Dr. Kinzer has been practicing as a dentist in Gig Harbor since 2000. She earned her graduate degree at the University of Washington Dental School. She carries a deep commitment to advancing her clinical skills and techniques as a dentist and advancing the education of her staff and patients. In addition to her working with the Spear Institute in Scottsdale, Arizona and the Pankey Institute for Advanced Dental Education in Biscayne, Florida, her training also includes hands-on coursework at the Newport Coast Oral Facial Institute.
Dr. Kinzer is a Charter Member of the Academy of Microscope Enhanced Dentistry (AMED). This international organization founded in 2002, is committed to serving the dental profession and the public it serves as a source of scientific evidence-based information on micro-dentistry and is a resource for the support and education of microscope dentists. In addition, Dr. Kinzer served on the Pierce County Dental Board of Directors from 2006-2009, the Board for the AMED from 2008-2010 as well as the Chief Editor of the AMED Vision Newsletter.
On a personal note, Dr. Kinzer spent most of her childhood in Alaska. She moved to the Northwest in 1993 and completed her Bachelors of Science in Biology at Pacific Lutheran University. She has twin daughters, Meghan and Elle, and a son, Jan Michael who goes by the alias 'Dutch'. Most of her spare time is enjoyed with family. She takes pleasure in cooking, reading, running, skiing, and traveling. She is incredibly thankful and proud to be part of the professional dental community in Gig Harbor.

I took my kids and I to the Spaulding Dental Co. for routine teeth cleaning and exam. Everyone was polite, well knowledgeable, and kind. The entire experience was as pleasant as could be for a dental visit. My wife and I asked if they accepted our insurance while booking the appointments, and they said yes. On the day of the visit, before I left, I asked once again if insurance was okay and if anything else was needed of us. Like before, we were told that everything was fine. This visit was supposed to be covered by our insurance and was told that it was. Wife and I received notice that we had an $1100 bill to pay since they only partially accepted our insurance. Skipping the finer details, this could have been avoided. This was an expensive mistake that we asked repeatedly about in order to prevent it. $1100 is not a small amount of money nowadays. We are respectfully upset with it. My family and I will not be returning to the Spaulding Dental Co.

Spaulding Dental Co. is amazing! Everyone is so friendly and welcoming. Going to the dentist can seem intimidating and not enjoyable, but this place is the exact opposite. Even getting a cavity filled isn't so bad! I definitely recommend.

I have gone to this dentist for years and have always had such a wonderful experience. Everyone working there is kind, attentive, and takes their time to ensure that everything is just right. I would recommend them to anyone!

Dr. Hansen and her team have treated my dental care with exceptional thoroughness, detail and professionalism. From making my appointments, paying on my account and keeping my overall health in check each and every time, this office team is the pick from me. Clean, organized and personable. I always feel right at home and never worry about how my money is being spent for such great service. A+ for detail and client care.

After several hurried shots of novocaine dr Hansen administered... drilling painfully in between each dose .. she skillessly didn't know how much time required to wait. It caused me PTSD and I avoided the dentist for ten years. I eventually got to dr appointment and shinn kids dentist is great and takes all insurance. I had 8 cavities. My moms implant was infected and they ripped off the roof of her mouth so that she could get everything to stop infection. It's crazy poor dental. The receptionist said that a implant would be great for her because she personally had it done at the reccomend dentist. Later admitted shes never had Dental problems or implants. They are hurried over charging crummy dentist. Go dr Elton very goo staff. 5 star treatment.

I have been coming to Dr Jill for dental care since she first arrived in Gig Harbor in 2000. I have moved from Gig Harbor to Olympia and Seattle, but I have always made the trips back to Jill for every cleaning and repair. Over the last three years she has worked with me as I suffered through two years of braces (yuk) and was rewarded with her magic recreation of six front teeth into a pretty smile that I didn't think was possible. Jill is calm, kind, professional and talented and her team is incredible! Every one of them does their job so well and are always so helpful. Wendie gets a shout out for being Jill's best extra hands and sidekick. Kristi is the best hygienist ever. Am I gushing? You bet. When was the last time you felt this good about your dentist?

My children and I see Dr. Hansen for our dental care and could not be happier. Dr. Hansen and her staff are great with my young children. They are kind and gentle and my children never complain when they have to go to the dentist. My son especially loves the hidden treasure chest. We have never waited very long to get into our appointment and we are always greeted with a beautiful smile.
