SouthWest Dental's office staff is all smiles. We are very proud of our competent dental staff. The majority of the staff are registered dental assistants with coronal polishing certificates. SouthWest Dental's staff is very knowledgeable in all facets of your dental care and are our best resource for our patients' needs.
Dr. Grisha Ovanesian is a long-time Los Angeleno who moved to Cathedral City in 2009 to pursue his private practice as a general and cosmetic dentist. After completing his bachelor's degree in dental hygiene from University of Southern California (USC), Dr. Ovanesian participated in a six month post graduate program as a clinical instructor in the USC Periodontology Department. He then went on to attain his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from Indiana University, where he graduated in the top 15 in his class with scholarships for his outstanding clinical achievements. Since graduating from IU, Dr. Ovanesian has gained professional experience by working for private practices and receiving invaluable practical training from highly decorated mentors.
Among his colleagues and patients, Dr. Ovanesian is respected for his integrity, honesty, and sense of accountability for his patients' health and aesthetic needs. He is known as the doctor who takes the time to educate his patients about the necessary treatments, keeping them fully informed to make wise decisions for their oral health.
Dr. Ovanesian provides each and every patient with clear instructions for pre- and post-operative care, because he knows that this can help alleviate anxiety about dental treatment. Patients also appreciate the comfort and convenience of his in-house laboratory, which allows him to pay close attention to crowns, dentures, and removable partials dentures, and make any necessary corrections promptly--usually in the very same visit!

Best. Dentist. Ever.!!! Dr. Ovanesian has such a great manner and always has the time to answer questions and offer options. And his staff, from reception to dental assistants, are very professional. There is just such a great atmosphere in this office. What a lucky find!

After seeing that this dentist office had the best reviews online, I decided to go in and see what needed to be done. Eveveryone is very knowledgeable, friendly, and very easy to work with. I'm confident in smile again and wouldn't recommend going anywhere buy here.

Dr Ovanesian is an amazing dentist. From the moment I sat down, to when I left, he and his staff took wonderful care of me. My schedule wasn't easy to work with but I was able to get in very quickly and for multiple visits. You really won't find a better dentist anywhere.

I needed a new dentist down south and I tried out their value pack coupon. I think this is an awesome dentist! He is so very gentle and patient, he is even nice. I've now seen him 3 times and I am happy! Also, he is very handsome, even with a face mask! All of the staff are also friendly! I was even pretty happy with the price...I am giving Southwest Dental 5 Stars!

I have been going to Southwest Dental for about ten years. Dr. Ovanisian has done fillings, caps and an extraction (of a wisdom tooth!) for me. His work is excellent. He takes the time to make sure it is right. His staff has changed over time, but the assistants all seem to have good skills and be knowledgeable. They are also friendly. The office staff is also great to work with. They know how to keep the place well-organized. I have never had to wait beyond my appointment time. In the rare instances when I have had a problem, I was able to get an appointment fairly rapidly. I highly recommend this dental practice. You will be given an honest assessment of your dental needs. You do not need to fear that you are being talked into unnecessary dental work.

I don't post reviews very often. But I have to say these people are so kind, they're not judge mental I am in the middle of a very intense dental procedures. And they are so kind and caring it's overwhelming and the work is amazing from the doctor all the way down. I couldn't ask for better people or better care. If you need any dental care cleaning anything this would be my first call Southwest dental gets five thumbs up for sure.

I have had the most amazing service from Dr. O and his staff! If you are looking for an outstanding dentist look no further! I cannot say enough about them! Carolyn is amazing in keeping me on schedule and the girls in the back are absolutely fantastic! Give them a try, you won't be sorry!
