Dr. Jocelyn P. Spaulding is a caring, skilled, and trusted cosmetic and family dentist providing comprehensive care for patients throughout the Decatur, GA region. At her practice, Dr. Spaulding uses state-of-the-art technology and innovative techniques to offer patients a wide variety of treatments, including dental cleanings and checkups, teeth whitening, veneers, crowns, dentures, Invisalign orthodontics, and a complete array of cosmetic and restorative dentistry procedures.
Dr. Spaulding is a firm believer in educating patients on how to keep their teeth and gums as healthy as possible. She wants all of her patients to feel welcomed and fully understand what is happening during their visit. After earning her dental degree (DMD) as well as a masters degree in education from the University of Pennsylvania, she completed externships at the University of Washington in Seattle, Mount Sinai Hospital in Manhattan and the Universitt Witten/Herdecke in Germany, as well as an internship and residency at the New York Hospital Medical Center, an affiliate of Weill Cornell Medical College. She maintains professional affiliations with the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the Georgia Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD).
Dr. Spaulding has loved watching her practice grow. She puts her full heart into her work, and this is what sets her apart from other dentist. Dr. Spauldings priorities in life are her faith, family, and friends. She strongly believes in maintaining a healthy lifestyle through exercise and diet. She enjoys playing with her dogs and spending time with her husband and children.
In January 2019, Georgia native Vanieca joined Dr. Spauldings team and loves every aspect of dentistry. She has over two decades of combined experience in administrative and clinical work. Vanieca attended Dental Boot Kamp, the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies, and is a member of the Georgia Dental Office Managers Association. She loves to find ways to help people smile, which includes building confidence in their oral health.
Born and raised in Georgia, Danielle received her Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene in 2013. Shes extremely passionate about dental health and loves keeping up with all the latest products and procedures to provide better care for her patients. Danielle is committed to continuing her dental education to make your dental hygiene treatment as comfortable as possible.
Danielle spends time with her patients to educate and encourage them to maintain good periodontal health. When shes away from work, Danielle enjoys spending time with her loved ones. She also loves the warm, sunny outdoors and taking her dog out for a ride in her Jeep with the doors and top off.
In 2015, Kevin obtained his Bachelor of Science at Emory University with a major in biology and a minor in religion. He has a wide range of medical knowledge, including working as a cancer research lab technician and medical assistant. Kevin has worked closely with Dr. Spaulding since 2015. The two have developed what some patients call an almost telepathic connection, and together, they offer patients a harmonious and relaxing experience.
Kevins goal is to make sure that everyone who comes in feels comfortable and at ease, leaving with a smile. Outside of the office, Kevin is a professional dancer, choreographer, and aspiring actor. He has appeared in several movies and national television commercials.
Ellisa joined Spaulding Dentistry as a front office assistant in the fall of 2021. She is a north Georgia native who has over 13 years of medical and dental experience. Her favorite thing about being in dentistry are the patients that come in with a desire to have a beautiful healthy smile and being a part of an amazing team to help that dream come true.
April 2020 Gabee graduated from Atlanta Dental Assistant School. After traveling abroad to Eswatini, formerly known as Swaziland, and working with her family dentist, Gabee found a real passion for restorative dentistry. Providing care to those who are in need of it most, allowed Gabee to use her background in education to teach native Swazis about oral health and hygiene. Gabee graduated with a TEFL certificate from TEFL Academy in 2019 and an ECCE certificate for Early Childhood Care and Education from Chattahoochee tech in 2014. She taught English as a second language in China and south eastern Turkey and is still using those skills today to educate the patients that are part of Dr. Spauldings practice. Furthermore, Gabee graduated from Kennesaw State University with her Bachelors of Arts in Dance with a concentration in Jazz technique and worked as a professional dancer and teacher for many years.
Gabees favorite restorative treatment is Root Canal Therapy. After working with multiple endodontists in the Atlanta area, she has grown to love assisting with the treatment as well as teaching patients that Root Canal Therapy is a way to save the teeth as opposed to extracting them.
Ive been working in dentistry for almost 13 years. I began my career as a dental assistant helping dentists with fillings, crowns, implants, and other cosmetic/surgical procedures. I wanted to expand my knowledge of Dentistry so I pursued and received my Bachelor of Science Degree in Dental Hygiene from Clayton State University in 2013. I also have a Bachelor of Science Degree in Health Education from Georgia College & State University. Ive been a practicing dental hygienist for almost 10 years and have practiced in Georgia and New Jersey.
What I love about dentistry is helping patients achieve a smile they want and feel good about. Educating patients on their oral health is a strong suit of mine and I enjoy staying up to date with all the newest techniques and products that will help patients achieve optimal dental health. Im also very conscientious of patients with dental anxiety and can help them feel comfortable in my chair. I am so happy I found Dr. Spauldings team because I know patients are receiving the utmost care here.
In my free time I enjoy working out, focusing on my overall health, and spending time with family, friends and my two year old chihuahua, Jack. Im also an avid traveler, foodie, museum goer and enjoy listening to all types of podcasts.

Thanks so much to Dr. Spaulding and Gabby! I had 3 cavity fillings today and they were super patient with me as I needed extra numbing and made me feel super comfortable. Highly recommend

Every single time I go there they make me feel like family. I was having the worst pain and sooo many dentist offices couldn't make the time but Spaulding Dentistry got me in there NEXT DAY. The front desk workers are so nice and kind, the dental assistants are super knowledgeable and caring (thanks Gabby) and Dr Spaulding is the best of the best. They always make sure they explain what the problem is and give as many solutions as possible. Have never had an experience like that at any other dentist's office and will be going back ALWAYS.

Dr. Spaulding is the absolute best. She's so sweet, professional, and thorough. Her attention to detail is impeccable. I love Gabee, one of her dental hygienists. That's my girl. My son and I have been patients for about a decade and even though we moved further away, we will always travel back to Dr. Spaulding for our dental care.

Never would have thought going to the dentist would be one of the best parts of my week!! Dr. Spaulding and Gabbee are Awesome at their job. I had to get a crown placed and was a little anxious.My blood pressure was out of control, but Gabbee was so patient and kind and helped me to calm down so we didn't have to reschedule. She has a natural gift of being a comforter . Dr. Spauling is so kind, genuinely nice and professional at the same time . She explained everything and put me at ease as well. Everything went well, no pain and my "tooth" looks Great, my kids even said so. They couldn't tell the difference. No pain at all. She did everything that same day in house .Venita was also very friendly and kind at checkout. A totally positive experience from beginning to end!!

She and her team have redefined person centered care and have truly gone above and beyond with ensuring patient safety during COVID-19. This dentistry practice establishes a new gold standard for dental treatment, where something as mundane (or horrifying for some) as a dental cleaning can be a fun spa night! I am so glad to be a patient here and even happier that I have the amazing dental hygienist Stephanie, who keeps me laughing and makes every appointment fun!! I will keep referring all my friends to this amazing practice! Thank you all for making me smile!

As a result of seeing her and Dr. Spaulding over the past several years, I have made changes to improve my oral health. My most recent cleaning really impressed upon me how patient, efficient, and thorough Danielle is in her work. It went by quickly but I left feeling as though I had a brand new smile! Dr. Spaulding has an excellent team overall (Vanieca, Kevin...) that works together to provide a positive experience and great patient care.

Amazing! Went in an anxious mess, left totally relieved. Everyone I interacted with was so sweet and kind. Jocelyn was amazing and let me know everything I needed to know, and answered any question I had no matter what. I felt extremely comfortable, safe and almost like I was home hahaha. Dr. Spaulding and her staff take EXTRA precaution to protect themselves and their patients during the pandemic. You're required to sanitize, wear a mask and shoe covers before being seated in the exam chair. All tools are sterilized and the staff is fully covered. You're fully taken care of during your visit, the office is definitely germ free. I highly recommend Dr. Spaulding, you're in good hands.

Dr. Spaulding and Family were fantastic! I really appreciated the fact that Dr. Spaulding and her hygienist Danielle didn't just rush me through like other practices that I have been to in the past. They were very thorough and took the time to really clean my teeth and then explain to me what may or may not need to be fixed and what I could do to prevent possible future areas of concern. Overall, everyone was very friendly and it was a great experience. Needless to say, I have found my new Dentist!
