Dr. Nguyen discovered her passion for dentistry came when she was young. While shadowing at a dental office, she realized this profession was the perfect way for her to help people and create smiles and laughter. During her student years, Jessica participated in multiple volunteering events because she truly enjoys making a positive impact on peoples lives and inspiring others to become leaders.
She has been invited to guest lecture at North Hennepin Community College and the University of Minnesota in order to share her educational journey with undergraduate pre-medical and pre-dental students. Dr. Nguyen was also an executive board member of the Student Academy of General Dentistry, an active member of the Pre- Dental Club, and a Student Ambassador at the University of Minnesota-School of Dentistry. She enjoys volunteering with The Minnesota Mission of Mercy and Familias de Esperanza, an organization that supports dental mission trips to help underserved communities in Guatemala.
In her free time, Dr. Nguyen enjoys watching movies and exploring new restaurants with her family and friends. Her hobbies include singing, swimming, and playing basketball, badminton, and volleyball.
More than anything, Dr. Nguyen tries to follow Platos advice to, Be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle.' Accordingly, she welcomes any opportunity to treat others with kindness, to make them laugh, and to help them smile when they are sad.

My daughter went in with tooth pain and ended up having a root canal on the spot. There was a lot of decay and it took about three hours. They were so gentle and patient with her. Very concerned that she not feel pain during the process. She left in good spirits and is ready for her next appointment. She felt very comfortable with the dentist and hygienist. We have found our new dentist office! Thank you for making an uncomfortable situation as comfortable as it can be!

Friendly, professional and fast. Tooth extraction took less then one hour in and out after taking the time to make sure I couldn't feel any pain during the removal. Would recommend 5/5 stars

Very friendly staff! Dr. Hoss is the best dentist ever. He extracted my tooth in minutes. Absolutely no pain afterwards or the next day. Well worth a 20 min drive.

I had a broken and infected tooth and was in unbearable pain. I called at 11 am and was in by 3 pm same day and I was even a new patient!! I had been told by other dentist's that I needed a root canal and crown which I made absolutely clear I could not afford. They refufed to extract it and left me in pain. Dr H listened and understood and made no attempt to up sell me like so many dentist's will do. He is a very kind and compassionate man and I am so thankful! The entire staff went above and beyond and were so kind and helpful! I will be recommending them to my entire family! Thank you for making a very rough week so much better!

My daughter had a cavity that started to ache, so we booked a 7am appt. The next day and the sis a filling and life was good. Very helpful staff and great place. Highly recommend Southwest Dental

I had been pretty much going to the same dentist most of my life. I am 67 years old. One year when I did not have dental coverage, I checked out Southwest dental office! I changed immediately. They were all so warm and welcoming, professional, personable, educated and knowledgeable. They took x-rays, they explained everything, in detail to me, even giving me my dental options, for work to be done. I was so very impressed with all of the up-to-date technology, latest machines and panoramic X-ray equipment etc. I Would highly recommend anyone to go to Southwest dental. They are like family! They truly care about you. I've been going there now for three years and so does my husband. My adult son is going to start going to them as well.

Had a wonderful experience with Southwest Dental, they make you feel so comfortable from the start, making an appointment, they explained everything very thoroughly so there's no surprises when it comes to your bill. If you don't have dental insurance they have a very reasonable financing services available. I will definitely be going back.

Very friendly staff and my appointment was right on time. The dentist was very gentle and walked me through her procedure. I love my new look as she fixed my front tooth with a veneer and matched the color perfectly.

I saw Dr. Abdullahi for my recare hygiene appointment today. I have had sharp front teeth in a long time and I asked her to round it out because it was cutting my tongue - she didn't have to do it today, but she took the time to grab the instruments, rounded my teeth out, and when I felt that it was fine she rounded the teeth even more. I appreciate how much you cared and treated my concerns as a person. The best dentist I have ever had - gentle, caring, and listened to my concern! Thank you, Dr. Abdullahi!

Honestly pretty upsetting experience. I bring my whole family in for a cleaning. It's our first time at this dentist and I expect them to take a couple x-rays, normal procedure. They ran multiple tests, anything the insurance would pay for. Fine. Make your money. It comes time for me to get a cleaning, the hygienist proceeds to tell me "I don't qualify for a normal cleaning", "I need this special cleaning that is $100 out of pocket cost". What?!! I honestly have great dental hygiene. I am there for my 6 month cleaning. A basic visit. I've now been at this office for 2 hours, tell them all I've wanted is a normal cleaning this whole time. The dentist had even come in and checked me out telling me everything looked fine. A little gum swelling and they want to change out one of my old fillings, but that was it. Overall I wasted my time as they would not give me the cleaning covered by my insurance!!!! I've never once had a dentist do this. I've learned over years to be wary of dentist as they will make stuff up to make a buck. But I spent 2 hours there and didn't even leave with a basic cleaning!!

Dr. Nguyen is fabulous. We were able to continue my Invisalign care virtually for five months. Her attention to detail and flexibility made this work. I could not be happier!
