First and foremost, I received an excellent cleaning including my implants that exceeded my expectations. I also had a great talk with the Dentist regarding my bite and what solutions exists that I will research a bit. The front desk made it easy to get an appointment and the Manager and I discussed how I can find out as a retiree, coverage that i can preview with her prior to selecting it that meets my needs. Finally all of the staff is very personable and professional!

I was nervous as this was my first dentist appointment after having my mouth unwired from an accident. They did an excellent job with the cleaning and took extra to calm my nerves. Great people to take care of your teeth.

I woke up with a swollen cheek and worried about a gum infection. I called Spa Dental in Ballston Spa and asked if they had an opening. Due to a last minute cancellation they were able to see me today! They were friendly, professional, patient with all of my questions and very calming. No need to look anymore - I have found my new dentist home :)

I have been a patient of Spa Dental for something close to 50 years. The dentists and dental hygienists there have always been excellent at what they do, pleasant to be around and helpful in maintaining my teeth.

I can't say enough good things about my experience at Spa Dental, specifically thanks to my hygienist, Kelsey. I had recently been to another dental office, where I had one of the most painful cleanings in my life. I had never been anxious about going to the dentist before that experience, but I was understandably nervous about seeing a new hygienist. Kelsey knew this going in, thanks to the great communication from members of the front office, and she was extremely gentle, and I still left feeling like my teeth were squeaky clean. Kelsey is so friendly, knowledgeable, and made me feel relaxed instantly. I am actually looking forward to my next cleaning!

I switched to Spa Dental because my dentist was no longer taking my insurance. First visit, a few things needed to be done--a crown on a molar filling was apparently needed because it was a "large filling" so I let them prep the tooth for a crown (a tooth that was not hurting at the time). After the crown prep, I had pain and soreness that grew worse. Sensitive to hot and cold and hurt to chew even soft foods. This was April 6 that I had the crown prep. I waited a couple of weeks thinking I was just being picky and the pain would subside. It did not and when I was tired of pain, I contacted them over the weekend. I had seen them that Thursday and they thought I could get in for an evaluation from an Endodontist so we didn't do antibiotics at the time--but I was having to take Advil/Tylenol all day and night. The after hours dentist was great and called me in an antibiotic. The antibiotic didn't help. I went to my Endodontist appt (took a couple of weeks to get in) and they said I needed a root canal because the crown prep was close to the nerve. I went in for the the root canal and still had pain a couple days later. I gave it another day and the gum was swollen and inflamed. When I saw the Endodontist and got the root canal, he said I was just really inflamed and there was no infection. I assumed this was why the antibiotic hadn't helped. I figured I would go to spa dental (my dentist who prepped the crown) and ask them since they did the initial crown prep and they're just right down the street from me. I was told to keep taking otc meds. I asked, since the tissue was inflamed, if a steroid might help. She went to ask the dentist and came back and said "She's not going to call you in pain meds or anything." WHAT?! Pain meds would be the last thing I want because it wouldn't fix the problem and I have trouble with nausea. It went from me mentioning a steroid to me feeling like I'm just looking for a drug fix. I'm a 50 year old woman who plants native pollinator gardens, pays my bills, and also goes scrambling for my party pills? They could see the swelling around the tooth so I was just in disbelief. They said I would need to contact the Endodontist for medication. I felt like I was just a stranger off the street even though I'm a patient at Spa Dental. So, if you only need routine cleanings, they're great. But if they "fix" something and cause a problem where you need help, you're out of luck at Spa Dental. I think it's just all about money honestly. They find things to "fix" like a dirty mechanic.

Great staff at the front desk, they are very organized and pleasant. The dentist and hygienist that I saw yesterday were both very knowledgeable and confident in their work. I've come to expect this from them after several years of getting great care here. Also, wait time is very minimal.

Brooke is a great hygienist and Dr Burns really knows her stuff. Always on time, too. I really appreciate their perseverance in providing the service during the pandemic.
