SouthLake Dental Care is a Middleburg based family dentist practice that treats patients of all ages. We are committed to delivering the highest quality dental care and do so using advanced dental equipment. We are a cosmetic dentist that offers services like checkups, teeth cleaning, crowns, veneers and more.
Dr. Eric DePetris has provided General Dentistry to adults and children for over 20 years. A native of Pittsford, New York Dr. DePetris grew up in a small town and owes much of his success to the values and old-world traditions of a tight knit community. The son of a physician, Dr. DePetris knew his future would lie in healthcare. And after graduating from Florida Southern College in 1991, he went on to complete his DMD at Tufts University of Dental Medicine. Dr. DePetris received numerous awards during dental school including merit scholarships and a United States Navy Academic Scholarship. At the culmination of his hospital residency in Bethesda, Maryland at the National Naval Medical Center, Dr. DePetris was assigned to the USS Coronado, AGF-11, Commander, Third Fleet. He relocated to San Diego, California and embarked on an exciting 2 year assignment which took him to many far off lands including Japan, Korea, Canada and Mexico. Dr. DePetris opted to shift into the realm of private practice in 2002 after gaining significant experience while serving in the U.S. Navy Dental Corps. He moved back to his hometown in upstate New York and ultimately settled in sunny Jacksonville, Florida several years later.
Dr. DePetris is an active member of the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, Florida Dental Association, Northeast District Dental Association and the Clay County Dental Society. Dr. DePetris also serves on the Florida Board of Dentistry as an expert witness. Dr. DePetris regularly volunteers at Healing Hands dental clinic in Jacksonville, Florida helping to provide necessary dental treatment to those in need.
When Dr. DePetris is not caring for his patients he enjoys spending time with his 16 year old son, A.J. And taking his hobbies to the limit, he is both an accomplished technical scuba diver and a pilot.
All of our professionals at SouthLake Dental Care maintain the highest levels of accreditation and pursue ongoing education to stay abreast of the latest trends in dentistry. Dr. DePetris is very proud of the professional, friendly team that makes up the SouthLake Dental Care team, and our goal is to treat each patient individually, making each patient feel comfortable at every visit.
Ellen has been a Dental Hygienist since 2005, and worked in the dental field since 2001. She has been part of the SouthLake Dental Care team since 2017. Ellen is passionate about patient care and preventive dentistry.

Very good service! Unfortunately, my hygienist left! The paired me up with another good hygienist though! Very satisfied with the Dentist. I would highly recommend this office.

Being a new patient I was a little apprehensive going to another dental office. That quickly dissipated with the friendly staff. I won't be ridiculous and say I can't wait to get back, however, that apprehension doesn't exist anymore and I feel very comfortable returning. Update: 6/23/2022 Had my first filling done at SouthLake Dental Care! Didn't feel any pain, but a little discomfort from the novocaine and feeling like you are slurring your speech. Another good experience with Dr. DePetris and the staff!

You can't find a better Dentist Office within 2 hours. I promise. Clean, caring and treat you like you are family. If you are a person that dreads the dentist visit, this is your go to dentist!

Great experience at SouthLake Dental! First visit I had my teeth cleaned and an exam. Second visit, I went in for a root canal and in spite of me being a little bit nervous, everything went very smoothly. The Dr. explained everything he was doing as he was doing it and it made me feel very secure and safe. Great office and staff, too. Very friendly and professional. I'm glad I found them.

Nina and Missy were great, they worked to get me a same-day appointment. I was able to complete my new patient paperwork online to save time. Everyone was very kind and helpful. Dr DePetris was gentle and patient. He even chose the simpler treatment option to save me time, money and pain! I am very thankful that my friend referred me to this office.

I really like to go to this office. The ladies are all friendly too me. The doctor is very gentle and very professional. I would highly recommend you giving them a call. Missy is very good with cleaning your teeth also!!

The office staff was very friendly and helpful. Dr. DePetris was very gentle and he and his assistant always explained in detail what they were doing. The only thing I would change is installing TV's. My previous dentist had them in the office and the TV's help to ease the nerves and keep your mind preoccupied.

Super- friendly staff. I felt no pain. Dr. Depruie could be a pediatric dentist. I had a tooth removed. I didn't even bleed. Great job.

Had oral surgery today to extract a tooth. Once inside the door every effort was made to make sure I was comfortable. Would highly recommend this dental practice
