Is it time for your childs first checkup? Its a good idea to get them in early rather than wait. The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD) recommends that parents take children to a pediatric dentist by their first birthday. Doing so ensures the best possible oral health for your child.

If youre a resident of Draper and are looking for a caring and professional pediatric dentist, dont hesitate to give Southridge Pediatric Dentistry a look. Well take excellent care of your little ones dental needs.

Some parents dont worry too much about decay in their childs baby teeth. After all, primary teeth will eventually be replaced by permanent teeth, they reason. The problem, however, is that decay in baby teeth could mean a higher risk of decay in the permanent teeth. And if the cavities become severe, they can pose safety risks and harm the overall health of the child. Additionally, severely decayed primary teeth can lead to nutritional deficiencies if a child cannot eat properly.

Here at Southridge Pediatric Dentistry, we place great importance on taking care of childrens teeth from the moment they erupt. In fact, we subscribe to the American Dental Associations recommendation that the first dental visit of a child must take place within six months after their first baby tooth comes in. Plus, taking your young kids on regular trips to the dentist will help instill in them the importance of proper oral hygieneand this will likely lead to a lifetime of good dental health.

Led by board-certified pediatric dentists, our practice provides dental X-rays and oral evaluations to monitor the teeth and jaw development of your child and to check the teeth for any signs of cavities and other potential oral problems. We also provide pediatric fluoride and sealant treatment to lower the risk of tooth decay.

We provide tooth decay removal, white fillings, and other dental services that will restore your childs oral health as early as now. Our dentists will also offer tips and advice to help you encourage your child to observe healthy dental care habits. This, in turn, will help to prevent dental caries, which will lessen the need for restorative dental services in the future.

With over two decades of pediatric experience, our team is warm and insightful towards any special needs your kid may have. If your child cant calm down for a procedure, for instance, we will offer sedation and other relaxation techniques. We also provide hospital dentistry for patients that require medical care while having a dental procedure.

My toddler had a first visit to the dentist today and everyone was very nice to her. My daughter was nervous but I was probably even more nervous. That kindness is so appreciated and makes me feel comfortable to return again knowing that my daughter had a good experience while she was there today. Thank you for taking care of us!

This place is awesome the littles. The girl was so patient with my daughter (she cried from start to finish) tried to make her feel at ease, and the other girl was so kind to my son and kept praising how great he was. The doctor is informative, quick and kind. The front desk ladies are so quick with insurance and getting you in for your next visit. Love this pediatric dentist!

My toddler was scared to have a tooth extracted and the sedation was adding to her reaction. The dental assistant and dentist were very unsympathetic and impatient-- with the dental assistant even boarder-line yelling at her to stop crying. At the assistant told my daughter she couldn't have a prize unless she stopped crying. Would not recommend taking your toddlers here.

We have been seeing Dr Roth for 20 years now, and will continue for the foreseeable future. My son has Down Syndrome, and Dr Roth is sooo good with special needs. He'll keep seeing special needs when they're older than 19, so I don't have to look for another dentist for my son to get used to. My son totally trusts him, and looks forward to seeing the "pretty girls" in his office. Mom

We had an amazing experience with Dr. Roth & the staff here at Southridge Pediatric Dentistry. Everyone was so kind, knowledgeable, and reassuring. We came in for an emergency as a new patient & when we left my daughter asked if we could switch to have Dr. Roth be their new dentist. And we ABSOLUTELY are going to.

My 5 year old needed two extractions, 2 fills, and two spacers. They worked with him, made him feel comfortable with headphones and a movie, let the gas settle then gave his numbing shot. He didn't even know that his teeth were extracted. They have a waiting area for kids and are very friendly with our children. We love the staff!

We love Southridge! They are all so good with my kids and are patient. It's nice to have a movie going to distract them. When my daughter was nervous about the tools, they let her hold them and figure them out. We love this place!
