Dr. Mark Anderson is committed to excellence in dentistry. He considers it his personal obligation to provide only the highest quality dental care to his patients. Dr. Mark believes in creating a passion for dentistry by empowering his patients with as much information and technology as is available. He is dedicated to a family practice and strives to meet each individuals needs and goals in the most comfortable and efficient manner possible.
Dr. Anderson is a graduate of Augustana College and completed his dental education at the University of Illinois. He is devoted to Chicago's South and West Suburb's, where he has practiced since 1983.His involvement in professional organizations has enabled him to stay on the leading edge of dentistry's advances in technology and procedures. Dr. Mark is a member of the following professional organizations:
Outside of the practice, Dr. Mark cherishes the time he spends with his children and their activities. He is also a loyal Chicago Sports Fan, and enjoys participation in a wide variety of activities depending on the season.
Our practice has grown and in order to continue providing you with the best standard of care, we are bringing on a new dentist. We are very excited to welcome Dr. Matt Yurchak to South Suburban Dental.
Born and raised in the Chicago land area, Dr. Matt graduated from Illinois State University, where he then went on to complete dental school at Midwestern University-IL. During his time at Midwestern University, Dr. Yurchak had extensive training in diagnostic/treatment planning, restorative/cosmetic dentistry, dentures, rotary endodontics, oral surgery,Invisalign, lasers, implants, new and upcoming digital scanning technology.
In his free time, Dr. Matt enjoys spending time with his friends and family, volunteering throughout the community, exploring downtown Chicago, spending time on the golf course, and is an avid sports fan of the Chicago Blackhawks, Cubs, and the Bears.
Dr. Matt Yurchak is passionate about helping his patients achieve the best oral health they can achieve. His dental philosophy involves putting his patients in a position to succeed by managing his or her individual oral health care with the guidance of the dental team. Understanding his patients needs and expectations are a necessity so that he can ensure patient satisfaction. He enjoys getting to know each of his patients on a personal level allowing him to not only understand their dental expectations and knowledge, but their personal interests as well. This relationship allows him to create a personalized treatment plan to cater to each of his patients specific needs. His overall goal is to have every one of his patients leave the dental office with a smile on their face that they love and want the world to see.
Dr. Yurchak also believes strongly in continuing education to not only make himself the best practitioner he can be, but to also stay on top of the ever changing landscape of dental materials and technology.

The office is very clean and professionally run. Dr. Matt is a really great dentist and the hygienists do a thorough cleaning job.

They were very friendly and thorough with the cleaning. I want to update this. I no longer go to this dentist office. I wanted to be in the room with my 6 year old my daughter while she got her cavities filled. The dentist told me no. He said he has to build trust with her so she doesn't grow up being afraid of the dentist. (She isn't afraid of the dentist at all.) Then he said he has had experience with parents causing the children to be afraid by asking them things like 'is he hurting you?'; or 'is he being too rough?' I have never done that. He knows I just sit there and observe the child God gave me, which is my responsibility and not the dentist's. He also said if there is any problem they would retrieve me from the waiting room. So, he wants me to sit in the waiting room and if there is some issue and my daughter is bleeding, past out or whatever, I have to just use the information the dentist wants to give me, I don't think so. He told me if I don't feel comfortable about him taking her back there without me then I should find a new dentist. I said ok. Then he stormed off and told the secretary that they won't be seeing my daughter today. What happened to the friendly guy I used to see at the dentist's office? Also, one time as I was watching my son get his dental work done, this same dentist came behind me and started massaging my shoulders which was so weird. He shouldn't do that.

My first visit to the dental office,the staff was very friendly and made me feel very comfortable.Dr.Anderson was awesome with gentle hands. RoseAnn was great ,I sat still for my deep cleaning No pain.....

Dr. Anderson is hands down the best dentist ever! I've been going to him since I was a kid, and now my kids go and love him, too. All of the hygienists, and office staff are amazing, too!

Dr Mark Andersen is the BEST dentist I have had in my 70 years. His staff is also the greatist. His office is spotless and decorated pleasantly. I drive from Frankfort to Blue Island just to go here. I have a very involved mouth and he's always taken such good care of me. Just a note: he listens to WXRT, which is my favorite radio station.

Haven't been to the dentist in years and they were really patient and understanding with my anxiety. Didn't feel uncomfortable or judged. Took their time with me and explained everything. Glad I chose this place!
