After seeing numerous injuries on the ice at University of Denver hockey games in 1992, Dr. Stephen Barker approached the athletic director and suggested several protocols to help the injured players. The next year, Dr. Barker and the DU athletic department formed a partnership that has lasted to this day and covers all aspects of DU athletics. Dr. Barker was excited to witness back-to-back NCAA mens hockey championships in 2004 and 2005.
In 1994, Dr. Barker was asked to be the team dentist for the IHL Denver Grizzlies. The next year, the Grizzlies won the IHL Turner Cup championship. When the NHL Colorado Avalanche came to town in 1996, Southbridge Dentistry was chosen as the team dentists.
The Denver Outlaws, a Major League Lacrosse team, sought out Southbridge Dentistry as their Official Team Dentists from 2014-2017. We celebrated their 2014 MLL Championship win and even hosted the Steinfeld Trophy in the office. We look forward to this exciting opportunity to work with the coaches and players of the Denver Outlaws.
Caring for athletes and their dental health is a passion of all the doctors at Southbridge Dentistry. Dr. Barker, Dr. Svoboda and Dr. Hoover are extremely fortunate to be associated with these outstanding organizations and can be found cheering the teams on at most games.

I have been going to Southbridge for most of my life. I lost my insurance for a while and couldn't go. I tried other dentists but they just weren't anywhere near as great as Southbridge. I recently got to go back and I gotta say, they have kept up a wonderful level of professionalism and they do such a thorough job! I will keep going here for all my dental needs!

They obviously paid some company to delete and clean up all the bad reviews for their dental office. Poor practice and completely unethical. They are far more motivated by greed than dental health. My entire family will be exiting this practice and I will pass on our experience to others.

Excellent care and knowledgeable staff. Quickly but carefully inserted an implant while making sure to attend to any needs that I had. I'm very happy with the results and very little pain afterwards.

Great first experience with Dr. Svoboda! Everyone in the office is very friendly. Beautiful, modern office with the most impressive technology I've seen in a dental office. The dental assistant was excellent and she got me back within 10 minutes of my appointment time. Once she brought me back, I spent the entire visit with her and there was no time spent just sitting around waiting to be seen. Once we were done with all of the xrays/scans Dr. Svoboda came in and went over everything in depth, answered all of my questions, and gave me a detailed treatment plan. Probably the first time I haven't felt nervous in a dentist's office. The kind of caring and compassion that the entire staff displays on a daily basis just blows me away. It's like taking a time machine back to the 50s when doctors still cared about their patients. Lastly, they do present options with different costs available, and the options they feel may be right and fit with your budget. I will be back for another visit to hopefully get treatment for my dental work started. Chris in Littleton

Several different staff kept trying to sell me their dental plan. They ignored my request for no extra services. They charged me for X-rays which they did not take. No apology. I gave two stars because cleaning was good.

James did the most gentle cleaning I have ever experienced. All the dental assistants are excellent, but he was even better. Also, my new retainer is snug, fits perfectly. All in all a good day for an appointment I never look forward to.
