Dr. James Lowder was born and raised in Shreveport, Louisiana. He graduated from C.E. Byrd High School. Dr. Lowder earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Dr. Lowder completed dental school at LSU School of Dentistry and obtained his Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) degree. Dr. Lowder finds joy in spending time with his wife, Katie, and son, Huck. He is a member of the American Dental Association and the Louisiana Dental Association.
Dr. Richard Reed Moore was born and raised in Benton, Louisiana where he graduated from Benton High School. After high school, Reed graduated from Louisiana State University of Shreveport with a degree in Biology and then moved to New Orleans where he attended the LSU School of Dentistry. He is a member of the American Dental Association and the Louisiana Dental Association. Dr. Moore is married to his high school sweetheart Laura Moore. While not in the office, he likes spending time on the lake or in the woods enjoying Louisiana outdoor sports.
Dr. Carlee Gilley and her husband Jamie and son Nash currently reside in Benton, Louisiana. She graduated from Benton High School and then obtained a bachelors in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from Louisiana Tech University. After graduation, she attended Texas A&M Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas, Texas. She is a member of the American Dental Association and Louisiana Dental Association. She enjoys spending time with her family and traveling.

Southern Roots Dentistry is the best dentistry I've ever been too. I had 5 teeth removed today and didn't feel a thing. Dr James DDS has a one of a kind technique when it comes to removals as well as a nurturing handle of his patients which helped to ease my nerves and anxiety during the extractions. I Also have to give credit to the supporting staff for making booking, rescheduling, and following up easy and done with a smile. Southern Roots is the most compassionate dentistry. They as care for their patients as if we're family. I highly recommend them.

I had a horrendous toothache and they got me in the same day I called, I got my tooth taken care of and they gave me some antibiotics that helped the infection that I had in my tooth as well. The Doctors, hygienists and all the staff there are very nice and friendly. They always make sure that I'm comfortable when I come in for a visit. I would recommend them to anyone, "and I do".

Though I have never been a fan of going to the dentist, Dr. Moore and the entire staff have somewhat changed my attitude. He is so sweet and very thorough. I feel like I am amongst friends when I'm there. For anyone seeking to establish new dental care, I highly recommend Dr Moore!

I had a really great experience there although I was super anxious when I arrived, the DA's and Dr did so amazing with me. Southern Roots is an extremely great dental practice. They made me feel right at home.

Everyone was very kind and seemed to really enjoy working there. My family of 4 (2 adults, 2 kids) got in quickly. The kids even said it was fun!

This is great place to go for dental work. Dr. Lowery does not hurt when giving shots to numb your gums. He is the best.

Some of the nicest people I've met! You can really tell that they're on your side and try to do what's best for you. Highly recommend! Even if you have to travel a little further, it's worth it.

It's seldom you can leave the dentist and say you had an enjoyable experience. But in the case of Southern Roots, you can. Everyone was authentically friendly and I felt very comfortable. I'm so glad I made the switch to Southern Roots and I've already recommended them to friends and family.
