Digital X-rays offer a huge advantage in early detection and preventive services. Advanced image manipulation and analysis, for example, allows your doctor to detect early stages of gum disease through recognition of bone level changes, or by evaluating the results against a previous treatment.
An intraoral camera is an indispensable diagnostic and educational tool. The tiny video camera moves around inside of your mouth and generates a tooth by tooth video exam of your teeth. Using an intraoral camera allows patients to better understand their dental needs by seeing what the dentist sees and then having it explained.
Lasers are a non-surgical approach to arresting the progression of periodontal disease. Following scaling and root planing, a laser is used to significantly reduce the bacterial colonies and decontaminate the infected periodontal pocket. Lasers also remove the infected tissue lining the periodontal pocket. As the infected tissue is removed, microscopic blood clots form and your body's natural healing response takes over. As you heal, the tissue reattaches to the bone and your gums return to a healthy infection-free state.
Cone Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT) is an advanced, proven technology that provides more precise three-dimensional (3D) imaging for more accurate diagnosis and treatment of oral health conditions. 3D dental X-rays can uncover issues that may not be detectable with 2D X-rays. By making images easier to see, its helpful in gaining a better understanding of oral health conditions and suggested treatment.

Excellent experience. As a new patient, I needed an emergency crown that had broken and Dr. McEvoy took the time to explain everything along the way. Everything went well and they have all of the modern equipment. I would highly recommend them.

The technology was very modern. Staff was very nice. It was weird for me to have 3 different staff work on my teeth, as my prior dentist did it all. I saw a dentist, dental hygienist and I think the 3rd was an assistant who did the polishing. The assistant was a bit rough not sure if she was in a hurry but she hit the side of my mouth twice and I have been a bit sore.

This office is nothing but great! I developed a severe toothache and they were able to get me in immediately. Dr. McEvoy is so pleasant and very gentle. Her compassionate bedside manner made my dental experience an overall joy. The ladies at the front desk are very welcoming and the dental assistants were always attentive during my visit. Mary the hygienist was so informative on my oral health and was also very gentle. They were able to get me and my son in on the same day. They did all the work needed for my son right then and there no extra appointments needed. And got me scheduled for my crown replacement next week which they do in house.

Everyone I met at Sparks Modern Dentistry was a pleasure to interact with. Lots of happy greetings, smiles and information and I had a 7:00 a.m. appointment (before tea)! Dr. McEvoy, both hygienists and the front office staff were all very knowledgeable and made sure to answer any questions I had. See you next week and then six months later for my follow-up. I need to be pre-medicated with amoxicillin before any dental work. Here it is standard procedure. It was like pulling teeth at my previous dentist's office, no pun intended! Thank you all.

Both dentist and dental assistant were thorough and detailed in their explanation of care. Spent about 2.5 hours there for crown placement, cleaning, irrigation and fluoride, but left with all care completed. Would definitely recommend.
