Dr. Umfress is a native of Senatobia, Miss. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Mississippi and attended graduate school at Mississippi College where he studied chemistry and biology. Afterwards, he earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery at Marquette University School of Dentistry in Milwaukee, Wis. Upon completion of dental school, Dr. Umfress completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry Residency Program at Marquette Dental School, which consisted of one year advanced training in all aspects of general dentistry.
I am Sandra (Sledge) Anderson, Office Manager for Southaven Dental Care. I have lived in this area for over 40 years and have been involved in dentistry for the last 24. I think a great smile is your greatest asset. It bridges nationalities, conflicts and happiness; therefore, keeping one in top condition is a good involvement. My name is Ashley Colburn. I am one of the dental assistants at Southaven Dental Care. I grew up in Byhalia, Miss and graduated from Concorde Career College in May of 2005. I have been working with Dr. Umfress since October of 2005. When I'm not working, I'm spending time with my daughter, Cadence.
My name is Briana. I graduated from Delta Technical College for Dental Assisting in 2016. Most of my free time is spent with my family. I am very happy to be the newest member of the Southaven Dental Care team. Although I have not been in the dental field for long, I have enjoyed every minute of it. It is very rewarding to be able to help people every day.
My name is Kelley Taylor. I graduated from the University of Mississippi Medical Center in 2009 with my bachelors in Dental Hygiene. I received the Colgate Community Award and the Central Mississippi Dental Hygienist Award. I live in Olive Branch, MS with my husband, Mac and daughter, Ella Ruth. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family, friends and traveling to new places. I have been a member of Southaven Dental Care since 2010. I am blessed to have such wonderful and caring co-workers and boss. I love working with my patients and I am dedicated to helping them achieve optimal dental health!
I graduated from Northeast Mississippi Community College in 2004, with my associates degree in dental hygiene. My husband, Ben, and I have been happily married for almost three years. We have one K9 child named Sheila. I enjoy using my skills to help others, whether it be volunteering in the local community or doing mission trips to Africa with my church. I believe that having a great smile helps build self-esteem and improves a persons confidence.
