Dr. Tranby grew up in the small town of Erskine, Minnesota. His family moved to Moorhead in 1966, where he attended Oak Grove Lutheran High School and Concordia College. Dr. Tranby received his dental degree from the University of Minnesota in 1978, and after graduation moved back to Moorhead where he has practiced dentistry for his whole career.
Dr. Tranby is past president of the Clay County Dental Society and FM Dental Seminars. He has a great staff and really enjoys his dental practice and his patients. He has a special interest in Cosmetic Dentistry and Oral Reconstruction including restoration of implants.
Dr. Tranby and his wife, Sharon live in Moorhead where they raised three children; Jon, Kelli, and Steve. His hobbies include golf, tennis, downhill skiing, and spending time at Middle Cormorant Lake.
Val grew up in Ashley, ND and earned her degree from NDSU. She has been on Dr. Tranby 's team for 29 years since moving to the Moorhead area. Val is a true 'hockey mom.' She and her husband have two college age children. In her free time, she enjoys going to hockey games and spending time at the lake.
Renee earned her Dental Assisting degree from M State and has been in dentistry for more than 35 years. She has been on Dr. Tranby's team for 17 years and she says she loves the opportunity she has to develop relationships with and care for their patients. Renee and her husband live in rural Glyndon, MN. They have two grown children and five grandsons. In their free time, they enjoy going to their grandsons' games and activities and spending time at the lake.
Kayla grew up in Edmore, ND and now lives in Fargo with her husband and two young children, Jaxson and Paislee. She earned her Dental Hygiene degree from NDSCS, North Dakota State College of Science, and has been caring for patients for more than 11 years. She enjoys the opportunity to help patients learn how to optimize their oral health.
Kenadi grew up in Maddock, North Dakota and now lives in South Fargo. She earned her Dental Hygiene degree from NDSCS in Wahpeton in May, 2018 and started working in our office 2 months later in July. Kenadi loves helping patients with their oral health and seeing them smile.
From routine dental exams, dental X-rays, dental cleanings, filling cavities, and minor dental surgery to more advanced procedures such as teeth whitening, dental implants, crowns, and other cosmetic and restorative dental procedures.
In addition to dental cleaning and checkups, we offer cosmetic dentistry services such as porcelain veneers, porcelain inlays, dental bonding, tooth contouring and reshaping, caps, teeth whitening, dental bridges and tooth-colored fillings.

I've been seeing Dr Tranby for 30 years and their service is spectacular. Very personable and they do great work. I'd highly recommend doing to Dr Tranby. Kayla, Renee and Val are superstars as well!!

Southview Dental Care is the finest dental facility in the metro area. The staff is friendly and committed to providing the highest quality of care.
