Dr. Matthew Nelson has been a top Cosmetic and General Dentist for nearly 15 years. He is the 5th person in his family to go to dental school and he likes to say he was to born to be a dentist.Originally from Seattle, Washington, Dr. Nelson finished his undergraduate work at the University of Washington early in 3 years and attended dental school at Virginia Commonwealth University.

My most favorite part of working in dentistry is being there to help patients work through their dental fears so they can get the dental treatment they need to have a healthier and better quality of life. Whether it be from just holding their hand if they are scared, or just listening to them and letting them be heard. Good health starts with the mouth.

Honestly the best experience I've ever had at a dentist, or actually even any medical appointment to be honest. The staff is beyond friendly and take the time to get to know who you are. They make every effort to make you feel comfortable, welcome, and accommodate you in any way they can. It has been over 8 years since my last dentist appointment, so I was a bit nervous, to say the least. Southtown Dental put me at ease, which is normally not an easy thing to do. If you are looking for a dentist, look no further.

Very clean with hi-tech equipment. The chair even had a massage function! I don't think I've met friendlier staff - so incredibly nice! I got a tour of the office and was introduced to several staff members. The hygienist made sure to explain what she was doing before starting any X-rays or cleaning, etc. The visit took some time overall but that's bc I was a new patient who required X-rays. And honestly the conversation was so pleasant and authentic, we had to keep pausing to chat They made me feel welcome and like they really cared about me beyond my teeth cleaning. Highly recommend!

Southtown dental is the best of the best. I've been seeing them for quite awhile and I just love them all. Dr Nelson is great, my hygienist has been Lisa now for awhile and she's wonderful, she always has good suggestions for my dental health. My advice. Come here. What are you waiting for?

Such a great place! Here on temporary assignment in the area for a few months and came in for a 2nd opinion. The staff were all very welcoming and kind. Brenda and Dr. Nelson listened carefully to my concerns and gave me a full examination, including X-rays but waiving the cost since I also brought in previous records. Dr. Nelson's recommended treatment plan was a good $3000 less than what was suggested from my previous Dr. I was able to use Care credit and started my treatment plan the next day. The massaging chairs and noise cancelling Beats headphones made it more like a trip to a spa than a dental procedure. Wish I could take this whole office and staff back to Denver with me!
