So disappointed with the office staff I have been a loyal customer of 8 years While I love the dentist and the hygienists I was turned away because I had a new insurance card since I got a new job. The office staff would not even look at the new card and told me she texted me if I had new instance I should have sent her this in advance. Sometimes people have a lot going on and overlook such a lengthy text to simply confirm an appointment I have never been to an office anywhere that does not process new cards on the day of service. I even drove an hour to and from this office just because of the dentist. ( also during inflation ) I will be finding a new location that cares more about their patients. Unfortunately this is just a business to most people these days.

Our family has been going here for 7 or more years. Dr. Staehling is the first dentist I have trusted in a very long time. I have had too many dentists in the past who were way too eager to do invasive work. Dr. Staehling is not like that at all! In addition, he and his staff are so wonderful with children of all ages- always making sure we are comfortable. Even numbing injections before fillings are done so well that my kids don't feel them! It's pretty awesome when your kids don't mind going to the dentist!

I cannot recommend Southern Dental Arts enough! I have severe anxiety and put off going to the dentist for way too long. After seeing excellent recommendations for Dr. Staehling and his staff, I finally made an appointment. I'm so glad I did. Dr. Staehling, Lynn, Mary, and everyone else I've interacted with at Southern Dental Arts has treated me so well and with absolute kindness and respect. If you have a lot of anxiety, or even if you don't, I highly recommend you choose Southern Dental Arts.

I have had a hard time finding a good dentist. I had the same dentist for the first 30 years of my life until he retired. I never had any phobias until I had to find a new one. I went through 3 before I finally found Southern Dental Arts. I had almost given up hope of finding anyone. I had horrible experiences with gums bleeding after cleaning, an instrument breaking off inside a tooth they were putting a crown on that I had to see an oral surgeon to have removed, and very sore gums after each visit. I went for a year not seeing anyone because it tore my nerves up to go. Then one weekend I had a horrible toothache. Dr. Staehling took me on a Saturday and was able to fix it. I have been going ever since. He is always checking to make sure I'm okay and completely gets how anxious I am about going to the dentist. He always tells me to raise my finger if I need a break and is so patient and kind. My phobia is almost complete gone now thanks to him.

Going to the dentist is not an experience I typically enjoy. Ryan and the folks at Southern Dental Arts were easy to get to, had Coconut Water, whisked me right back, and had my out in thirty minutes. I viewed X-rays on an overhead screen minutes after having them taken and then that same screen broadcast the Olympics throughout the entire procedure. Giddy up. Couldn't ask for more.

We used to live in the DC area and we had the most fantastic dentist there. When we moved to Raleigh over 15 years ago, we had a terrible time finding a good dentist. None of them compared to our DC dentist. Right when we thought we found a good one, something would happen and we would realize we needed to move on. We just couldn't find an office that was good at both billing and actual dentistry. People think they have good dentists, but you don't know if they are good until you have an actual emergency. I think we have been to Dr. Staehling enough to know that he is fantastic. He's patient. He's kind. He is really good at administering Novocaine (at least my child did not complain at all when it was needed for a tooth extraction)!! He's gentle. I appreciate his bedside manner. Lynn runs a tight ship up front. I appreciate that because so many offices are run poorly. All of the staff is good. Very happy and thrilled our orthodontist recommended him.

Going to the dentist always raises my anxiety-so much so that I had avoided going for quite some time. I would become physically ill at the thought of having to see the dentist because prior experiences were always unpleasant and at times, down right traumatic. But a family member referred me to Dr. Staehling's office and my only complaint is that I didn't know about them sooner. Warm, compassionate, friendly, professional, thorough, and absolutely terrific with kids. My 8 year old couldn't stop talking about the visit and how nice Miss Jessica was. I am so grateful to have found Southern Dental Arts. My children and I look forward to being life long patients.

I highly recommend this practice for all your dental needs. I was very nervous about any kind of dental procedure and the team here was kind, caring and professional. Jessica was amazing at explaining all the procedures as they were being completed and even though I had quite a bit of work done, she was exceptionally considerate and gentle. Lynn and Dr Staehling did my filling with such great care, that I barely noticed by the time they were done. I have been incredibly intimidated in the past by any dental procedure, but after three visits to this practice I can say that I am not any longer. I highly recommend this team for anyone, but especially for anyone with worries about dental procedures because they are absolutely great.

I've only been a patient here for a little over a year (three total visits). I transferred after a negative experience somewhere else. In that time, every one of my cleanings was truly excellent (gentle, yet thorough), the dentist, hygienist and front desk woman were always very kind and easy to talk to. They took a fairly conservative approach to dental work, which I appreciated, as I felt my previous dentist was recommending work unnecessarily. The facility is nice, and they have tvs you can watch while they do your work, but it doesn't feel like it is trying to be a spa or something else other than an excellent dental office. But what motivated me to come and make a review (which I will post in a few different places) was the fact that when I called to pay my husband's most recent bill, the receptionist asked if she was correct in thinking I was hoping to hear news on a new job, which was accurate. The fact that she remembered a week after my husband visited and almost a month after I visited, really touched me. If we weren't moving to Charlotte (for the new job) I would absolutely not be leaving this office.

I've been going to Southern Dental Arts for a few years, and Dr. Staehling has done a lot of work on my teeth, including multiple crowns. I recommend him highly. Whether it's a routine check-up or you need crowns, you won't be disappointed. Dr. Staehling has a very nice personality; you'll always feel cared for and never intimidated (like some dentists make you feel). He is attentive to details and will make sure you're satisfied with the shape/shade not only of your permanent crown but your temporary as well. I'm smiling more and more because I don't need to worry about the state of my teeth now. Dr. Staehling, Jessica, Laticia are all incredibly kind, and it is easy to schedule your appointments and figure out your insurance details with Lynn.

I just had my first visit at Southern Dental Arts. And I was extremely impressed. Everybody was so kind, caring, and professional. Dr. Staehling, Lynn, and Letesea were all so wonderful. I felt very comfortable when I was there. And I'm really looking forward to seeing everybody during my next scheduled visit which is in a couple of weeks.

After several years of more dental work than I'd care to admit, I absolutely love this dentist office! Dr. Staehling and his staff are very personable and he does amazing work. I drive from rural Nash County just to have my dental care concerns addressed and to receive great customer service as well. My treatment plan was initially very extensive. At the very beginning Dr. Staehling took the time to meet with me and explain my personal treatment plan, answer my questions and address my concerns. I knew exactly what to expect each step of the way. Now my teeth look and feel great! I love how Ms. Lynn sends me a reminder text of upcoming appointments. I always look forward to seeing her warm smile every time I walk in the office. Thank you Dr. Staehling and thanks to your wonderful staff for my amazing smile, but most of all, thanks for exceeding all of my expectations for a dental office! J.P. Barnes Nash Country

Great people and great service. I have been going here for about two years and have always been very satisfied. I am in the process of getting a bridge put in and they have more than met my expectations. I also would highly recommend that you use their hygienist, the best I have ever had clean my teeth.

My son, daughter, and I have been with Dr. Staehling and his amazing staff for 5 years and I can tell you this is the best dental practice we have ever had experience with. Not only are they competent and skilled at what they do but they are also so warm and personable. They truly care for their patients and are concerned for their total well being. I will continue referring them to my friends and family.
