Born in India and raised in sunny South Florida. Dr. Patankar (or Dr. P) attended the University of Florida for his undergraduate degree in chemistry and Barry University for a masters degree in biomedical sciences. He attended Nova Southeastern University College of Dental Medicine. As an active member of school organizations and president of the professional fraternity Alpha Omega, he organized multiple oral cancer awareness 5K runs to raise funds to help with surgical treatment for patients. After graduation, Dr. P moved to and practiced in northern Virginia. Along with his brother, sister-in-law, nephew and parents, he decided Houston would be a great place to settle and made the move here in 2019!
Dr. P strongly believes in patient education and information, and he stays up-to-date with what dentistry has to offer. His focus on patient care is being a dental Sherpa to guide patients as they navigate treatment options. When communicating about dental concerns/treatments, his goal is to best answer two important questions for all his patients: What are we doing? and Why are we doing it?
Outside of dentistry, Dr. P enjoys cooking, talking to people and learning about anything new that he does not know of. He believes learning leads to humility. Dr. P also enjoys exploring new restaurants and bars, as well as following cricket and soccer. Recently, he has reacquired his taste for football by getting into a fantasy football league with some of his colleagues.
Melody has been married for over 35 years. She and her husband have two sons and a daughter. Melody and her husband also have seven beautiful grandchildren that light up their world. Their fur babiessix dogs, two cats, and a donkeyare a part of the family. Melodys favorite place is the beach. Any beach. She took up RVing a few years ago and she enjoys being outside. Melody loves spending the day around the pool grilling with her family.
My name is Talisha Hutchings. Im a registered dental hygienist. My family and I moved to Texas in July of 2020 from East Tennessee. We have settled into Pearland, Tx, and are enjoying our newest adventure! My husband, Tyler, and I have two kids- Alyssa Kate, who is 5 years old, and Calvin Tyler, who is 3 years old. I work part-time and spend the rest of my time making memories with my crew. I graduated from dental hygiene school in May of 2016. I was a dental assistant before being accepted into my program. All together have over 8 years of experience in dentistry. I love to learn and further my knowledge in dental health. I am happy to make my dental home Southeast Dental Care and work closely with such a wonderful group whose core values align with mine!

I've been coming here for the last 10 years and the staff has always been amazing. I couldn't recommend Dr. Patankar more! He is extremely kind, makes sure that you are always comfortable, and thoroughly explains the whole visit.

I go in for a cleaning every 6 months. Wonderful staff. They do a wonderful job on my cleanings and Dr. P is very thorough in checking my teeth for any possible problems. I feel comfortable there and I also feel confident my teeth are getting good care.

I was very pleased with my experience at Southeast Dental. Few months ago, our dentist retired and looking for new dentist we went to Peter Dental, they were expensive, didn't care about your safety, not wearing mask or wore their mask under their nose especially Dr. Peter. Our Daughter-in-law recommended Southeast Dental, the experience here was totally opposite of what we had with Peter Dental, not only they were friendly and curious and ware mask, they wore N95 mask and working at health care I know how difficult it is to wear one all day long. As it should be there was no extra charge for cleaning, where Peter dental wanted 80 dollars Co-Pay, and lot less expense, I highly recommend Southeast Dental.

Dr. P is fabulous at his job. He is very patient with children and very encouraging to them. It is not a scary place for my kids to go. He is also very detailed with his explanations! The staff is kind and knowledgeable and extremely friendly. Melody sits at the front and her cheerful smile makes you feel very welcomed in this atmosphere. I would recommend this dental facility to my friends and family! Thank you so much for caring for my family.

Tenderness and compassion are essential traits of any worthwhile dentist, but when those traits are exhibited by the entire staff you know you're in good hands. An exceptional dental practice with reasonable rates. Would give six stars if I could.

I've been with SE Dental Care for almost 8 months now! So many good experiences from this place, I can list 3 things about it. 1. The staff is nice and professional 2. The doctors are extremely helpful and care about your health. 3. They introduce people with a smile (even with a mask) If you ever want to find a dentist, you should give them a call and set an appointment now!

We were visiting Houston and I needed a dentist. They opened at 8 on a Monday, I called and they gave an emergency appointment at 9:15 am. I needed a root Canal and I was finished at about 1 PM. Great service. Doctor P was great, taking care that I was in no pain throughout. I recommend him. My previous root Canal was much worse in terms of pain after the procedure. At Southeast Dental Care the pain after anesthesia wore off was less than previous times and lasted less (maybe 2 hours). It is now 10pm and I have no pain.
