Doctors Monicha Hamil Drew and David Drew began their practice in Carrollton, GA in 1990. Dr. Monicha H. Drew graduated from Emory University with degrees in Biology and Religion. Dr. David Drew received his undergraduate degree in Biology from the University of South Florida. Both received their Doctorates of Dental Medicine from the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston.
A native West Georgian, Monicha is grateful to be home, serving her community with her Southern Dental team. She promotes comprehensive treatment with particular interest in collaborative interdisciplinary approaches for cosmetic and implant restorations. Serving the profession as well as patients, Dr Monicha is a member of the West Georgia Dental Study Club, the Georgia Dental Association, and the American Dental Association.
Dr. David Drew is originally from Orlando, Florida. His particular area of interest within the practice is root canal therapy and implant restoration. Outside the practice, David has a passion for dentistry in the mission field, serving on medical mission teams, both locally and in Central America. He is also very committed to serving our patients by participating in organized dentistry at the district and state levels of the Georgia Dental Association, the Pierre Fauchard Academy, and the Georgia Academy of Dental Practice.
Monicha and David reside in Carrollton and have two children, Lee and Jessi. They are members of the Carrollton First United Methodist Church. Favorite leisure activities include family travel, tennis and spending time on the water.
Dr. Tammy Armstrong Williams joined the Southern Dental practice in 2004. She is also a native of the West Georgia area. Dr. Williams grew up in Villa Rica and attended Villa Rica High School. She graduated from Emory University with degrees in Biology and Psychology, as well as the Medical College of Georgia with her dental degree. Dr. Williams was awarded the Ronald Goldstein Award for Excellence in Cosmetic Dentistry her senior year of dental school. After graduating, Tammy practiced in Newnan, Georgia for four years.Her interests within the practice are cosmetic procedures, implant restorations as well as delivering quality dental care for the entire family. She is a member of the American Dental Association, Georgia Dental Association, and the West Georgia Dental Study Club.
Dr. Williams enjoys continuing her education in the area of complete full mouth restoration with dental implants. Dr. Tammy along with her husband Adam, have three daughters; Zoie, Grace, and Lola. Outside of dentistry, she enjoys running, practicing yoga, walks with her dog Blitz, and spending time with her family and friends.
Dr. Araj Syeda is a native of South Georgia who graduated from Georgia State University with a Bachelors in Psychology and minor in Chemistry. She later went on to attend New York University College of Dentistry where she earned her DDS in 2018.After working a short time in Pennsylvania, Araj relocated to Georgia and chose to practice at Southern Dental because of a shared belief in providing high-quality, relationship-based, comprehensive care that is tailored to fit into the lives of her patients.
Following her belief in giving back to the community, Araj has provided dental needs on both the local and international level. She appreciates the many learning opportunities dentistry affords through these venues, which allow her to give back quality care. She enjoys all aspects of general dentistry especially Root canal therapy and believes that ongoing education in dentistry allows her to provide the best treatment for her patients.

Went to have my 6 month cleaning Heather took excellent care of my teeth I've had serval cleaning's over the years she is very professional. Lisa up front Took my insurance over the phone when i check in i was set to go. Highly recommend southern dental THANKS

Last September I broke off a front tooth. Was able to get an appointment quickly to check what was needed. Had appointment the next day with Dr David Drew. Extensive amount of work needed. Root canal and more. Dr. David asked me several if I needed a break. Total of 4 hours in the chair. The next day he called me to see how I was doing. I highly recommend him and the whole staff.

I could not ask for a more attentive and detailed team of people. Every experience I have continues to get better than the one before. I am so pleased with every single aspect of this place. Carla is the best!!! Also, they pay a great amount of their undivided attention directly to their patients. I commend them each time they make an effort to be personable and take the time to truly care about not only your smile, but you as a human being;)

There's a lady named Belinda, the service and knowledgeable was absolutely incredible. Im currently having a issue with a tooth, she listened to me and gave me some of the best advice ever. She really cared about my well being, and never once did i sense any bad service or attitude. I will highly recommend this place to anyone !!!

Dr. David Drew has been our family dentist for the past 8 years, We really cannot say enough good things about him. His many years of experience allow him to quickly diagnose problems and come up with different solutions. And not only is he knowledgeable and skilled but he is also caring and genuinely concerned about his patients. It is a very comforting feeling to trust a dentist and know that your dental health is in good hands!

Talk about great people! Anytime I need work done on my teeth, they go out of their way to make sure they don't hurt. Yes, even the shots barely get felt. I would recommend this dentist to anyone and every one. I no longer fear going to the dentist.
