Dr. Jyoti Kansal is originally from India. After graduating valedictorian in high school, she earned her bachelors degree majoring in dentistry from Manipal University, India where she graduated cum laude. She then pursued a Preceptorship Certificate from University of California, Los Angeles and Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from New York University College of Dentistry. While in dental school, she was inducted into Omicron Kappa Upsilon, a national dental honor society. Dr. Kansal likes to keep herself updated with the most innovative developments and techniques to provide the highest level of comprehensive dental care to her patients. She believes in delivering excellent care with a personal touch for all her patients.
Before moving to Tampa, Dr. Kansal practiced in Lake Mary, Florida. She and her husband are excited to raise their infant in Tampa which offers a perfect amalgamation of a big city and a small town. When not transforming patients smiles, Dr. Kansal loves spending time with family, cooking, reading and traveling.

My visit was pleasant and the people there were great!! State of the art X-rays and Dr, Kansel took time to explain everything she was doing and her recommendations. I will definitely be going back!!

South Tampa Dental Studio is great!! Dr. Kansal is so nice and caring! She does a great job explaining the steps with my Invisalign. She answers all my questions and she always asks if I am feeling comfortable during her exams! You can tell she cares about her patients! The office is warm and inviting, and the rest of the team is always so nice during my visits! Thank you STDS!

The attention I receive on visits to South Tampa Dental Studio is always really good. Exams and clean n polish reatments are unrushed and really thorough. I was especially grateful to Ms. Laura on my last visit for using a topical treatment that virtually erased my sensitivity to the water pick; a spectacular inovation, I was so grateful. Thank you STDS, this is the new standard.

I had been putting off the dentist for about 4 years because I hate it. My wife booked me at ST Dental Studio and it was a great experience! The cleaning was painless, the doctor answered all my questions and the office was clean. Bonus points for the great communication on text before my appointment. I'll be back regularly for my cleanings!

This was my first visit to the South Tampa Dental Studio and I must say, it was truly a pleasure. Dr. Kansal and all of the staff members are very professional and super friendly. Thank you for making my dental visit such a pleasant experience! See you in January!

Starting with the front office staff and ending wirh the dentist, this facility deserve 10 stars! The office is clean, the staff is kind and professional and the dentist is extremely caring, thorough and gentle ! Best experience I have had at a dentist office and I won't go anywhere else from here on out! Thank you for providing excellent care to your patients and making each visit a pleasant one !

Went to get a chip in my bonding fixed..no one was at the office at the time they told me to arrive. Also in the confirmation call to tell me to come early, they didn't mention I would need to get X-rays redone (just had xrays done and there's no damage to my tooth just a chip in the bonding) AND have an exam before they could fix my tooth. Already $100 in before they even priced out the chip in my tooth. Been to a lot of cosmetic dentists down here trying to find one as good as my PA dentist. Would not recommend this place for a cosmetic fix

No harassments here. Just the truth. Spoke to Jen by phone. South Tampa Dental Studio made several simple mistakes with my care. A simple, I am sorry, is all I wanted. Yes, I corresponded with STDS by email-answering their emails to me. Jen did not feel personally safe speaking with me by phone. This was after she was eavesdropping on a personal conversation I had after our call did not disconnect that had nothing to do with Jen or anyone at South Tampa Dental Studios. Yes, I am frustrated and angry because STDS broke their word, lied, and was doing nothing to help me. I am sick and tired of getting ripped off by doing the right thing. I am tired of people like STDS not taking responsibility for their mistakes and actions-out right lies. What South Tampa Dental Studio was wrong on many many levels and they know it. ZERO STARS- DO NOT GO HERE. These are the most heartless and incompetent people I have ever met. They lied and made excuses over a minor issue. Because of their lies it became a huge issue and negatively impacted my health still today. They only care about themselves and getting their money. They still owe me $223.00. for a problem they created by not listening to me. That does not include the $4500 I paid to another dentist 3 weeks later to pull a tooth that South Tampa dental studio told me was okay. It was not . She also told me a chipped tooth needed a crown in May. When I returned in Nov she told me that tooth just needed a filling. SHE WAS WRONG!! That's borderline malpractice doing an unnecessary procedure. if I had let her do the the filling the tooth could have continued to deteriorate until it would need to be pulled because it needed a crown not a filling. They made a lot of mistakes and refused to take responsibility. Nothing is their fault. They are Gods. 100% perfect all the time. Their thoughts and opinions are all that matters. I was just another stupid patient to them. Unfortunately, they underestimated my knowledge, understanding of dentistry and intelligence. The bottom line is they did not listen to me which in turn caused me extra pain, suffering. and agony. I went to 3 other dental professionals after my visit so they could fix the damage left by South Tampa Dental Studio. Jen the so called office manager has been in this field for many years but wasn't very knowledge about customer service, tooth decay, insurance, how it works. and was very unprofessional communicating to me about my health. She also has personal problems that she overshared with me. Very unprofessional. This is a business. Like everyone else, leave your personal problems at home when you go into work. This office DOES NOT make any mistakes in their eyes. They created 3 problems for me and were unwilling to do anything to help fix their mistake. I have left voice message after message without any return calls. I get a heartless email responses only telling me what she wanted me to hear not addressing the concern. On my 1st visit they told me I was due for full x-rays. I told them it wasn't covered by my insurance and they did it anyway at my cost. I called my insurance four times to confirm that I was due for an exam, a cleaning and bite wing x-rays in Nov. Five times when I was in the office I asked for bite wing x rays. They refused by lying and saying they had already contracted my insurance before my appointment. Also, while I was getting my cleaning they tried to call my insurance "again" because they did not believe me. When I left, the front desk clerk told me she would call my insurance verify/call me to schedule. My insurance company shows that STDS never contacted my insurance company at all. Three weeks later, I called the office to follow up and see why they dropped the ball. No understanding, an apology or any kind of sympathy or empathy for the situation that they created. I know I'm not the only patient they've done this to and that is the scary part. I hope no one has to go through what I went through with this office. It makes me very sad to see how they treat people.

My experience at South Tampa Dental Studio was great. The staff at reception as well as Lilly and Jyoti were all so friendly and professional. Thorough diagnostics were done and I was kept informed through out the check up and cleaning process. Lilly was gentle and left my teeth feeling sparkly clean. Jyoti was very knowledgeable and made me feel at ease and that my teeth were in competent hands. The treatment plan was reasonable with no upselling or unnecessary procedures recommended. I highly recommend this practice.

I have always had a terrible fear of the dentist that has kept me from getting cleanings as regularly as I should. This morning I went to South Tampa Dental Studio for my first cleaning and check up in years, and it was like a completely different experience! The staff were all extremely kind, patient, and knowledgeable. I highly recommend this dentist, particularly if you are someone who gets anxious about dentist appointments. Dr. Kansal put me completely at ease in a way I have never experienced before.

Dr. Kansal, I would absolutely not recommend. She did two crowns at another location, both need to be redone. My new Dentist can not believe how poorly they were made and prepared. One even fell out. Very nice and I really hate to write this, but I feel obligated being that I am having to pay to have her services fixed. These crowns were done in 2018, and replaced in 2020/ 21. Just unacceptable.
