Great Experience at South Western Dental with Dr. Ellenbecker - provided a treatment plan that was within my budget and didn't try giving me some outrageous plan like other places tried. Courteous staff and great people!

I've been a patient at South Western Dental for many years. Although I live an hours drive away, I have remained with South Western because of the staff. Dr. Jon is the only dentist I've ever trusted -- he knows what he's doing, he cares about his patients, and you never feel that he's rushing off for something else.

Whether for routine cleaning or dental work, I am always very satisfied with my dentist, Dr. Jon Ellenbecker, and the dental hygienists at South Western Dental. They are all very efficient and skilled at their work. Also, they run on schedule which I greatly appreciate.

My 18 year old daughter is autistic and intellectually disabled. Dr. Jon makes her checkups as quick and as simple as possible. We come every 6 months and each time my daughter does a little better because she is less anxious. Thanks South Western Dental and Dr. Jon!

Going to the dentist is never a good time but everyone here goes out of their way to make it the best experience. Dr. Hansen does a great job and the hygenists take the pain and misery out of the regular cleanings. If you need a new dentist, call them right away. I think you'll be glad that you did.

I consider Allie 's teeth cleaning process my semi-annual tooth massage, she is so gentle -- yet thorough! And Dr. Hansen has such a great smile, I feel she is an instant ally in the whole process. The reception staff is friendly and helpful, too! A great place for 'going to the dentist'!

As always, Dr. Hansen told me what she was planning on doing (no surprises), asked me periodically how I was doing, was gentle and calm. Dr. Hansen is very positive and affirming, yet honest at the same time. I have had much dental work over the years, and she puts me at ease when I am in the dental chair!

The staff is all so friendly and helpful. Janelle was my hygienist and was very thorough and so pleasant to talk to. Dr. Hansen is wonderful. She has an incredible memory! It's very apparent that she truly cares for her patients and loves her work.

Dr. Nicole Hartmann grew up about 100 miles north of Sioux Falls in Canby, MN. She got her undergraduate degree from Augustana University in 2005 before completing dental school at Creighton University in Omaha in 2009. From there, she and her husband decided to move closer to the mountains, and she spent the next 10 years living and practicing in Colorado Springs, CO. Dr. Hartmann joined South Western Dental in the summer of 2019 when her dad, Dr. Tim Berger, retired.

Dr. Hartmann is a member of the American Dental Association, the South Dakota Dental Association, the Colorado Dental Association, the Southeastern District Dental Society, and the Colorado Springs Dental Society. She has also spent time helping those in need: together with her patients and staff in Colorado Springs she was able to raise enough money to build a well for drinking water through the non-profit organization, Charity:Water, in Ethiopia. She has also participated in the Colorado Mission of Mercy program and both the Colorado and South Dakota donated dental program.

Dr. Hartmann knows that open communication is key to her job. She appreciates and respects each of her patients and works with them to create treatment plans that are specific for each patients needs. She specifically loves helping anxious patients to feel more comfortable and able to get their dental needs taken care of. She is also an Invisalign provider and enjoys cosmetic dentistry as well as total patient care.

Dr. Hartmann has two young children, and she and her husband love spending time together with their children and dog as much as they can. She also enjoys reading, hiking, cooking, and golfing in her spare time.
