Dr. James Tankersley is originally from Greenville, South Carolina and he obtained his dental license from the Medicaid University of South Carolina. When Dr. Tankersley was younger, he was inspired to be a pediatric dentist because of his own dentist. He wanted to make the same impact for kiddos.
Dr. Tankersley has been practice dentistry for 2 years and is excited to be a part of Sparkle City Dental. His mission is to provide the best care to his patients. When he is not working, Dr. Tankersley enjoys golfing, fishing and hiking.
My mission in healthcare is to provide my patients with the best dental care possible and enrich the lives of my team members by helping them to be their very best. I also find it both personally and professionally satisfying to help educate my patients on the benefits of properly maintained oral health. Coming from a middle-class background, I understand how dental care often takes a backseat to the many responsibilities of everyday life. I am dedicated to correcting the lack of public information about the connection between oral health and overall health.
In my work, I have learned how important empathy is for a dentist. Empathizing with my patients helps me embark on a journey based on trust and building interpersonal relationships. Empathy aids in understanding my patients ideologies, inhibitions, and interests so I can provide them with truly exceptional treatment. Seeing the gleam of satisfaction in my patients eyes continually drives me to improve my skills and expertise in the field of dentistry.

I was very pleased with the new staff at sparkle city!!! Everyone there was very polite and treated my son and I with lots of concern and respect! They also made it a point to let me know exactly what was going on in a way that I could understand it completely

I had to call around and I had spoke to five or maybe six different dentists for kids and nobody could make an appointment for anytime soon but when I went on sparkle city's website I was able to make an appointment online for 2 days coming up and we went in they were professional they were nice neither one of the kids cried so that was a plus and we will be going back and I will be taking my other grandkids there the people are nice the place is clean and it was not packed which is a plus

Aug 31,2022.Over All service is great, calm, patience with my son. First time going, No- cavities Yyyyea! The receptionist are Wonderful, it's just the phones break up when am having conversation, not sure if is my Carrier (Cricket Wireless) isn't compatible for their service. You All Keep Up The Great Work, appreciate everything you do!

Not happy with this place! I love an hour away I chose sparkle city dental to get braces for my child and it has not been a good experience yet..drove all the way down here on the first appointment and they tell me "oh our orthodontist isn't here but certain days so we will have to re-schedule" totally fine but why didn't you tell me that when I called to make the "ortho" appointment. We re-schedule. Drive all the way down for the second appointment and guess what "our orthodontist switched his days so we have to re-schedule" again totally fine but WHY DIDNT YOU CALL?!?!? Two wasted trips and we have got NOWHERE on my child's braces! I will NOT be back! They need to get it together! I understand understaffing and things change...but that's why we have cell phones..LET SOMEONE KNOW! COMMUNICATION IS THE KEY TO EVERYTHING!!!!!!!!!! Very disappointed!

Don't take your kids or yourself to this dental practice have gone down hill as of recent. Doctor there is always out sick. That's a lie play hookey is better like it. The ladies at front desk are no better they be up there laughing and giggling at everybody. Like who u think u are better than the people who come in and out of facility. Welll u not.

The staff was friendly and they kept my granddaughters anxiety calm. I never had that experience with her dentist before. She has been going to the dentist since she was 3. This was her first time at Sparkle City and she was happy when we left.

If I could rate the office a zero I would!!! The patients( which are kids) are views as numbers at Sparkle City dental. My child's crown fell off, I called their office for 3 days during different times..NEVER got through to speak to anybody!! I went to the office to schedule the appointment, I received one for next week, okay fine. We get there they do the normal..dentist comes in and says crown needs to be replaced...BUT I do not have time to do it today. Okay, we go up front to schedule..SORRY that dentist's last day is Thursday (going to ASPEN dental) and we do not have a dentist until mid 2022 to fix it! So we are referring patient's under 8 to a dentist is DUNCAN, but you should to call them because we don't have a timeframe!! Manager training in Florence. So disappointed with such poor service...stay away!!
