A native of Charlotte, Dr. Lisa Candon is thrilled to be practicing pediatric dentistry in her hometown! She attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill for her undergraduate studies and completed her dental training at the University of Maryland. Dr. Lisa then pursued her postdoctoral specialty training at Cincinnati Childrens Hospital which is often ranked as one of the top childrens hospitals in the country! She is board certified and a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. When not treating patients, Dr. Lisa enjoys spending quality time with her husband and daughter.
What happens when you combine acting and singing with baby teeth? You get Dr. Nehemiah Lawson, of course! Dr. Lawson, a military kid, was born in Germany and raised in Columbus, GA. He attended the University of Georgia where he discovered his interest for dentistry, served on mission trips, and even performed at Town Hall (down the street from Broadway!).
Dr. Lawson received his Doctor of Dental Surgery from UNC-Chapel Hill Adams School of Dentistry, and his postdoctoral pediatric residency training at Texas A&M College of Dentistry (formerly Baylor) in conjunction with Childrens Medical Center and Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children. Dr. Lawson is a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, American Dental Association, North Carolina Dental Association, and the North Carolina Academy of Pediatric Dentistry.
In his free time, Dr. Lawson can be found hiking with his awesome German Shepherd (Tytin), weightlifting, traveling, singing and auditioning for the latest theatre stage show, trying new restaurants, and spending quality time with family and friends!
Born and raised in Charlotte, Dr. Noah Menaker is excited to create happy and healthy smiles in his hometown! He received his undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and then spent two years teaching middle school science as a corps member with Teach For America in Phoenix, AZ. During this time, Dr. Noah also earned his Master of Education degree from Arizona State University. He then returned to Chapel Hill, where he graduated from the UNC School of Dentistry with honors and was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon dental honor society. Dr. Noah completed his pediatric training in Indianapolis, where he served as chief resident at Riley Hospital for Children. He received his certificate in pediatric dentistry and Master of Science in Dentistry degree from Indiana University.
Dr. Oscar Mvula found his passion for pediatric dentistry by participating in clinical rotations focused on children and patients with special needs. Dr. Oscar earned his Bachelor of Science in chemical engineering from the North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University in 2007 and received his Doctorate from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Dentistry in 2011. Dr. Oscar is a board certified pediatric dentist and a diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. Dr. Oscar is originally from the Democratic Republic of Congo, and now calls Charlotte home.
Dr. Charles Cooke is a pediatric dentist who proudly offers gentle dental care to infants, children, adolescents, and patients with special needs. Dr. Cooke received his Bachelor of Arts in music from Duke University and his Doctorate from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Dentistry. Dr. Cookes devotion to caring for his community and those in need led him to participate in service and teaching opportunities both nationally and abroad, serving in global dental missions, traveling to Florianopolis, Brazil and Lilongwe, Malawi. Dr. Cooke is an avid Duke Basketball fan! He enjoys spending time with his wife and children!

Love South Park pediatrics my son Hayden has been coming here for 6 years . Everyone on staff in amazing helpful and communicate very well. We live in union County but still take the drive here because of their staff.

Absolutely love, love, LOVE the Charlotte office. The staff is above and beyond the best. All four of my children are now patients and regardless of living across town the Southpark Pediatric Dentist staff is by far worth continuing to use their services. My babies leave me happy and well cared for each visit. Their attentive, caring nature puts my 2 yr old and infant at ease while my older 11 and 12 yr old feel independent and responsive. I have and will continue to recommend this office to ALL families. Can't forget the beautiful artwork in the lobby too!! Always fun to see what's next for my children to enjoy.

Dr. Cooke is a very knowledgeable doctor. He is very nice and gentle to my kids. The ladies at the front desk are very nice as well. All in all, I'd highly recommend him and the office in general. Great atmosphere.

My daughter and niece was treated with much care and with patience. I like how their is a tv above them to distract them from their treatment. I highly recommend Pediatric Dentistry for any dental treatments for children

We love SouthPark Pediatric Dentistry!! I started taking my son before his second birthday in 2016 with Dr. Cooke and Dr. Oscar!! My son would cry the first few visits but they were patient and knew how to make him feel comfortable and that won us over!!! We've seen how they have expanded and we're so happy for them. Now,I have two sons and both see Dr. Lisa Candon. We couldn't be more happy with her!! Staff is always friendly and happy to assist. All the DA's are amazing as well! Another note : their communication is always top notch!! That's why I don't mind driving 45 mins to see them. Can't go wrong with SouthPark Pediatric Dentistry. It is with a heavy heart to have to update my review that I wrote about 2 years ago. We have been loyal clients of South Park Pediatric Dentistry for many years. However, over the last year the quality of care has decreased tremendously. Our last visit was painfully awkward, as the dental hygienist became annoyed, frustrated, and downright cold with my 8-year-old son who was having a procedure done. Unfortunately, we will no longer be trusting this place with our dental care. I gave three stars instead of two keeping in mind how amazing the care used to be.

I love this place. My grandchildren has been coming here since they were babies and now they're 2 and 8 years old. Dr. Cooke is Amazing with children. Kudos to him and his staff. They all are so nice and patient with the children. I give them more than 5 stars and I recommend everyone to bring their children or grandchildren here to Southpark Pediatric Dentistry. If they did pets I would bring my dogs cats and rabbit here too. This is my favorite place to bring my grandchildren. If they did adults I would most definitely come here with no problems and bells on. Lol
