor's ways. No Dr. Holena you are not the one to decide. You didn't attend with proper attitude to us as your customer. You can say your recommendation but still respect our desire and show that in fact we are the one having last word over it, and not you. If you want to save your tooth this is not right place to go. If you have special needs child this is wrong place for you. Please look for another doctor...

Amazing experience from making appointment to being seen. Kindest and most friendliest staff, Latte was a huge hit with my 5-year-old son. My apprehensive son eased up and was comfortable and smiling by the end of his visit. Dr. Helene and staff were wonderful and highly recommended

Very condescending! This establishment should get evaluated by the state to make sure they are in accordance with everything and everyone in this office. To the naked eye it looks appealing, but some things are actually just falling apart. DO NOT GO HERE IF YOUR CHILD NEEDS INTENSIVE DENTAL CARE!! They lie about insurance, they DO NOT CARE if your child is in excruciating pain, they will schedule your child just to mearly "look" at them ...due to scheduling and vacations of course; you will never get back in for the actual work.. This facility is not a care facility at all... It's a money mill for lazy carefree employees.

My son was going there for a few months. He had an emergency and when I called I was told no openings until October. I took him to another dentist for the emergency. When I called them to tell them he had the problem fixed and would not be needing the oct appointment but eventually need appointment in the future for filling, I was told they won't see him again because we went elsewhere. It's ok. We found a great dentist that my son is comfortable with. 5 minutes away from my house. A win for both of us.

If I could give zero stars I would. These people are rude they refuse to see my child because of ONE missed appointment. We had an appointment for next Monday and because my child is visiting his dad we can't reschedule. I even told the person on the phone he probably couldn't make it due to the visitation with his Dad. Of course they dont care mind you the appointment is for next week and they want me to fill out an hour long questionnaire that I already filled out so if your'e thinking of going here u better be perfect they expect no less.

This place is so unprofessional. The receptionist at the front desk is crude. They treated my son horribly. No patience. Do not take your special needs children here. I drove over and hour and was not seen because I forgot my mask trying to get there from work with my special needs child. She told me that was not her problem. I will be reporting this business.

My son has been seeing this special dentist for a very long time. I wouldn't trade her for anybody. If you child needs a caring dentist and staff you get the perfection here.

The staff here is amazing, there wasn't much they could do for my little ones teeth because she's so young but they were extremely helpful they also had the cutest little helper named toffee that made my daughter smile as soon as she seen her 10/10 will definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a dentist for their toddler

My son use to be terrified going to the dentist and now he asks me "when am I going to the dentist?" He loves the staff there and make him feel safe and welcomed, he LOVES talking to the staff about everything. Definitely one of great children's dentist in the area.

I just want to thank Dr. Holena and the nurses and assistants that helped with my daughters fillings and sedation yesterday. My daughter is 5 and TERRIFIED of the dentist because of a bad experience elsewhere. I was a nervous wreck and they all took the time to help me feel comfortable and explain things to me, even her breathing on the monitor. They also treated my daughter with the BEST care, and I appreciate that immensely. You want your kids to get treated with the care that you, as a parent, would provide them, and they all did just that. I'll never take her to a different dentist.

Wonderful dentist that is patient. She works well with my son who is severely autistic and nonverbal. I have been taking him to her for years and will continue because she takes the time to listen.

The entire staff here (receptionist, hygienist, dentist...everyone we came in contact with really) was amazing. We had a negative experience at a previous dental office and our 4 year old was in pain, combined and with having new dental insurance issues, we were super stressed. Dr. Holena got us in for an emergency consult, was so informative and happy to answer all of our questions in depth, and was amazing with our nervous 4 year (and his Mom!). Hands down the best dental experience we've ever had in this area. We are super grateful & wish we could give more than 5 stars, they deserve it!

My three children have been with Dr.Holena for 13 year+. They absolutely live her and her staff. My daughters love Rachel. She currently has an appointment at their old building and she told me she won't go unless it's Rachel. That's how much she loved the crew.
