Dr. Tung Bui grew up helping his mother in her dental office. Consequently he knew as a young man that dentistry was the path he wanted to take. These early-in-life experiences were the perfect start for his lifes work.
In dental school, conversations with residents, whom he found to be both fun and smart, deepened his interest, and as result fanned his interest into genuine passion. Eventually he resolved to pursue a career in Endodontics.
A native of Toronto Canada, Dr. Bui and his wife, Ai Leen, moved to the desert southwest in 2007 to join the team at Southern Arizona Endodontics. Subsequently, the Bui family welcomed a new member of their family; their son David in 2014.
Had a previous Root Canal that was done elsewhere, re-done by Dr. Bui.He carefully explained the process and took time to insure I understood everything and answered all of my questions. Relatively painless!

Dr. Dave Burros never dreamed his career could be so much fun. After many years and thousands of root canals, he still cant wait to tell you how much he loves his job. Thats especially so when he gets to work on unusual or difficult cases.
I have had several root canals here. The staff is awesome. Dr Burros, Dr Justin Hughes are the best! The minute your numb, your pain free. Minimal pain for healing time. They explain everything.I highly recommend them.

Most amazing endodontics office I've ever been to! I was having severe pain on my molar, after seeing a dentist he referred me out to SAE because i would need a root canal done. After calling the office they were able to see me same day in one of their 4 offices. When i went in they were able to get the root canal done on the spot and just like that the pain was gone. Dr. Hughes was very friendly, very kind and also very helpful with explaining in depth what the issues with my teeth were; something prior dentists hadn't talked to me about. He gave me options as well as explained what procedure would be better in my case. I'm so thankful for Southern Arizona Endodontics, I would still be in agonizing pain waiting for somebody to be able to take me in if it weren't for them. 10/10

I was referred to this facility for a root canal. When I arrived the doctor barely checked my teeth and actually touched the wrong tooth to try and trick me when I said I felt pain there. He said since I wasn't in excruciating pain from him touching my teeth that I didn't need a root canal. A few months later and I'm in the emergency room from the pain and my dentist was shocked when he took x rays and I explained that this facility denied me. The abscess/infection was deep below the filling, so it wasn't obvious to the naked eye. Finally got it taken care of by Hobeich Endodontics and I am no longer in pain. By the way, southern Arizona endodontics charged me $100 for the doctor to barely tap my tooth and turn me away after less than 5 minutes of "examination".

Had a root canal. The whole process was literally painless! Dr Kramkowski and his assistant were great! Would def recommend this office! Office staff was great as well.

I just wanted to take a moment to share my experience I had on Tuesday 6/28/2022 starting with my phone call I've been experiencing excruciating pain and needed to get in right away and they were able to get me in THAT DAY which I've never had happen before & I was SO THANKFUL. When I arrived at my appointment I had the pleasure of having Nikki and Douville helping me discuss my options and I wanna thank them both so much for the unbelievable kindness they showed me at my appointment and how gentle they were when doing X-rays and checking my teeth. . Going to the dentist is hard not only because of the cost but I've always been torn down cause of the current state of my teeth & I know I've been neglecting them but it's hard getting affordable dental care now a days and it's almost impossible to afford when your living paycheck to paycheck. But I wanna thank Nikki & Douville for simply being nice to me I appreciate it more than I can express in words.

This has to be the nicest staff I've ever met! Claudia, Bernadette and Dr Bui were super nice. They explained the procedure in understandable terms and we're professionals through and through. I highly recommend So Az Endo if you need a dental procedure done. Dan K.

READ IF YOU HAVE Anxiety. Haven't been to the dentist in 14 years from a Terrible experience. Ended up finally going and needed a root canal. Dentist told me to come to this place. Right from the beginning the First Lady assisting (sorry I forgot your name) listened to my concerns and I felt like she actually cared. DMD Keippel did my procedure and before getting started listened to my entire story again. He assured me I would feel nothing and he was right. I felt nothing and I mean NOTHING. I did receive the gas which I would recommend because it's awesome but I ended up passing out for about half the procedure. I'm sure my snoring was louder than the drill. I don't want another root canal but I'm certainly no longer worried if I do need one.

This was by far my best experience with getting any dental work done. I have had a root canal in the past which I had no complaints about however the experience here was beyond expectations. Everyone was very friendly and able/willing to explain what was going to happen. They were very professional as well as gentle. It felt like it went really fast because I was so comfortable the whole root canal. I will need another root canal in the near future and will be more than happy about it knowing the skill and care that will be taken at Southern Arizona Endodontics.

Nothing better than a Emergency Root Canal during your lunch break and you get the hands of an Angel working on you, Dr. Douville, DDS, MS & his Oustanding Dental Assistant; Jenny!!!!! Highly recommend!

So much novacane or whatever it is now. Caused me to first feel a little sick and then started uncontrollably shaking. Dentist comes in says hang in there this is normal... I didnt know this and I am freaking out. Never happened before. My body calmed down as he told me it would, but not informing your patient of possible side effects is bad practice at the very least.

Superb practice -- from the receptionist through the dental assistant (Talia), the orthodontist (Dr. Hughes) and the billing clerk -- every interaction was great. They handled a tricky root canal with ease. I was kept updated throughout about what they were doing and why. Brought me a blanket when I mentioned being cold. All staff are professional, friendly, and kind. Highly recommended

First let me say that my issue here is not with the quality of the work. The doctor was very knowledgeable and highly skilled, and I've had no lingering issues or problems. If I had to give a rating for just the work done, I'd give five stars. However, I personally felt like a "product" being rushed out through an assembly line. I was somewhat anxious to come in because I'd never had any dental work this complicated before. Perhaps I'm mistaking efficiency with rushing, but I struggled with my anxiety the entire time I was there because the whole process felt impersonal. Maybe I'm expecting too much, or maybe I've been spoiled with highly patient dental offices in the past. Maybe the office was just having a very busy day, I don't know. Again, the quality of the work, as far as I can tell, is top notch, but the atmosphere was just a little lacking for my taste.

I had a root canal done by Dr. Burros. Him and his assistant were amazing! They made me feel so comfortable as I get very bad anxiety when going to the dentist. I felt little to no pain, and they made sure I was very comfortable throughout the procedure. I would recommend them to anyone!!! Especially if you have a fear of the dentist like me!!!!!! They were SO kind and made me feel so comfortable.

Had a great experience at Southern Arizona Endodontics. I needed a root canal and was recommended by Dr. Kun from Grant Road Dentistry. The entire place is top notch from the top down. The front girl greeted me when I came in, had me sign a few forms, and got me in the back within 5 minutes. My Dental assistant was Ashely, she was very nice, compassionate, and professional. Explained everything that was going to happen. My Doctor was Dr. Tom Kramkowski, who was excellent. The entire procedure was 100% pain free, and I was out the door in approximately 70min. I was not paid to post this review. They did an excellent job and just thought they deserved a good review. Highly recommended!

Horrible follow up. I had an appointment 2/6 and I was given a med by Dr. Douville and told if I was still experiencing neuralgia pain to call back to get information on a face pain specialist. I called last week to not ever be called back. I called 3 different times today. I was placed on hold for over 10 mins the 2nd time as she stated she needed to pull my information up on a different computer. 3rd time I call back and I was told oh she didn't say that she said she would call you back. (No accountability) I get called back by Sue and she says oh sorry I'll see what Doctor I can get the info from and call you back. Shouldn't this information already have been documented from my original request a week before. (Of course it wasn't) Then proceeds to tell me oh the doctor you seen is out today.....that's today, where was he all last week since I've been waiting for a call back?! All they do is pass the buck, oh it's not my problem!!

Two root canals here 10 years apart. Both times these guys were efficient, very kind and high quality work. Immediate relief. One interesting thing is that - during my procedure this time, the doctor referred to me as "my friend" ... Like "ok, my friend, I am going to begin" ... Anyway, that simple phrase relaxed me somehow. All my stress just dissolved because it put me in a state where I felt like I was a friend having a favor done ... Not some guy holding power over my well-being. Later that evening, the temp crown popped off (my fault I am pretty sure) and they have a 24/7 on-call person who called me back within minutes. Also - I got a same-day appointment. Just all over a great experience considering that I had a root canal.
