Baltimore Countys Family Dentist, Dr. Anthony Narlis of Sparks Dentistry believes people should be the focus of any dental professionals life. He understands that you have individual needs that are unique. By taking the time to listen to you and answer your questions, Dr. Narlis is able to keep you informed of all aspects of your procedure. Of course, not everyone has extensive knowledge about dental procedures thats why Dr. Narlis explains everything in a way that is easy to understand. By keeping his patients informed and always treating them with kindness and respect, Dr. Narlis is able to provide patients with a comfortable experience and excellent results.
Anthony Narlis received his undergraduate degree from Loyola College and his dental degree from the University of Maryland Dental School. During his dental education, Dr. Narlis completed an additional clerkship in restorative dentistry. This experience helped develop his skills in complex restorative procedures and implant treatment. At graduation he was awarded the Gamma Pi Delta Prosthodontic Honor Society certificate of excellence for having demonstrated exceptional ability in fixed and removable prosthodontics. Dr. Narlis also received the Alexander H. Paterson Memorial Award for excellence in complete denture prosthodontics. Following graduation he completed a residency in Advanced General Dentistry at Maryland Dental School. At the completion of his residency in 2004, Dr. Narlis was awarded the Harry W.F. Dressel, Jr. award, given to the resident who demonstrates the greatest clinical proficiency. After working as an associate for a few years, Dr. Narlis started his own practice in 2006. He has been a fellow of the International College of Oral Implantologists since 2004, indicating proficiency in implant restorative and surgical procedures. The practice continues to grow due to his strong personal commitment to his patients and clinical excellence.
Johanna Narlis received her undergraduate degree from University of Miami and her dental degree from the University of Maryland Dental School. While in dental school, she completed a clerkship in oral medicine. Dr. Johanna received the Organization of Teachers of Oral Diagnosis Certificate of Merit in recognition of excellence and promise in oral diagnosis. She was also the one in her class to receive the Harry E. Latchman Award, a recognition of excellence in complete operative restoration. Dr. Johanna completed a year-long residency in hospital general dentistry at the VA Hospital Dental Clinic in Baltimore. Dr. Johanna then worked as an associate dentist in Catonsville for several years while raising her two young children. She joined her husbands practice in 2009.
Carol is a 2010 graduate of Harrisburg Area Community College Dental Hygiene Program. She is licensed to practice dental hygiene in Maryland and Pennsylvania and is also certified in dental radiology and the administration of local anesthesia. Carol joined our dental team in June of 2012. She has two handsome grown boys Ryan and Matt and her baby girl Rainey- the families Labradoodle. In her spare time, Carol loves to train to be a ninja warrior.
After graduating with a Biology degree at Towson University, Brittany went on to pursue the Dental Hygiene Program at the University of Maryland School of Dentistry. Brittany is licensed to practice in Maryland with certifications in nitrous oxide, local anesthesia and dental radiology. Brittany is engaged and has a lovable cat named Frosty. In her free time, she enjoys exercising, being outdoors and watching movies.
After graduating in 2002 from Medix Training School in Towson, MD, she began assisting at another dental office in Baltimore County, Md. She joined Dr. Narlis Team when he first opened this office in 2006. She has over 15 years experience in Assisting, and holds her certification in Dental Radiology. Kelli tames lions in her spare time, and loves to refurbish furniture.

The folks at sparks dentistry are caring, cheerful, thorough, offer excellent customer cervix and a surprisingly easy check in and check out process. I have a great deal of anxiety regarding the dentist, and the providers are very empathetic and accomadating. They really go the extra mile with their care!

Entered promptly at 9 seated in dentist chair by 9:05. Two cavities drilled and filled without numbing and without pain. Out by 9:25. Very positive experience

My family has been going here for a year and we couldn't be happier! The staff are friendly and excellent at their work! They explained things for us and made us feel at home. Scheduling was easy and we barely waited when we arrived. Our 3 year old had his first ever visits the dentist and despite being a little worried about it, he had a great time. They have sunglasses for kids to wear when they are in the chair and cool kids dentist tools to play with. He even says it tickled to get his teeth cleaned and he loves the tooth brushes they gave him. He has been very faithfully brushing and flossing ever since. My husband and I both had cavities to fill and he had wisdom teeth removed. We both found the procedures less painful than expected. Thank you to team Narlis!

I have been going to Sparks dentistry in the past 12 years. I had been very happy with their service. But recently something happened, Dr. Anthony used to be great but he messed up my two teethe wry badly. I had two teeth that I had no issue with them and he recommends to take care of them and get crowns before they need too channel. I make the story short, I end up doing the root channel one of teething one week after the permeate crown and my second tooth is still not right after 3 visits. I suffered pain for days. Both teeth look awful and bad and I still can't eat anything with them. Dr. Anthony needs to slow down and try to take off his patients one at the time. He is trying to see more patient and be quick and not been careful. Unfortunately, I am not going back there and I don't recommend it to anybody. I recommended several of my friends and family to Dr. Anthony and when I shared my story, they kind of agreed with me and my assessment. I hope this review Help and Dr. Another goes back to his great days as I am very confident he is a great dentist.
