Digital X-rays offer a huge advantage in early detection and preventive services. Advanced image manipulation and analysis, for example, allows your doctor to detect early stages of gum disease through recognition of bone level changes, or by evaluating the results against a previous treatment.
An intraoral camera is an indispensable diagnostic and educational tool. The tiny video camera moves around inside of your mouth and generates a tooth by tooth video exam of your teeth. Using an intraoral camera allows patients to better understand their dental needs by seeing what the dentist sees and then having it explained.
Lasers are a non-surgical approach to arresting the progression of periodontal disease. Following scaling and root planing, a laser is used to significantly reduce the bacterial colonies and decontaminate the infected periodontal pocket. Lasers also remove the infected tissue lining the periodontal pocket. As the infected tissue is removed, microscopic blood clots form and your body's natural healing response takes over. As you heal, the tissue reattaches to the bone and your gums return to a healthy infection-free state.
Cone Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT) is an advanced, proven technology that provides more precise three-dimensional (3D) imaging for more accurate diagnosis and treatment of oral health conditions. 3D dental X-rays can uncover issues that may not be detectable with 2D X-rays. By making images easier to see, its helpful in gaining a better understanding of oral health conditions and suggested treatment.

My daughter had an appointment for 8am yesterday, 11-2-22. She drove in fm CA to be sure not to miss her appt because of bad WX. She arrived 15 mins early and door was locked til 8. When it opened others had to be checked in. Then her turn came & she was 2 minutes late and they said she was late and they had cancelled her appt. What a crock. I recommended them because I love Dr Peralta, then this. Office should manage to open beforehand as this office management is not as professional as I thought

This clinic has irresponsible staff. Today was my first appointment and I was told I didn't fill out the echeck-in so my appointment was cancelled. I was there on time and it just took 5 minutes to fill out the online form. but my appointment got cancelled and was told to reschedule. Essentially, the 3 important qualities of customer service are professionalism, patience, and a "people-first" attitude. they don't have any of these attitudes.

Showed up 15 before appt, asked to register on a website and fill out questionnaire. Website would not progress with continue button, but it doesn't matter, it's now 2 min past your appt, you won't be seen. Would you like to reschedule? No, thank you. Edit- They appear to have submitted a claim for x-ray and exam totaling $1,231 to insurance. I'm no lawyer, but I believe that's called fraud.

I really like the Modern Dentistry in Spanish Springs. I've been coming to this office for a few years now and Dr. Peralta is an understanding dentist that doesn't judge. He's gone out of his way to work with me. I will definetly keep coming back for further dental care.

I've been coming here for a few years. Staff is friendly and the dentists get you in and out. The one complaint I have occurred last year. Basically, my work switched my insurance. I went in for a cleaning. No one at SSMD told me my insurance was denied (because my work had switched providers). Instead of giving me a call or email to ask for my new insurance, I got a lovely note a few months later from a third party debt collector. I called my new insurance, had them contact SSMD, and the issue was resolved. This could have all been avoided if SSMD would have reached out to let me know there was an issue with the insurance they had on file.

Don't waste your time. I was 3 minutes late to my appointment. I drove all the way across town to get there. Upon arriving I was fed some excuse about being late, 15 minutes, etc. etc. Was told to reschedule. I did not reschedule. It appears this is going on quite often based upon the comments below. If they are treating their clients like this at the front I can't imagine what it's like in the back. Will never be back.
