Through conservative dentistry and a comprehensive approach, Dr. Picot leads the team with dedication, modern technique and style. A native of Shaker Heights, Ohio, Dr. Picot completed his undergraduate in Business Administration from the Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. It was there that he completed his Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree. After graduating, he went to the Palmetto Health Richland Memorial Hospital in Columbia, SC to complete his general practice residency.
As a Morehead Scholar, now known as Morehead-Cain, Dr. Picot was initiated into Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc, and eventually founded the UNC Malawi Dental Project in 2004, which sends students annually to Africa to provide free dental services and education on AIDS/HIV. He also donated a locker room to the UNC School of Dentistry, which bears hisname.
When Dr. Picot opened SouthEnd Dentistry in 2009, he had the opportunity to create his unique vision of what dentistry should look like a modern and contemporary space where community happens and smiles are improved upon every day. More than 10 years later, Dr. Picots vision has paid off hes been voted a Top Dentist in Charlotte year after year, and boasts some of the most advanced in-house technology and procedures in the area.
Dr. Picot is still committed to effective dental treatments that address the root cause of symptoms. His wealth of experience has taught him to take a conservative approach to restorations and repairs, preserving as much of the natural tooth as possible. His long-term approach is focused on saving patients time and money, while giving them a smile they can be proud of.
Dr. Sanders was born and raised in Indianapolis, Indiana by two loving parents, an older brother and a supportive village of family and friends. After participating as a triathlete through high school, Dr. Sanders beat the odds and received an academic scholarship to Tuskegee University in Alabama where he received a B.S. in Biology and then went on to earn a Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree from Howard University College of Dentistry in Washington, DC. where he served as President of the Class and Vice President of the Student National Dental Association. Becoming a dentist had been a life-long dream since third grade and through hard work and determination he reached that goal.
Dr. Sanders loves being a dentist and he is particularly grateful for the opportunity to give back to the community through service and mentorship. His most memorable experiences were serving in multiple communities in Jamaica where he provided emergency dental care to hundreds of families and children who traveled for miles, serving for Remote Area Medical Volunteer Corps and having the opportunity to work with Indian health Services. What he appreciates the most about dentistry is the ability to put smiles on faces every day changing the stereotype of office visits. Dentistry is also a confidence booster and he strives to change the lives of adults and children.
Dr. Sanders is incredibly excited to work with Dr. Picot and his practice. With the state-of-the-art facility, modern technology, and great mentorship, he plans to continue to provide optimum care for all. He prides himself in providing dental education, open lines of communication and empathy for his patients needs with changing one smile at a time.

Recently got my tooth filled and the doctor rushed things out then he left me in middle of the filling and left and the assistant finished fill when she's not supposed to preform fillings, it's been two weeks I'm having trouble pain, filling not smooth and food getting stuck in that tooth, I made appointment with different dentist somewhere else to get it fixed because I don't trust them.

Dr. Picot and his team are the best! I got my first cavity filled and they made it seem easier than anything. I got to sit back and watch Netflix while they worked away. Would highly recommend them to friends and for those who are causious about dental offices. I've been going here for a few years for cleanings and having only good things to say.

Dr.Sanders was great! He really takes his time to make sure that I'm comfortable during my visits. Even though he's a dentist he made me feel relaxed during my visits. Some dentist just come in do the job and then leave the rest for the hygienist. That's not the case with Dr.Sanders. I recently visited him for a root canal and he did a great job with minimal pain. I have had a root canal before and it was nothing like this treatment. The staff are amazing and make sure they provide you with impeccable service as well. During my consultation with Brooke she made sure she provided me with all the options possible that would fit my budget. I didn't feel pressured especially with the way dental benefits are setup now for companies. Brooke was very relatable, funny and I left feeling like I was very taken care of. Dr. Picot and his staff are excellent. I have been a patient with them for over a year now and I am always satisfied with the service I receive. Also, recently, Claudia provided me with the gentlest and attentive cleaning I have ever experienced. She was warm, inviting, and super efficient. I highly recommend this business!

At 55 years old, I've always been apprehensive about going to the dentist, most of my dental experience has been from my career in the military, and it was rough. So, needless to say, my teeth were not in the best of shape, which also intimidated me about going. Well, thank God for Southend Dentistry and Doctors Justin Sanders!!! From my very first visit Dr. Sanders made me feel welcome, and comfortable to be there. His professionalism and office presence were exemplary, to say the least. The staff is very friendly and pleasant, and the office is run like a well oiled machine. But the best part is the dental work that Dr. Sanders provides!! I've had 2 root canals, 2 fillings, and 2 crowns plus a deep cleaning, and all were virtually pain free!! Even weeks after my procedures, I have 0 pain!! I will continuously use Dr. Sanders and the Southend Dentistry team for any and all my dental needs, my wife and children are now becoming patients of the wonderful Dental group!! I am extremely satisfied!! 5 stars, if 5 is the very best!!!

Dr Picot and his team are amazing and efficient. They squeezed me in 3 weeks ago when a crown came off. We discovered that the root canal failed (done by another dentist) and I needed an implant. He carefully explained the 3 step process that spans over several months. Part one, the extraction, happened yesterday. It was the fastest dental appointment ever!! Dr Picot has been my dentist since I moved here and he should be yours too!!

I recently had a crown crack that I needed fixed, but did not have a dentist that I had established care yet within the Charlotte area. SouthEnd was able to squeeze me in the next day, and fix it that same day! Brooke at the front desk was super helpful and welcoming, and also made me laugh at stressful time. Dr. Sanders did an amazing job and made sure I was comfortable the whole time. The hygienist did a great job and was so friendly. Overall, the whole team made the experience flawless. Thank you all!!

The worst dental office in NC - caused extensive damage to my sister's mouth after over drilling a cavity and she had to go to several different dentists to get a second opinion after spending thousands of dollars trying to get the work "reversed". The office staff is downright rude and frankly does not have an ounce of any type of professionalism, after asking repeatedly for pictures/documentation they never provided what my sister needed. Please go elsewhere if you want good dental work done in the future.

I never thought that I would ever say I enjoy going to the dentist, but from the dentist to each of the dental assistants and hygienist that have provided service to me, all were wonderfully attentive. The environment is impeccable and very relaxing. The office provides a calmness that I had not experienced before in a dental office. The added touches such the design of the office space, wall color, music and watching tv while they work in your teeth add to the calming effect and the music and tv during services help the time pass. This is the best experience I've had at a dentist! Highly recommend.

Alright let's start with the front desk Miss Marcia she is a beautiful and very understanding person even when over the phone she actually tries to listen to you and make sure that she understands your problem in full before she does anything. Doctor Sanders hes very calm you're calm and reassuring to let you know that you are in good hands and that you will be taking care of with the best care possible he is also the reason why my anxiety wasn't as high as it was the last time that I came. Doctor Picot, Tess and Anna you're great when dealing with me only because I know I'm complicated when it comes to needles and my anxiety went through the roof and yall helped me get through it and I will forever be thankful for that. I will definitely be coming back.
