I don't recommend. Would give 0 stars if I could. I had an appointment at 12:15 and the paperwork took 15ish minutes which is fine as this is normal. I was taken to the back around 12:40 and was asked to watch a short video which ended in about 10 minutes. I was asked to open the door after the video was done. The assistant came in right away and said that the Dr. will be in a few minutes. The Dr. didn't come in and I got up and left at 1:20. All they said was, "I'm sorry, do you want to reschedule?". No, I don't want to reschedule and waste my time again. This has caused me to almost miss my work meeting which was at 1:30. Wasted over an hour and received no consult whatsoever. I asked if there was a payment due, and the lady at the front said," no, you have insurance", I'm hoping you guys do not charge my insurance for a consult that I didn't even have.

The staff is excellent. No problem there. Dr. Tallent was nice enough but to me he is extremely heavy handed with the needle. Most doctors will numb you slowly but this doctor gives it to you all at one time. I tried to yell, came up out of my seat but he didn't budge on his course of action. My husband saw Dr. Swann a few months earlier and loved him. He said that Dr. Swann came in three different times to inject the numbing meds. This is unacceptable to me. Inducing extreme pain is not my idea of a good doctor. I've been to plenty of doctors and nobody has ever hurt me like that since Dr. Bowen when I was a child. Dr. Tallest will never get another chance to hurt me like that again. Also, even though he had to do extra work and drilling in the mouth to extract all the tooth and roots, he wouldn't prescribe some extra pain meds for me to take if needed. Instead, I suffered from 10am till 4 pm until I could no longer stand the pain and called for meds. He promptly returned my call and admitted that because of the in depth work in my mouth was causing my extra pain! He could've saved me time, energy and money if he'd be more considerate. He's not a hateful doctor. Just kinda rough and in a hurry in my opinion. If you have any ptsd, don't go near this doctor. It was extremely traumatic for me. I'm extremely gun shy about dental work and needles now.

Overall experiene was ok. The ladies at the front desk (especially the check-in lady) were wonderful, personable and friendly. Once I was called back, the assistant, Brittany, was very unsociable. I was dreading to have a tooth pulled and she wasn't comforting, reassuring or pleasant at all. Bedside manner is huge and unfortunately, it was lacking. Everything else was just ok.

V.A. sent this disable vet over for dental care. This is 6/8/21. I drove 30 miles to this small town to see everyone in this office with mask on, and where I just came from we had them gone, cause if you have any IQ, mask is good if the person wearing has something. Anyway the receptionist was nice and informed us we needed our Temps taken. I allowed that, and then I was told we had to masked up. I asked why? The doctor came from around a corner, Dr. Tallent, and got into our conversation saying cdc mandates and I could leave if I had a problem. I am 67, and the doctor should have been doing his job, not disrespecting this veteran. I did not beleive he cared for his patients. I had a hurt mouth, had anxiety, done called up, and he could have discuss options. I obviously didn't have covid, no fever. Could have worked with me. Breaking news, your business is made by patients, and we need not be treated inhumane dr tallent

First time having tooth extracted and I must say it was a pleasant experience. Staff from check in to check out were professional and friendly. I was in & out in 45 minutes. Dr Swann numbed my mouth and removed tooth so quickly I didn't even have time to think about it. Give them a call!

Both of my kids had their wisdom teeth removed at the Albemarle location. I have been incredibly satisfied with the professionalism and dispositions of surgeons as well as the outcome of their surgeries (including post-surgery videos which have hysterically entertained our family.) Along with the surgical team and facility, I have to give five stars to their front desk associate, Kellie Hodges. She is, no doubt, a tremendous asset to Southeast as she presents a warm welcome making any parent or patient feel at ease during their visit while answering questions, making appointments, and taking care of each individual with a positive attitude and smile on her face. Highly recommend Southeast Oral & Maxillofacial to anyone!
