I had a root canal done at Southern Endodontics. It was absolutely painless and an amazing experience all around. I am always anxious and scared about the dentist and doctor but Dr. Southern and all of the ladies there are so kind and helpful.

Dr. Southern and his office were wonderful in treating my family member. They worked quickly to get her in and took incredible care of her. Staff was kind and caring and Dr. Southern professional and knowledgeable. Highly recommend!

By far the easiest experience I have ever had with a dentist office. The staff were very kind and made sure I was taken care of. At a lot of dentist offices you feel judged when you go in, not this one! Very kind and respectful! I had my dental procedure and immediately felt better! All soreness is gone 3 days later. They are also very upfront about cost (and reasonable) from your first visit to your procedure day!

I wouldn't recommend this place to ANYONE. I would give 0 stars if I could. The DR mumbles and doesn't explain things well. You pay to have expensive work done, to FIX things... but when THEIR work doesn't hold up, they give you any and every excuse as to what actually happened (because it could never be something of their work). Beyond irritated and dissatisfied. OHH and before we were even done with one tooth, he was trying to get me scheduled to have another root canal on a different tooth because I mentioned sensitivity. Update: The tooth he had done work on, had broken off gum level, which had to be surgically removed (the procedure didn't last two months). I had an old root canal retreated because it had become abscessed. When it broke out level to my gum, the insides of the tooth were black and yellow (clear signs that it should NOT have been retreated, he should NOT have continued with the procedure, it was too bad). He ( & his wife) denied that it was not that bad and would not of proceeded if true. However during surgery, while getting it fully removed from my gum, it crumbled into many pieces and the surgeon even stated that it was bad. I was refunded after leaving review but my insurance company was not. They also did not file both insurances that I provided them. This has been such an awful drawn out HEADACHE, I seriously would not recommend them to anyone.

If anyone knows me I hate the dentist with a passion . I was so apprehensive about this procedure and Im sure I was a difficult patient . The staff was so professional and I had absolutely no pain after . I highly recommend Dr Rodney Southern . He even gave me his cell phone number if I had any pain. Thank goodness it was not needed . I pray I never need this service again , but if I do it will be with Dr Southern .

Absolutely phenomenal experience!!!! Second time I've had a root canal procedure there. Always been able to get scheduled immediately. Could not not ask for a better experience or staff. I have recommended to several friends and acquaintances should they require these procedures in the future.

Office staff was so warm and friendly. Doctor Southern thank you so much for what you did for me at my visit today. I'm so grateful to know that you truly care for your patients and not out just for the money. I pray God blesses you back 10 folds for the good deed you did. The two ladies that was helping me in the back was so sweet and caring. You guys definitely rocks and the service is amazing. Wish I could've given more starts.

Got referred by dr. Cox's office which they shouldn't even referred me. Then these people do the exact same assessment in Columbia which I saw after these people. They're trying to tell me I need a root canal. So fast forward for the time to come. 1. I DIDNT EVEN NEED SAID ROOT CANAL. 2. Whenever he tried to drill on my tooth I FELT EVERYTHING 3. I expressed how nervous I was. They didn't even care and just tried to get more money out of us! I DO NOT RECOMMEND TO ANYONE. the specialist in COLUMBIA did the EXACT same test on my tooth. Told me that was stupid of them to try to refer me here.and that My tooth and other teeth are in perfect condition. These people at Suthern are terrible!!!!

I can highly recommend Dr. Southern for dental work. His whole office staff is friendly and helpful. He is professional, knowledgeable, and sensitive to the needs of his patients. Even gives out his personal number in case of an emergency.

Go into this with the mindset of I'm a wimp, my doctor knows it when he set it up: I must have had an off day for them. I came in for my appointment, gave my name. Not one person from the front of the office, assistant, to the doctor gave me their name. (As far as I know, anybody could have taken my info, set me up for the procedure and done my root canal.) My dentist knows and I told them I am very much a wimp. Anxiety knows no bounds. Again, as I'm a wimp, I wasn't alone, so it wasn't just me on the lack of common courtesy. After I was thrown out with good grace for paying my bill, within 24 hours, that same tooth abscessed and the doctor was out of town - period. That tooth ended up being pulled. Today, I was told I needed a root canal. I told them where I would never go again.

Probably the best dental experience I've had. Had a root canal. Reception staff was very courteous and helpful when it came to sorting out insurance and payment. Procedure wasn't bad at all, Dr. Southern was very precise and thorough, his assistant was right on top of things. For a procedure that can seem daunting to a patient; it was a pleasant experience.
