She feels blessed to have the opportunity to do something that she truly loves every single day, while serving the residents of Cumberland County, which is where she grew up. She is overjoyed by the chance to bring smiles to her patients faces, alongside the best team any dentist can ask for. She also is grateful to work with a group of people who truly care about each and every patient that walks through our doors.
Dr. Youssef earned her undergraduate degree in dental hygiene, followed by a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree, both from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Since then, she has participated in several dental missions here and abroad. She provides her services to the Mission of Mercy Dental Clinic in Fayetteville, where as many as 800 people seek dental treatment at its events.
Since working in the Southern Family Dental practice since July 2014 and purchasing it in October 2016, Dr. Youssef has focused on providing personalized treatment to patients. When she isnt at the office, Dr. Youssef loves to travel. She also enjoys running, and teaching Sunday school.
Dr. Okons is a Fayetteville native and is happy to be back in his hometown treating the community. He received his Bachelors of Biology degree from UNC Greensboro and went on to receive his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from Meharry Medical College School of Dentistry.
Dr. Magi Youssef grew up in Cumberland County and is a product of its communities and public schools. What does that have to do with the dental treatment received at Southern Family Dental? Today I had an appointment at southern family dental. I just wanted to express my gratitude to Courtney for being so knowledgeable, sweet, caring and just a beautiful soul. I am a military veteran who was referred from the va here, she literally made my whole entire experience amazing. My son and I have been going to Southern Family Dental for more than a year and Dr. Youssef and the rest of the staff have provided a friendly environment that is welcoming and accommodating. It's in a convenient location with an 8am start time that fits into my work schedule. My questions are thoroughly answered and I receive guidance and solutions that fit my individual needs. The hygienists are also personable and knowledgeable. I've had Invisalign and braces before, but my teeth have since slightly shifted. I knew I wasn't going to pay a couple grand for it again. Knowing this and with my permission, they ran my coverage to see the out of pocket cost. Providing a generous discount on top of my coverage, it was more than affordable and enough to convince me to start the process again. I've been able to schedule same day appts to address issues; Dr. Youssef has eased my worry by making it seamless and easy for me to straighten my teeth again. Moving around all my life with the military and visiting many dental offices, I can say that this office meets my standard for exceptional service. Highly recommend.

My daughter had her first appointment here today and everyone was AMAZING! Dr. Youssef, Omayra D.A, Kelly Hygienist, were all so warm and welcoming and we felt the care that they have for their patients in the atmosphere! My daughter was not even nervous and she smiled and laughed while at the dentist guys even after being told she has to see a oral surgeon So you can imagine the level of comfort and support she received from such a great team! I can't wait to schedule my first appointment with them

We had the best experience here! My daughter and I both have anxiety around dental appointments from past experiences and they calmed all our anxieties. They were so sweet and attentive with my daughter (8yr) and made her feel comfortable. They addressed all my concerns. Our dental hygienist Courtney was AMAZING. Absolutely adore her. Southern Family Dental is by far the absolute best office I have ever been to. I went in to have my top 2 wisdom teeth extracted, a procedure I have been putting off due to fear. Every single staff member I came in contact with was so kind, understanding & truly did everything they could to make me comfortable. Dr. Youssef is the kindest soul, she was so gentle, walked me through every step of the process, and immediately had my trust. Nearly 24 hours later and I still have had absolutely no pain or swelling thanks to the care I was given. If you're one of those people who puts off dental work out of fear like I was I can now assure you this is the office that you need to visit!
