Dr. Kilmartin grew up in Southeastern Massachusetts attending Bishop Stang High School in Dartmouth, and then College of the Holy Cross in Worcester. At Holy Cross, Dr. Kilmartin studied Pre-Med with a major in Studio Art. She went on to receive her DMD degree from the University of Pennsylvania, School of Dental Medicine in Philadelphia, PA. Upon graduation from dental school, Dr. Kilmartin continued her studies at the University of Pennsylvania earning a Certificate in Advanced Education in General Dentistry. After gaining valuable experience as a general dentist for several years, Dr. Kilmartin completed her education at Tufts University in Boston, earning a Certificate in Advanced Graduate Study in Endodontics.
Dr. Kilmartin has been practicing with Southcoast Endodontics since 2005. Striving to provide high-quality dental care, Dr. Kilmartins gentle touch and caring demeanor is her top priority while administering Endodontic therapy to her patients.

This was my first root canal and I am so glad I went with Dr. Nghiem. He was very patient in walking me through the process. From the anesthesia to the root canal itself, it was completely painless. I've had cavity fillings worse than this. He is very methodical when he's working and has a very steady hand. Not only that, the anesthesia wore off soon after leaving the office (I hate when I'm numb for hours) so he used the right amount. Hopefully won't be needing another root canal any time soon, but if I did I would definitely recommend Dr. Nghiem!

I haven't seen a dentist in quite some time time because I'm terrified of them. When I needed a root canal, Dr. Nghiem came to the rescue. He is very gentle and very skilled in his craft. He ensured that I felt comfortable about the process and he was transparent about the details of the procedure. I really appreciate his professionalism and his staff's great care and attention to details. The office is clean and there's always a friendly staff who is ready to help you. I definitely recommend Dr. Nghiem for any root canal work. He is truly a caring and incredible dentist. He is open and perceptive to his patient's needs and will always make you feel heard! Look no further and make your appointment! You will not be disappointed.

I was a bit concerned about going to the dentist during the pandemic so when I finally got vaccinated and went they told me I needed a root canal. I told my friend I was dreading getting a root canal because I hate the numbing shots. He told me he went to Dr Nghiem and had an awesome experience. I was a bit hesitant but scheduled the appointment. When I walked into the office it was clean and quiet. The front desk person was warm and welcoming. I filled out he usual forms and was taken to the room to get the root canal and get numbed up. I was starting to get nervous. For me it's not the needle entering that hurts, it's when they inject the Novocaine. So the needle goes in and I felt the initial pinch. I braced myself for the injection and it didn't hurt! I think the difference with what Dr Nghiem did was take his time slowly injecting instead of slamming it all in at once. I wish all dentists did that. I actually got numb pretty quick which usually doesn't happen. The procedure went quickly and was painfree! Now whenever a friend needs a root canal I always refer them to South Coast. They treat their patients so well.
