I am Dr. Sahar Mehr, general and cosmetic dentist. I started my career since 2005 and joined South bay community in 2020. I am genuinely grateful for the opportunity of providing dental care to beloved people of Torrance and South bay.
After receiving my DDS degree from USC school of dentistry, one of the most well-known dental schools in country, I have devoted my life to excel at my job and to provide high quality dental care for my patients. Being passionate about dentistry, I continuously do researches and attend in continuing education courses to keep myself updated with recent technologies and data in dental field; as a result, I have published several articles in peer reviewed journals.
I understand that many patients remember their previous dental care with stress and tension, I am totally familiar with these feeling when my patients are sitting in dental chair for the first time; Hence my focus is on comforting them, earning their trust and providing a stress-free atmosphere in our office. As a private practice owner and practitioner, I highly value the doctor-patient relationship and try my best to address their concerns.
One of my favorite aspects of dentistry is smile make over. Making a natural looking smile comes with deep attention to details; I love the stories behind each smile, which guides me to give them their own version of smile and the confidence they deserve.
Before coming to US, he was faculty member at Shiraz university of medical science as esthetic facial surgeon and researcher and his articles are published in prestigious journals of surgery like American Journal of Oral & Maxillofacial surgery. After coming to US, He earned his DDS degree from University of Southern California and now he is practicing dentistry with focus on scientific based solutions for oral dental esthetic defects and diseases. His 20 years of experience enables him to perform innovative procedures, dental implants, bone grafts, and to achieve predictable treatment results from delicate and fragile tissues of oral cavity.
Dr. Reza believes, trust, respect, and honesty in relationship of patient and doctor are the most important parts of the treatment and his goal is to develop professional, and long-lasting relationship with patients.
Dr Reza enjoys spending time with his family, and his hobbies include music, Astrophysics, and volleyball. He is always prepared to improve himself and learn through traveling and seeing new people and places.

I am so thankful to Dr Reza Mehr. He is very knowledgeable dentist with outstanding skills. Everything went smooth. Office staff are also very efficient and friendly. I called on a Saturday and was seen the same day. I would recommend Dr Reza to everyone and I am so happy that I found this practice.

I went in for teeth whitening and Dr Reza and Sahar did a fantastic job as they were very calculated and precise with the procedure. The receptionist Kellen was also very kind. :)

This has been one of my best dental experiences. I have another great dentist that I normally use but needed a periodontist for to help me surgically remove a mucocyst I developed after biting my lip. I went to another office initially and had the worst experience. They tried to sell me on a bunch of stuff I didn't need, the office looked like a dungeon and the staff was really apathetic. Visiting Sparkle was a STARK contrast in the best way! They were all very warm, their office was beautiful and the doctor was very personable and informative. I felt very well taken care of and they accommodated me so much that they were able to have the surgery the same day as my first appointment! I would highly recommend them!!

Sparkle family dentistry is by far the best Dentist I've been to. They are very professional and their customer service is top tier. They are very good with working with someone who has a very busy schedule like myself and the staff is very knowledgeable. I will be back very soon.

I can not begin to say what a wonderful dentist Dr. Sahar is and what an incredible team she has. From the second I stepped foot into this office I was treated like family. My teeth were a mess, short incisors and chipped teeth and damage close to the tooth's nerve where crowns were very much needed. My teeth did not work well with a career where I smile for a living. Dr. Sahar walked me through the whole process of what my smile needed and the route to take to get what I've been dreaming of my whole life. She made it effortless and pain free, four crowns later and Invisalign on the way, I've never been more excited to smile and to think my smile is only going to improve 6 months from now after my Invisalign treatment is over. I can't stop smiling, I'm just so impressed by the talent she has. If you are reading this review in debate for choosing a dentist please trust me, this is the place to go. Thank you so much Dr. Sahar, from the bottom of my heart, you've made a huge impact on my life and I'll forever be grateful!

From the very first moment that I entered the waiting room, I felt the positive vibe of that office. Actually, I didn't feel like being at a dental office at all. It was clean, with nice helpful staff, and calming atmosphere. My friend recommended Sparkle to me and as she was extremely satisfied with it, I expected to receive high quality services. This place is by far the best dentist office I've been to !! The Staff and Doctors are so kind helpful an do their best to give you quality service while ensuring your needs are met! I got my X-rays , cleaning and 4 fillings done here and each time have felt comfortable and over the moon with gratitude and satisfaction for my service! I'll definitely be returning here for all my dental needs as it has just been a wonderful experience in every way! I was able to share this place with my family as well and they have expressed their pleasure with all the services they've received ! My daughter hated going to the dentist she actually refused and has so many cavities. Until one day she had pain I brought her to Sparkle Family Dental Dr. Sahar and she is no longer afraid of the dentist because they did such a good job on her it was painless she said and now she refuses to go to any other dentist. Since the first day we consulted with Dr. Mehr it's been amazing. She has done all the work up we have acquired and more! She listens to all of our concerns and works closely with me to make sure we get the work done. My daughter loves her Invisalign and the process has been fast and efficient! I highly recommend this dentist's office! Everyone's super nice and will graciously answer all of your (my) incessant questions about the farmer's market down the street! Turns out that yes, they DO sell cara cara oranges this time of year! All kidding aside, though, everyone is super friendly here, from the receptionist, to the dental assistants, to the dentists themselves (a very nice married couple who run the office together), and there's a nice, relaxed vibe about the place. I've been here thrice so far, and all three times, I've felt like I was in excellent, very capable and competent hands. Dr. Mehr and her husband know their stuff and clearly care about giving their patients the best possible dental work. She did a FANTASTIC job on a tricky crown involving one of my back molars, and today had to be one of the most comfortable dental cleanings I've ever had! Furthermore, they're GREAT about working with your insurance, annual maximums, etc., and they're refreshingly honest! They'll discuss all your treatment options neutrally with pros and cons, rather than try to push the most expensive procedure on you like some other dentists out there. Dr. Mehr ended up recommending one of the cheaper crown material options to me for my situation, due to its balance of strength and aesthetics. All-in-all, after a great first experience here, I'm happy to call them my new dentist's office! If you're looking for an awesome new dentist, give 'em a go! You won't regret it! An added bonus: they play epic movie scores while you get your teeth worked on. I enjoyed getting my temporary crown fashioned to the tune of Kill Bill and Game of Thrones! I'VE NEVER FELT SO PUMPED TO GET MAJOR DENTAL WORK DONE!!!

Sparkle Family Dentist is awesome. We were looking for a good place to get our teeth looked at and we ended up choosing them. And we are so happy with service down to the actual work. My whole family ended up starting their treatment here. Monica and Lucy are always so kind. And both doctor Mehr's are clear with you on what is needed and what the price will be. If you're looking for a place with great service that isn't just looking to start working on you right away like other places this is where you need to be.
