South Vue Dentistry is a local, family-owned business. Were not part of a corporate chain, and we are answerable to no one but our patients. Here, you will find that Dr. Wesley Howard and his team deliver compassionate care and truly care about you and your situation.
We also use local dental laboratories instead of sending your dental work across the country. Our aim is to provide quick, friendly service and treatments that meet your needs. We also believe that your desires should play a huge part in your dental treatment, and we will never try to push unnecessary treatments on you.
Dr. Wesley Howard is a board-certified general dentist practicing in the South Hills of Pittsburgh. He is a graduate of the West Virginia University School of Dentistry and received his Masters degree focused on Public Health Preventative Dentistry from the West Virginia University School of Medicine.
Dr. Howard is a firm believer in organized, team-approached dentistry. This dedication is highlighted by his past and present affiliations with the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, Pennsylvania Dental Association, Pennsylvania Academy of General Dentistry, Dental Society of Western Pennsylvania and the West Virginia University School of Dentistry Alumni Association. He is an evidence-based clinician and has published research in the area of public health preventative dentistry. Dr. Howard has also been named as one of the Pittsburgh areas Top Doctors by his colleagues and peers.
Originally from the beautiful mountains of Fayetteville, West Virginia, Dr. Howard brings his dedication, passion, and southern accent to the South Hills of Pittsburgh. He is a fortunate husband to his wife, Melissa, a blessed father to both of his boys, Ryan and Sean, and a loyal Mountaineer alumnus. Aside from helping his patients, Dr. Howard enjoys playing any golf course, following sports, and spending time with friends and family. He lives his personal and professional life by practicing the Golden Rule treat others as you would want to be treated.

When I moved to Pittsburgh I needed to find a new dentist and I'm sure glad I found South Vue Denistry! They are the nicest group of people I've ever met in any medical office and they make the visit very relaxed. My wife was also looking for a new dentist in the area (she is from Pittsburgh but was searching for a new dentist because she did not like her previous one) and she made an appointment with South Vue. When she got out she called me and said the team was SUPER nice and she also appreciated Dr. Howard's approach to his practice! We highly recommend South Vue!

Dr. Howard and his staff are extremely nice and made the whole experience comfortable. I have always hated going to the dentist, but that has now changed! So glad I found this dentist. He was very understanding and accommodating to my lack of insurance and gave me great advice on how to handle all of my dental needs. I highly recommend using him as your dentist! I will definitely be a patient for life.

Dr. Howard and is staff provide superior care while making you feel like you are being taken care of by family. Conservative approach and thorough screenings. I love this office; don't think I'll ever switch!

I'm a new patient of Dr Howard's and can't say enough good things about him and his staff. I had one of my crowns come off during this pandemic and left a message on his answering machine. He personally called me back and assured me that he could help me out even though his office was closed. He is a very caring and professional man. Thank you Dr Howard for helping me out.

Visited Dr Howard to have a broken tooth repaired and had a wonderful experience with no pain or discomfort. He has a way of making you feel at ease even in less than ideal circumstances. I had such a positive experience here and would recommend South Vue Dentistry to all of my friends and family. Dr Howard and his staff are the best-professional, thorough and kind, and the office is in a great location right in the heart of the South Hills.

Dr. Wes Howard was able to get me in for an emergency appointment when I was having terrible tooth pain. Normally he would have been closed at this time and I wasn't even a current client. He was thorough with his examination and very knowledgeable which helped me understand the problem. He then referred me out to a specialist opposed to taking my money because he knew they could do it better. Most dentists I have been to always try to push their service to make the $$. The price I paid for the examination was very reasonable especially considering the time he spent with me and the fact that I don't have insurance. I've been to 3 other dentists over the last 5 years and was disappointed in all of them. I plan to continue going to South Vue Dentistry now for my regular cleanings and any other problems I have.

Had not been back to office since Dr Spencer retired and we moved 30 miles away, I am not a fan of Dentists but I cracked a tooth in half vertically Sunday evening. Called Monday morning and was sitting in Dr Howards chair 2 hours later. Outstanding staff and loved Dr Howard. I am older, and dread Dentists....I will continue to visit this office even though its 30 miles away....Dr Howard cared about me, my pain and my comfort. Thank you

I visited Southvue Dentistry for the first time last month. I hadn't been to an "adult" dentist since my pediatric dentist. Dr. Howard and his team are AMAZING. I had to wait about a month or so for an appointment due to COVID and my appointment not being an emergency, but it was worth the wait! My hygienist was MaryAnna or MaryElla (I can't remember her name) but she was SO KIND, gentle, and thorough. Dr. Howard was exactly the same. I felt so comfortable with both the hygienist and Dr. Howard. I have to go back in the near future for some fillings but I have no doubt they'll do great work. I highly recommend them if you're looking for a new dentist in the South Hills area.
