SVCHS consists of a group of non-profit Community Healthcare Centers,Migrant Health Network, Integrative Behavioral Healthcare Program, Substance Abuse Recovery ProgramandSouthwest Virginia Regional Dental Center. SVCHS was established to improve access tohealthcare services by providing comprehensive, patient centered care to the communities we serve.

SVCHS is a member of the Virginia Community Healthcare Association and is a Joint Commission accredited institution. SVCHS is governed by a community board and our clinics are not-for-profit Community Health Centers.
There are almost 3,500 similar centers nationwide, with 65 serving Virginia. SVCHS is a fee-for-service practice just like any other doctors office. To assist the center in providing access to medical, behavioral health, and dental care to all residents regardless of income, SVCHS receives an annual grant from the U.S. Public Health Service.

SVCHS recieves HHS funding and has federal Public Health Service deemed status with respect to certain health and health-related claims, including medical malpractice claims, for itself, and its covered individuals.
The Board of Directors shall be the governing authority of SVHCS, Inc. The composition of the members will reasonably represent the individuals served by the organization in terms of factors such as ethnicity, race, sex, age and economic status.
(a) To serve as a primary resource in all health facility education activities relating to rendering care to the sick and injured, or to the promotion of health, that in the opinion of the Board of Directors may be justified by the facilities, personnel, funds and other requirements that are, or can be made available.
(g) Reviewing financial management practices including accountability of CHCs resources, approving the annual project and operating budget, establishing strategic organizational priorities, setting eligibility for services including criteria for partial payment schedules and providing long range financial planning.

The BDS Coordinator works closely with the executive team by developing & analyzing data to monitor the infrastructure, systems, and develop processes to sustain purpose driven strategies and operational initiatives; monitors & analyzes trends; partners with IT to collect data and formulate reports; partners with compliance & quality; analyzes revenue/cost, operations, and forecasts data in partner with CFO. Looking for a candidate with good organizational skills and leadership experience, understanding of grants management and treasury management, a Bachelors degree or equivalent experience with a background in Finance. Searching for an FNP to work in our remarkable New Day Recovery program, located in Saltville, to provide patients with addiction recovery treatment. Occasional travel to other sites as needed. The Dentist and the staff were very friendly and very good. They got me in close to my appointment and made me feel comfortable during my procedure and the Dentist and his assistant fixed my teeth and got me out pretty quick. I was very happy with what was done.

I love it. Dr Roberts is great! Some of my procedures have been tough to sit through but Dr Roberts and his staff help me bear it by reminding me that it is helping me. A little discomfort is better than a whole lot of pain like it used to be.

I was seen today by Dr. Roberts. I really like him and his bed side manor. I felt comfortable with him and his nurse was so sweet. I will continue my Dental appointments and would highly recommend them. And they made me feel safe and that's important these Days.

Being put off by a dentist's office for over a month, (she cancelled on ME at one point!) only to FINALLY be seen and have her REFUSE to do anything for my teeth!....Well, THAT says alot about SOMEONE! I've been in HORRIBLE pain for over a month now! Constant tylenol mixes with ibu's just to dull it. Many other otc meds to put on my gums for pain relief, and she wouldn't even consider touching my teeth! Said I needed to see a specialist (not in my ins. network, btw!) and have them decide what to do! What ever happened to: IT'S MY MOUTH, MY CHOICE, SO FIX IT!!!!! This field of medical help is getting WORSE by the minute! Wasted Trip, Wasted time, and MORE importantly: Wasted MONEY!

extremely bad toothache which has given me severe headaches and ear aches. Would not do ANYTHING Did nothing to help. Wanted to get bottoms teeth pulled and they just pawned that off on the next dentist too. there wasn't any reason they couldn't have atleast done that AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL STILL IN EXTREME PAIN. AND THEY DIDNT SEEM TO CARE AT ALL!!! WOULD NOT WILL N9T EVER RECOMMEND AT ALL!!! AND WILL NOT EVER GO BACK AWFUL LEARN TO CARE OR DONT WORK IN PUBLIC SERVICE. I wouldn't give them 1 star but I have too

I haven't been to the dentist in quite awhile for a cleaning and honestly was expecting to be told I would need several teeth removed. I am over the moon excited because my teeth are actually in great shape. The dental hygienist was very informative as she explained each process she was doing. I look forward to my next visit. 10/10 very friendly staff and very clean facilities.
