Dr. Yoon is a trained Prosthodontist. He completed his specialty training in Prosthodontics and his general studies at Columbia University College of Dental Medicine. Dr. Yoon graduated with Honors and is a member of Omicron Kappa Upsilon, a dental honor society. He has extensive experience with full mouth implant restorations, implant supported overdentures, complex rehabilitation of crown and bridge, cosmetic smile makeovers and has special interest in removable prosthetics. Dr. Yoon is the recipient of many awards such as Pre-Doctoral Achievement Award from the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, Waterpik Corp Best of the Best Award of Excellence in Prosthodontics, Eugene Rothchild Memorial Award for Excellence in the area of Fixed Prosthodontics, Columbia CDM Prosthodontics Award, and Special Award of Appreciation from the Graduate Prosthodontics Division in Columbia CDM. You will find Dr. Yoon to be a caring individual with a gentle touch. Dr. Yoon also has interest in helping the environment and does his part in making a smaller carbon foot print.
Dr. Na is a graduate of Columbia University College of Dental Medicine. After completion of her degree, she devoted three additional years in a post-doctoral graduate program in Prosthodontics, a specialty that is dedicated in the art and science of replacing or restoring teeth. As a specialist, Dr Na is trained in doing the most complex dental reconstructions as well as the simple crown and filling. Dr. Na is also very well trained in removable dentures, implant prosthetics and complete esthetic smile makeovers. Further, she spent two years teaching as a faculty member at the same institution where she finished all her dental and specialty education. She was a participant at scholarly meetings such as The Greater New York Academy of Prosthodontics and Academy of College Prosthodontics. Dr. Na has a special interest in Laser Dentistry and is a certified fellow in the World Laser Clinical Institute. In her free time she enjoys playing the piano, cooking, and spending time with her two daughters.

Dr. Na is the best dentist I've found in Southbury in almost 20 years after trying several others, including redoing two poorly done composite fillings by one of them. She and her staff are always very cordial and take the necessary time so the work is done right. Recently my old flexible denture broke, it wasn't repairable and Dr. Na quickly expedited getting a high quality, well fitting replacement. Last year she did an implant crown that has looked and felt great. They also accept my dental plan that helps lower the cost. Very highly recommended!

Dr. Na and her team are great. trips to the dentist are not high on my list of favorite to do's but they make you feel calm and comfortable.

Let's face it...Going to the dentist can be extremely stressful and anxiety ridden for many people. Add the fact that you are going to see a Prosthodontic specialist because you have to have many teeth pulled and you are filled with enormous uncertainty and that anxiety level is immeasurable. This is how I felt when I first contacted Southbury Smiles but from the get-go, the staff that work at this office were first rate. It started with the receptionist Jeanne, who is the calm and reassuring voice it answers the phone and sets up the appointments. Through the process of setting up the appointment, making sure that my insurance was up-to-date and all the follow up that needed to take place after my visit, Jeanne was reassuring, organized and compassionate. First impressions are everything and she really was amazing and I told her so when I met her. Dr. Michelle Na, the prosthodontist, was calm, patient and extremely thorough with her recommendations and explanations. She calmly and patiently answered all of my questions with confidence and took the time to explain the procedures to me in terms that I could understand and comprehend. She was very thorough in her presentation and made sure that I understood what she was saying before she moved on to another option. Cynthia, who was a dental assistant, took the time after my appointment to answer more questions that I had as well as allowed me to look at and take some pictures of the teeth models that might be appropriate for my needs. Above all, the professionals in this practice, took into consideration what was in my best interest above everything else and were willing to take the necessary steps to ensure that I would get the best possible treatment that I could receive that was within my financial capabilities to actually achieve. I cannot thank them enough. They honestly have helped to positively change my life and I will be eternally grateful. I would highly recommend this prosthodontics dental practice.

I recently saw Dr Na for an hour and twenty minute appointment. During that visit she filled 4 cavities, buffed stains off my teeth and repaired chipped and uneven teeth. She was extremely gentle and it was altogether a comfortable experience. When I left I looked remarkably different - as though I had cosmetic dentistry done. Never had a more successful experience with a dentist. Highly recommend Dr Na!

I would like to take a moment to tell you about my experience with Dr. Michelle Na of Southbury Smiles. My case was extreme. Probably Dr. Na's most challenging patient. I had extensive damage that required extensive work. Additionally, because of personal reasons, I had started and then stopped my work...by a couple of years. When I finally went back to Dr. Na to continue the work we started, I found her to be nothing short of kind, understanding and non-judgmental. The work took several months due to the degree of replacement necessary. I was very particular as this was my one and only chance to look and function normally again. I can tell you that Dr. Na went above and beyond to meet all of my requests. She stayed late, came into the office on her days off, all to meet my needs. Dr. Na never made me feel that my requests were unreasonable, and she always found a way to meet them. Dr. Na is truly a gifted dentist, especially as it relates to "customized" dental work....which was my case. Needless to say, Dr. Na exceeded my expectations and has given me my life back. I highly recommend Dr. Na. (Her staff are equally as impressive.)

Dr Na is OUTSTANDING! My wife and I are thrilled with her thoroughness and people skills. She is very soft spoke yet consistently checks in while performing procedures to ensure we are not experiencing any discomfort. I cracked a tooth while on a business trip and called the office not realizing it was off hours. Dr Na called me back immediately and told me to meet her at the office where she treated my tooth. She took the time to do the complete job (not a quick fix for a later date) there was no need to come back for any further treatment. ...My wife is very sensitive and Dr Na is very solicitous, calming and reassuring. In short, she's terrific!

The best in the area . Clean , Organized and friendly atmosphere. Never had an issue. Can't say enough of this office . Lived in Connecticut all my life and have seen my share of different dental practices. By far the best practice that I have been to. Honest and efficient and right to the point.

You would think it would be hard to love a dental office that would extract a bunch of your teeth, but Southbury Smiles and Dr. Na makes you a believer. Every one in this office is top notch. Pleasant, competent, and caring is a model for other offices to emulate. When there is no acceptable plan B, follow up with this office and be pleased as I have been.

My wife and I live in Connecticut. She has a VERY low pain tolerance and has had so many negative experiences with dentists that for years I've had to fly her to California to receive treatment from the only dentist that she trusted. NO LONGER! Dr. Na was very sensitive to her needs. My wife has been in to get multiple cavities filled now with no anxiety and no pain. She claims that Dr. Na is the absolute BEST at administering novocaine injections as well! Dr. Na has literally saved my family hundreds of dollars in airline tickets. We would both recommend her highly to any family and friends! Thank you, Dr. Na... so much!
