If I could give it 0 stars I would , dumbest place ever. There are dentist who knows how to do their jobs , and dentist who don't. And this place is the one who doesn't. The lady sat there while my sister is screaming in agony for over an hour , as she hardly gave her any numbing medicine. If I were you I'd go else where. You can't even comfort or try to help your child when they are in need , when in so much pain. If I knew the dentist name she'd be fired IMMEDIATELY. Im not even the type to write reviews let alone a negative review. But these incompetent dentist has to be stopped, end of story.

We had our first visit with southfield kids dentist today, and the experience was wonderful. The place was clean and quiet. We have 2 children 4 years, and 6 years, both felt comfortable and loved the office and staff. They made sure to keep it fun for the girls and were very gentle and explained what they were going to do. The cleanings went quick and easy. The wait time was almost non existent, and the office felt comfortable, and clean.

I don't normally do reviews but I had to This time. I was not pleased with the service at all! The staff was Semi professional. The way they tried to interact with my daughter seemed force and fake. When they tried to take x-Rays my daughter who is 3y/o bit down on the assistants finger due to the discomfort of the film being pushed in her mouth and the assistant made a very angry face as if she was ready to fight. I understand it was probably painful but this is what comes with the job, learning how to deal with and service children. The assistant never changed her gloves when she would walk out the room to get supplies out of cabinets and drawers. Nothing about the place seemed professional. My daughter needed work done and I ended up taking her to another facility that was 100 times better!!! Maybe some peoples experience will be better than others but the previous reviews with 1 stars where spot on for me!

The worst service ever!!! Do not take your child here!!! Please beware. Staff is rude, tell lies, and nasty!!! And they do not wear masks - the receptionist was coughing and sneezing. I have excellent insurance and was told that they do not BCBSM dental, I do have other dental insurance and she acted like it was from another country. Told me she left a message and didn't. I only went back to give them a second chance - today confirmed I will never ever go back and tell other to not patronize here either. I really feel that because of what happened the last time, Dr. Effie doesn't want to see my child.

My daughter is 14 months. This was her first dentist appointment. All the staff were nice, friendly and professional. The assist helping the doctor was awesome. The doctor was very knowledgeable, nice, friendly and professional. She answered all my concerns and questions. She was very informative of information she provided. The doctor was very gentle with my daughter. I received calls and text messages reminding me of my daughter appointment which was great. The office was very clean and nice inside and outside of the building. I would recommend this dentist to family and friends.

Never coming again. I made an appointment for my son less than five days prior. I pick him and his siblings up from school early get him to his appT. They canceled it claiming I didn't confirm the day before. I had no voicemails. Just rude. Then the receptionist wants to argue. No thx. I'll take them to our family dentist DK dental.

Warning! Do not take your children here! I made the worst mistake by not taking my children to their previous pediatric dentist because they couldn't get my children in and took them here. Why did I do that? Due to COVID I get it we had to call from the car before going in but we waited almost an hour before we were called in. Then we were taken back to a room where I had to stand up with my daughter while my son was being serviced. Not once did the dental assistant offer a chair. When I asked for one she went to go get it and came back with no chair! And no explanation! Then everybody walked around barely speaking acting as though they all had bad days and it was barely Noon. Then dentist told me about all these things that were "wrong" with my sons mouth but not explaining if they were indeed medically necessary. He seemed as if me asking questions was a problem! Then assumed I had Healthy Kids (Medicaid) telling me very expensive if they do treatment of my sons mouth. If my son needs it, doesn't matter the cost just explain to a parent what is necessary! Then a not so friendly chick came to veg my daughter for x rays she seemed like she had a bad day too! The dentist tells me my daughter also has some further treatment needed. He did a better job explaining her situation to me then he did with my son. After explaining, the so called office manager comes in looking to tell me what my insurance covers and my pit of pocket cost of 50 dollars, I sign the treatment plan and before she walks out, she reminds me again about the 50 needed to be paid before leaving the office. By this time, her and the entire staff has irritated me! If I signed the treatment plan I am aware okay you need 50 dollars! I really think this office is used to Medicaid recipients! When it comes down to my children I don't care what the cost is I just need to understand what's needed! Final straw was when the office lady told me if my daughter didn't get the treatment today, it would be APRIL before they could do it. April? So I agreed to do the treatment today. Please tell me why we waited a whole hour in the room to only be told the nitrogen don't work and we had to reschedule for next week? But wait the office lady who don't speak English well just said April ? Big waste of time! The most unpleasant experience I swear ! Don't take your kids here , I warn you!

After waiting two months for the appointment, today I drove 30 minutes from my address due to a road accident I had to be 15 minutes late, and when I arrived they did not want to attend to me or understand my excuses, I asked to stay all day at any quota and they did not want to Now for the next appointment I must wait almost three more months. how unpleasant the attention

I had to bring my daughter for an emergency when she broke her front tooth. They were able to get me in promptly and fixed what was broken. The staff including the doctor was wonderful and very efficient.

I have nothing but positive things to say about my experiences here. I have taken both of my children, my son being autistic, and each time they were efficient, fast, kind, and patient with my children. I've taken my kid's before and after covid and though the intake is different now, they were still quick with getting us in and out. And I can APPRECIATE them taking extra precautions of limiting how many people are in the building to cut down the spread of germs, especially since they deal with the mouth where the spread of covid begins. My 5 year old was terrified but they pulled 2 teeth and she felt nothing. All smiles when we left. They will come in with a bill if you change treatment after check in, but as allllll medical facilities, you must verify insurance and payment. And we didn't have Medicaid but Blue Cross through an employer.

The Dentist and his assistant were very patient and made my child feel comfortable. Very clean, on time, and straight to the point. Although I'm sure it's difficult to operate during a pandemic they were great with the low amount of people in the building.

The Receptionist was very very rude and not professional at all. I came 15 minutes before my appointment to fill up the form as they asked, then I was waiting more than half hour just to get the form, after I completed the form the receptionist ignored me for one hour and when I decided to leave she told me "it's up to you!!!!" I'm not gonna refer this dentist to anybody.
