Dr. Gina Spangler moved to Winston-Salem in 1996 to join Dr. Mark Meyer in caring for children in our community. She works at both our Winston-Salem and Kernersville office locations.A native of North Carolina, she and her husband wanted to find an area to welcome both dentists and to raise a family. Forsyth County seemed like the perfect place.

Dr. Gina is a Magna Cum Laude graduate from Furman University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry. She received her Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of North Carolina (UNC) - Chapel Hill.

Upon completion of a three-year residency program in Chapel Hill, Dr. Gina earned her certificate in pediatric dentistry and post-doctoral Masters of Science at UNC where she received extensive training in growth and development of children, adolescents, and special needs patients. She is board certified with the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. During the process of becoming a Diplomate of the Board, Dr. Gina earned the James Roche Award of Excellence for scoring in the top three percent of all the national candidates on the Pediatric Dental Board Exam.

Dr. Gina is active in the community and organized dentistry. She is a member of the North Carolina Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the Forsyth County Dental Society, the North Carolina Dental Society, the Southeastern Society of Pediatric Dentistry, and the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. She has served on the Board of Directors for the Southeastern Society of Pediatric Dentistry and the Community Partnership for Dental Health in Forsyth County. Dr. Gina is an adjunct assistant professor on the faculty at UNC-Chapel Hill. She really enjoys teaching dental students and residents.

Family is a very important part of Dr. Ginas life and it keeps her busy. She is married to Dr. Vic Spangler, who is also a dentist in Winston-Salem. They met in dental school and fell in love studying conservative operative dentistry! They have been blessed with three active children. Their son Hudson is third year dentalstudent atUNC-Chapel Hill. Avery recently graduated college from UNC-Chapel Hill and plans to apply to dental school, and their youngest, Sophie, attends Wake Forest University.

Dr. Gail Rohlfing has been taking care of children as a pediatric dentist since she and Dr. Gina finished the residency program together in Chapel Hill in 1996. She has worked part-time in the practice from 2002-2009. In December of 2009, Dr. Gail became a partner with Dr. Gina creating the new practice, Spangler and Rohlfing DDS, PLLC. Dr. Gail practices in both our Winston-Salem and Kernersville offices.

Dr. Gail graduated from the University of NebraskaCollege of Dentistry where she was inducted into Omicron Kappa Upsilon, a scholastic dental honorary. Upon completion of a three-year pediatric dentistry residency program at UNC-Chapel Hill, she earned her certificate in pediatric dentistry and post-doctoral Master of Science at UNC. Dr. Gail is a board-certified pediatric dentist with the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. As a Diplomate of the Board, she completed additional examinations in every area of pediatric dentistry, to ascertain her abilities for the highest quality of care for young patients.

Dr. Gail is also a leader in many dental organizations. She has previously served as President of the North Carolina Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. She is an active member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the Southeastern Society of Pediatric Dentistry, the North Carolina Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the American Dental Association, and the North Carolina Dental Association. She currently holds an adjunct assistant faculty position at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill School of Dentistry. Dr. Gail serves as a media spokesperson for the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. You may hear or see her as a pediatric dental expert on the local radio or television stations. Recently, Dr. Gail was certified as a Clifton Strengths Coach. She uses her coaching abilities to mentor pre-dental students through the dental school application process.

Dr. Gail and her husband Paul have two college agesons, Grant and Pierce. They live in Greensboro and enjoytraveling, following college football, and creative DIY home projects. Dr. Gail is an accomplished seamstress and uses her talents to make costumes for local theater productions.

Dr. Kate Lambert grew up in the Triangle and moved to her husbands hometown of Winston-Salem following residency. She loves everything about pediatric dentistry, especially building relationships with the patients and their families. It is a joy to be able to celebrateall the littlemilestones with her patients as they grow throughout their time in her care.

Dr. Kate graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with her Doctorate of Dental Surgery. She then attended the University of Florida-Shands Hospital for her residency and Certificate in Pediatric Dentistry.

During residency, Dr. Kate specialized in comprehensive pediatric dentistry, as well as infant oral health, working with children with special healthcare needs, and children with craniofacial anomalies. In her last year of residency, she was awarded the Mary J. Hauk Memorial Scholarship through the American Cleft Palate-Craniofacial Association. This competitive scholarship is awarded to one specialist a year in their field; Dr. Kate received it for her research and work within the team environment. She is board certified by and a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry.

Currently, Dr. Kate is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Dentistry/Department of Plastic Surgery and serves on the WFBMC Craniofacial Team. She is also an Adjunct Assistant Professor on the faculty at UNC-Chapel Hill and loves going back to UNC and spending time with the dental students.

Dr. Kate loves being part of and contributing to the wellness of the Triad area, participating in and supporting many community organizations. She currently serves on the Board of the Down Syndrome Association of Greater Winston Salem. She also works closely with the greater birthcommunity in the Triad area to provide team based care for infants and children with tongue-tie/lip-tie.

Dr. Kate is committed to continuing education and isan active member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, North Carolina Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, Forsyth County Dental Society, American Cleft Palate-Craniofacial Association, and American Laser Study Club.

When not seeing patients in our Winston-Salem and Kernersville offices, Dr. Kate is most often found with her husband Trey, their two young children, Ransome andFletcher Louise, and Harper, their dog. They enjoy trips to the mountains, time with family and friends, and activities with their church and community as well.

Dr. Kelly Lipp joined our practice in July, 2019 and is thrilled to be a member of the Spangler, Rohlfing & Lambert Pediatric Dentistry team. She practices at both the Winston-Salem and Kernersville office locations.

Dr. Kelly Lipp was raised in West Chester, PA and recently moved to Winston-Salem with her husband, who grew up in Hickory, NC. She attended The Pennsylvania State University for her Bachelor of Science and then the University of North Carolina School of Dentistry, where she was awarded her Doctorate of Dental Surgery. Dr. Kelly graduated at the top of her class with distinction in research.

Following dental school, Dr. Kelly attended Ohio State University College of Dentistry for her Master of Science and achieved her Certificate in Pediatric Dentistry at Nationwide Childrens Hospital. In residency, her masters thesis on pediatric dental comfort following treatment under general anesthesia was presented at the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry annual session. It won the Ralph E. MacDonald Award, an award given to the top research presentation at the conference. She is also certified in Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).

Dr. Kelly is Board Certifiedthrough the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. She is also a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, American Dental Association, North Carolina Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, North Carolina Dental Society, Southeastern Society of Pediatric Dentistry. She also serves as the program director for theForsyth Dental Society. Recently, Dr. Kelly's research on post-operative comfort following dental treatment under general anesthesia was published in the Journal of Anesthesia Progress.

Dr. Kelly and her husband, Dr. Blake Nelson, who is a general dentist, married in 2018. The couple enjoys time with her family in Wilmington and his in Hickory. They also love hiking with their Goldendoodle, Teddy, traveling, exploring local restaurants, and quality time with friends. Dr. Kelly has a bucket list goal of visiting all 61 National Parks. She and her husband were thrilled to bring their daughter, Ella Marie, home in March of 2021!

After being told at the ER that there was nothing they could do for my son 's visibly damaged teeth, Dr. Lipp met us at the office late on Saturday night.
