Also, in the early 1980s a clinic in Asherton was opened. After some time, the organization determined it was more effective to locate a clinic in Dimmit County in Carrizo Springs and in 1983 the clinic was opened in Carrizo.
STRHS, Inc was offered property and a building by the Armando C. Garcia family in Cotulla and in 2004 we completed a renovation of the building and opened the Armando C. Garcia Community Center Building.
In 2006, STRHS was asked by the Department of State Health Services to expand our Substance Abuse Program to Maverick County. At that time we opened the Eagle Pass Behavioral Health offices in a rented space.

This facility has always been great to use. They are very knowledgeable, clean, organized and friendly. South Texas Rural Health Services will also base your bill on your income level if you need help paying for health or dental care and they also accept insurance if you have it.

Excellent customer service in the dental office. I was greeted by a friendly receptionist, and assisted me immensely in processing my paperwork. Dental assistant was extremely professional and friendly. Dentist was extremely patient friendly and explained everything clearly. Highly recommend.

charged my wife $90 just to brush her teeth and tell her she needed a few fillings. Couldnt even perform other minor surgeries normal dentists would like tooth pulling had to refer us out. Terrible

I been afraid of dental work and put off a exam for a long time. So a tooth got away from me. Dr. Randy and his kind staff had me in and out. Great work on a monday inspite of what look like a stressful start to there day.

I been afraid of dental work and put off a exam for a long time. So a tooth got away from me. Dr. Randy and his kind staff had me in and out. Great work on a monday inspite of what look like a stressful start to there day.

Another voice in the chorus of "I would like to give zero stars". (And I am not prone to saying such things). The staff was not awful, but the dentist is! He is very rude, totally insensitive, and doesn't apparently believe in the dentist's Hippocratic Oath. We are now driving twice as far to take my son (disabled adult) to the South Texas Rural Health Services dentist in Cotulla, who is a warm and wonderful, and competent, individual.

I would give a 0 star but since that is not an option here I will give a 1 . This place lacks common courtesy and professionalism. People come here because they are sick and or needing medical help and the last thing they want to do is deal with rude attitude of staffs but that's all you get from the time you walk in the door to the time you leave. The place is nice and clean but the workers makes the visit uncomfortable and upsetting. They don't tell you anything, expecting you to know what to do or to expect. They probably assume that everybody that goes here have been to hospitals or clinics before to know what to do/expect, forgetting that that that is not always the case. You have to ask questions to know what to do because if you don't you'll leave feeling clueless and frustrated. But still asking questions gets you the run around or are answered rudely. The dental services is so much better than medical. At least the people working there, including the doctors, are so much nicer and helpful than what you get on the other side of the building.
