Dr. David Spainhower is a 1993 graduate of Creighton University, School of Dentistry. He began practicing dentistry in Layton, Utah where he married his wife, Sherry, of twenty-two years. He is the father of five wonderful sons. Dr. Spainhower believes that God and Family come first, and he exemplifies this in the way that he lives his life in the service of others.
Dr. Spainhower has dedicated his professional career to providing those in our community with the best possible care. He attends classes every year above and beyond what is required to better his skills and provide the best dentistry has to offer.
He has a passion for helping people with jaw pain, also called TMJD (Temporal Mandibular Joint Dysfunction) He developed a comfortable oral maxillary appliance or night guard called SmartGuard to help relieve those suffering with TMJ, nighttime grinding and clenching issues. He owns 4 patents on TMJ appliances used by other dentists that have helped over 300,000 people in 10 countries around the world with grinding and TMJ issues.
Dr. Spainhower finds joy in his practice. He is quoted saying, I love seeing my patients grow up into adulthood to start families of their own and continue every six months coming in for their cleanings and getting caught up with whats new. I consider my patients dear friends and family, and my staff feel the same way. I am so lucky to have the staff that I have working with me. I love working with them. They love helping our patients as do I.

Dr. Dave is the best! He is kind and personable and always does a great job. You can't find a better Dentist. He is very knowledgeable and does excellent work. Dr. Dave also has an amazing staff. They are fun and friendly. If you need a great Dentist look no further.

I came to doctor Spainhower to fix my bite and to relieve pain. Through his treatment and procedure plan we were able to fix my jaw to about 95% correctness without braces. My jaw feels amazing and I am touch all my teeth. Doctor Spainhower really cares about his patients and will try everything to help them get better. I definitely recommend Doctor Spainhower.

Going to the dentist is not my idea of a good time but the Spainhower team always makes our visits quick and painless. I especially appreciate the thoughtful hygienists and assistants who take extra care to make sure your cleanings are as comfortable and effective as possible. The education the Dr and hygienists have provided for at home care has also been invaluable in preventing future issues which we really appreciate.

I came to doctor Spainhower to get a new set of dentures. I had only been able to wear my uppers due to the fact that my bottoms wear very painful to wear. It had been 15 years since I had been able to fully chew any foods, and the worse was none of my family, friends, or myself saw my smile for that whole time. I was so happy to have this great set of teeth, and no pain, other than the normal breaking in pain, that Dr. Spainhower is the only dentist that I have ever hugged. I can say that if I ever have need of a dentist again, this is where I would go. And do not be afraid to talk to your dentist, and be honest. Dr. Spainhower is very understanding

Been going here since I was old enough to go to a dentist (very young tot). The staff is extremely friendly/professional and always do such a fantastic job. I honestly look forward to dental cleanings! Couldn't recommend more.

He recommended some work for my Wife then changed up the situation. We trusted his recommendations then he switched the script. Went to another Dr. now this doctor is process of the the dental work. He was our Dentist for about 8 years then he went sloppy on Our Family!

Love this place! As someone with a major soda addiction I'm no stranger to dental visits:( I drive 40 minutes to come here and pass dozens of Dentists along the way. A lot of knowledge in this building and a true master of his craft as well a being very professional, engaging, and timely. It's uncommon these days to see anybody take pride in their work but everyone in this building does!! I'm very happy to have been referred here :)

I've been with Dr. Dave since 2002. He (and his whole team) is amazing. He's fixed what others before him screwed up. I've had quite a bit of dental work done throughout the years and am happy with everything he's done. He's the BEST EVER at giving shots - you don't even feel the needle going in! I'll stay with him until he retires (hopefully not for a very long time!

Straight up no nonsense dentistry. WITH A TWIST. His staff is a HOOT. Never thought the dentist office would be soooo fun. BRENDA Haha has got your back in every situation. She's 10 steps ahead of your next question doesnt get any better then that!!!! No frills "let's get you in and get you fixed" super flexible with options. Lays it out heres what you need. Heres what we can do! No pressure. I've been to a few dentist getting options. Most giving me the most profitable option as my only option. Go see these guys you wont regret it!

David Spainhower and his staff are great! I had a toothache that was waking me up at night and they were able to see me first thing in the morning. I dont have dental insurance and they're willing to work with me. Very personable and friendly, i will definitely recommend Dr. Spainhower to everyone!
