Growing up on the Coast, I split time between running around on Back Bay and going to school at St. Martin. From the time I was young, I knew the I wanted to be in Health Care. I knew I wanted to own my own business, but most of all I knew that I wanted to live here, on the Coast. When I graduated from St. Martin High School, I attended the University of Mississippi and received a Secondary Education degree with a Minor in Chemistry. I taught school for 2 years at Biloxi Jr. High before being accepted to the University of Mississippi School of Dentistry in 2007. Four years later, I left Jackson and returned to the Coast where I worked as an associate for 2 years. Finally, In 2013 I achieved a dream by opening my current office in St. Martin. That same year I married my wife, Shanel. Together we have 4 children: Gavyn, Kenner, Riggs, and Anne Ramsey. Here at our practice our team's goal is to deliver exceptional Dental Care to treat the needs of you, our patients. I consider myself lucky to be able to serve the people of the Gulf Coast.
Dr. Dennis Cao was born and raised on the gulf coast. He graduated from the University of South Alabama with a Bachelors degree in Radiologic Sciences and continued his education at the University of Mississippi Medical Center to earn his degree in dentistry in 2017. Upon completion, he moved back home to the gulf coast in order to serve and give back to his community. Dr. Cao believes in treating each patient with respect and compassion. Understanding that every patient is different, Dr. Cao strives to make sure every treatment plan is something the patient understands and is comfortable with. Outside of dentistry he enjoys traveling, snowboarding, gaming, and spending time with friends and family.
Amy has been a part of the Southern Magnolia Team since 2017 as our Insurance Coordinator. Her professional care to each individual naturally creates long term relationships with our patients. She currently lives in Pass Christian and has three daughters. When she is not working, Amy enjoys reading and loves to go camping.
Michelle is a life-long resident of the Gulf Coast and attended undergraduate at Mississippi State University where she received her Bachelors of Science in Communications. She completed her Bachelors of Science in Dental Hygiene from the University of Mississippi Medical Center in 2012. Michelle has been with our team since 2014 and now serves as the office manager. During her free time, she enjoys traveling, attending concerts, and keeping up with MSU sports. Michelle lives in Biloxi with her husband and two boys. (enjoys attending boy's sports events, spending time with friends and family)
Yen joined the Southern Magnolia team in Feb. 2016. She received her professional training through Meridian Community College. Yen is a highly motivated dental hygienist who is passionate about educating her patients in proper oral healthcare and helping them understand the importance of their oral health. She thoroughly enjoys working with her patients. When not working, Yen enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter.
Danielle is a dental assistant at Southern Magnolia Smiles and has been part of the team since 2018. She strives to educate our patients about dental care and hygiene. She currently lives in Gulfport. When she is not working, she loves to paint, read, and cook in her freetime.
Since 2018, she has been providing our patients professional and personal care. As the lead dental assistant, Becca loves helping patients become confident with their smile and achieve the best oral health. She lives in Pass Christian with her husband. She has 4 children and 2 beautiful grandchildren. In her free time, she enjoys reading and cooking.
Nikki has joined our team in 2021 as a dental assistant. She has a strong passion to help people optimize their oral health. She currently lives in Gautier with her two sons. In her free time, she enjoys taking part in volunteer work and cheering on her sons at their sporting events.
Cam has joined the Southern Magnolia Smiles team in 2020 as a dental assistant. She takes pride in helping our patients achieve their goals with their dental care. She currently lives in Biloxi. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her nephew. When she is not working, you can find Cam in the kitchen trying new recipes or starting a new organization task.
Mak is a graduate of Meridian Community College in 2016. Mak has been part of our team since 2021. As a healthcare professional, he dedicates himself to provide quality care to patients, promoting oral health. Beyond his work as a Dental Hygienist, Mak enjoys music, cooking, and spending time with his family.

For my first visit, Dr. Cao and his team made me feel comfortable, welcomed and valued. When it comes to my teeth, I'm frightened of pain, there was absolutely none of that while I got my x rays done and my teeth cleaned and looked at. Everyone explained the problems and answered any questions I had, because I surely had a few when it came to the pain in my mouth that I brought to them. I highly recommend this office.

First visit, everyone was awesome, and friendly. It was a real comfortable, and laid back atmosphere. Dr. Williams took his time, and explained everything going on with my teeth. The hygienist, and I talked football.. Roll Tide!!!!. Everyone was great.

Dr Robbie and his staff are incredible! They are so nice and helpful. I've never sat in the lobby for more than a few minutes which is refreshing instead of waiting hours like some Dr's do! I'm happy that I changed dentist I highly recommend Dr.Robbie

Souther Smiles take care of my kids for years now, I couldn't be any happier with service and the reception crew, office is very clean and dental services are very throughout. If you looking for a dental clinic for your kiddos in the Ocean Springs area, this is the place.

I have been a patient here for about 2 years and have always had great experiences with the staff and the Dr. Today I went and was told I was late for my appointment but I wasn't and had the text confirmations from the office to prove it. The lady at the front desk who I believe her name was Amy was very rude to me. The Dr. had left for the afternoon or lunch since there was a mix up in their system of my appointment time and they assumed I was a no show which is understandable. She was calling him asking him to come back saying " she JUST showed up" and "yeah 12 minutes late" when that wasn't the case and it was an obvious mix up. Instead of taking responsibility she treated me like I was an inconvenience in her day and talked about me disrespectfully like I wasn't sitting in the room. The hygienist and Dr. we're very respectful and nice despite the mix up. Personally it ruined my experience for the day when the first person that I saw when I walked in the door was rude to me. I even thought about walking out and taking my business else where while I was in the waiting room. The only thing that kept me from that is remembering the previous good experiences I have had with Dr. Robby and his staff.

Dr. Cao is amazing!!! I've been going to him for a couple of years now, love his work and bedside manner. Everyone in the office is very friendly. Nikki was phenomenal!! On this visit in particular I was in a lot of pain, she worked me in for a visit and treatment, same day. She is so kind and was so gentle with me. I cannot thank her enough. The entire experience for me was wonderful and GREATLY appreciated. Thank you all for getting me back to feeling better again.

Great staff but wasn't really helpful for our emergency visit. They did xrays and I was told my daughter didn't need antibiotics although her lower jaw was already swollen so we were referred to a root canal specialist. Between waiting on them to call and a day and a half later her jaw is a big as a baseball with infection. Had to go to another dentist to get her relief.

My son has a cognitive disability and was a super nervous patient. The hygienist and doctor never showed impatience toward him and went the extra mile for his comfort and care. Office staff was friendly. Recommend.

I have used Southern Magnolia Smiles for over a year now. Dr. Robbie and they staff are extremely professional and amazing. They have immediately taken care of any emergency issues that have come up. I would highly recommend them.
