Dr. Kyatt is a Hoover native, a graduate of W.A. Berry high school. He continued his education at Samford University, receiving a B.S. in Biology. From there, Dr. Kyatt attended the UAB School of Dentistry, graduating in 2003.
Dr. Kyatt is married to his wife Rebecca, and they have two children, Victor IV and Taylor Grace. He is a member of Briarwood Presbyterian Church, participates in short term missions, and enjoys competitive golf.
Dr. Kyatt performs a wide variety of dental procedures, with an emphasis on restorative and implant dentistry. He received training from the Dawson Academy in Clearwater, Florida, and completed his residency in dental implant training at the Foundry Dental Center. Dr. Kyatt has been part time faculty for the Foundry Dental Center's AEGD residency program since 2012. He also serves as attending clinical faculty to dentists receiving implant training at the Foundry Dental Center. He is also a member of the Academy of General Dentistry, and the American Academy of Implant Dentistry.
I have several goals that never change. The first goal is to completely eliminate my patient's fear. As we all know, painful experiences and the fear of pain are common barriers to treatment. There are many options available to us to eliminate this fear. Second, I want to educate patients; help them see and understand what I see. This is accomplished through time and communication. This way patients are able to best care for their oral health needs. Finally, I enjoy providing long lasting treatment results. I rely on training to accomplish this, and routine follow up care as well. Sometimes, a patient may not be in position to complete their long term treatment goals. I also enjoy the opportunity to provide creative solutions that will best serve them, and meet them where they are.
Kim is a Registered Dental Hygienist with over 20 years of experience in the dental field. She has a passion for helping her patients achieve optimal health for their mouth as well as make them feel at ease during the dental treatment. When she's not at the office, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Michael, and their two daughters.
Cheryl was born in Opelika, Alabama and at age 22, she began working in a dental practice as a front desk receptionist and office manager. She became a Registered Dental Hygienist at age 26 and moved to Birmingham in 1983. She retired in 2019 but she came out of retirement to work for Dr. Guthrie. She says, Im never bored with my profession! Its been a fun 45 years!

This place is a gem! I did a basic internet search and hit the jackpot when I went searching for a new Dentist. I had Kayla as my hygienist and she's so sweet. She took my x-rays, and conducted my cleaning procedure. She was pleasant, knowledgeable, and made me feel at ease. After the cleaning was done, I had the opportunity to speak with the dentist, Dr Guthrie. She was equally as nice and went over my x-rays and made suggestions for future appointments. If you hate the dentist or have had bad experience this place is excellent. They make the process easy and pain free.

My daughter and I began our journey with Dr Guthrie and her amazing staff a few months ago and all we can say is we are more than satisfied. Our fear of dentist's were put to rest and we are both on our journey to better oral health. Thank you Dr Guthrie and your amazing staff we love you all so much

ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE! Both my husband and I went to have our cavities filled and left in so much pain that lasted for days. Two of my fillings came out. They fixed them for free... However, my teeth feel worse than they did before. As they fixed my fillings, they laughed at their mistake and didnt even apologize. It tool 3 shots to numb one area... I have never experienced such a terrible dentist experience. The Dentist is very old and her practice seems out of date. My husband agrees!

They made me feel so comfortable. They went over everything with me and answered all of my questions. All though going to the dentist is never fun, the staff here made it the best that they could. My crowns look great thank you!
